"We had a wonderful stay at Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel. The harbor view from our room was beautiful, especially in the morning, and the high-floor arrangement made it even better. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were professional and attentive, and they kindly prepared baby amenities such as a crib and bathtub, which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety and a relaxed atmosphere. The location is excellent for walking around the harbor area and enjoying Kobe’s scenery. Overall, a very pleasant and reliable hotel experience that we would gladly recommend."

"Hands down best stay so far during my 15 days in Japan and the service is really immaculate. I've been to Japan on several solo trips and this is easily one of the most memorable hotels. The staff are really nice and the hotel room view is incredible. The room they upgraded me to speaks for itself, beautiful bathroom and really good amenities. Although the hotel is situated off the mainland, there is a portliner rail service and also a complementary shuttle service to two of the main stations in Kobe city area. Really value for money."

"I found the rooms surprisingly spacious and comfortable for Japan, easily accommodating my needs with great lighting and bedding. I was impressed by the excellent cleanliness and appreciated the professional, English-speaking staff who helped me with local tips and luggage. While I enjoyed the convenient facilities like the private bath areas and free amenities, I did notice some areas where the hotel could update older fixtures or be more consistent with daily maintenance."

"Hotel renovated with high tech projector which is a surprise. The bathroom is spotless clean and the water pressure and water temperature is great! Room is spacious for family of 4 with primary school kids. Since the hotel is full book which we book a smoking room which smell smoke which is not surprise. Next time will book a non-smoking room."

"Excellent location, 3 minutes from the metro station. A landmark, a temple, is located 5 minutes away. The room was on the 11th floor with a stunning view! Spacious room, comfortable bathroom. The staff helped us solve our problem at the entrance in a short time, for which we are especially grateful. I recommend staying here."

"We had a great stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located in Sannomiya, close to the main areas and subway lines. THe hotel looks wonderful with a more classical design than modern hotels, but was still clean and efficient. The room was spacious unlike many hotels in Japan and even had a small bathtub, which was great to relax after a day of sightseeing. The hotel also has an onsen, but we didn't check it out."
