The use of space is great. Although it is small, it has all the necessary features. It has a big bed and is comfortable to sleep on. You can put your suitcase under the bed. It is not far from the bus stop and there are many restaurants nearby.
Breakfast is provided free of charge. Although there are not many options, it is pretty good.
The living environment is hygienic and tidy.
Check-in was not smooth. First, the staff said they couldn't find our reservation record, and then they said they had found it. When we had helped the children to take a shower in the room, the staff knocked on the door with another guest and said they gave us the wrong room, so We packed our luggage, went to the lobby to go through the formalities, and then went to the correct room. It took a while... Other aspects were actually good, with complete facilities, a powerful air dryer, and a washing machine.

A Hidden Gem Near Kumamoto Station
The rooms are cozy and well-designed, offering stunning views that really add to the experience. One of the highlights is the hot spring, which features both indoor and outdoor areas, letting you unwind while enjoying beautiful scenery. There’s also a separate space dedicated to enjoying foot baths, which adds a nice touch to the relaxation.
Conveniently located, the hotel is connected to a department store with a variety of restaurants and shops. Don’t miss the bakery downstairs—their croissants and bread are freshly baked, crispy, and delicious.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely revisit this hidden gem. Highly recommended!
It was nice to have a comfortable stay.
The location is also close to the new town, and the location is satisfactory.
Breakfast and morning newspaper distribution were also helpful.
However, although the decisive factor in my choice was the parking lot and free breakfast, I was charged a parking fee of 500 yen locally, and I couldn't find the page on which it was written, so I had no choice but to pay.
The whole room is Japanese-style, clean and quiet, suitable for those who want to experience a Japanese-style homestay. The hotel is very convenient to both the jr station and the tram station, and there is no problem in traveling. In addition, the boss and the proprietress are very enthusiastic. We bought lotus root and would not eat it and wanted to ask the boss. The boss directly helped us cook. The breakfast here is also top-notch, and it was made by the boss himself. Recommend everyone to book a room with breakfast. All in all a very pleasant experience.
Hotel staff: cordial and courteous👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hotel parking lot 🅿️: 1,000 yen per day, unlimited access
Location: Very convenient, there are restaurants + shops + department stores nearby, and Kumamon Plaza is also very close!
Room: It’s a small room with two beds. If we put them together, 2 big and 2 small, we can barely sleep together!
Breakfast: buffet style, different styles every day! The room price is so cheap and the breakfast is of this level, which is very acceptable! Udon soup, curry rice, bread, salad, soybean soup...
Supplies: Get your own toothbrush and toothpaste, DHC facial cleansing and skin care set, razor, pajamas, and tea bags in the hotel lobby! And the big towel is in the room!
👉🏻 The hotel has clothes dryer (30 minutes/100 yen), washing machine (200 yen) and washing powder (30 yen)
👉🏻 There are water dispensers, drink machines, microwave ovens, and photocopying machines in the lobby..
I forgot to take photos of the hotel😅
In fact, it’s similar to the pictures provided by the hotel😄
There is a dedicated car park and the breakfast is good. The restaurant is equivalent to an event room with free homemade shaved ice. Some books can be browsed, and there are three automatic massage chairs for relaxing. The bus stop is at the entrance, and there is a direct bus to the airport opposite the station. Both the airport and Mount Aso are particularly convenient. The tram is also in front of the hotel. Behind the hotel is a wetland park and river at the water outlet. The water is clear.

QQ. Yong ShengDidn’t took any photos of the hotel as I felt that most of the other guest would have done so. However I wish to update new travellers about what to expect when staying in this hotel, you will get to see a tower parking just beside the hotel, that parking is sort of affiliated to the hotel hence you can park there and pay just a fixed rate. At my time of stay at Nov2024 period it was about 1200JPY per 24hours. You can park anytime and take the car out anytime to drive out based on what we have experienced. There are lots of food places nearby
Take note that you are in the heart of Kumamoto city and when checking out and driving out of the city, our issue was there were too many cars and the Google maps is not responding well perhaps due to the tall buildings. Took a long way out before we reached the Kyushu highway. Hence do familiar yourself with the routes when leaving.
Hotel is great! I been a fan of candeo hotels, love the fact that we can go to the onsen late at night too
KKit Hong MichaelThe location is very good. It is very close to either the Kumamoto Castle or the Ginza Dori;
The staff is polite and sincere;
Room is tidy and neat;
The only disadvantage is hotel doesn’t have their own carpark. Fortunately, there are many carpark nearby.
VVictorliThe location is perfectly awesome, which locates one the top of the mall, and the street vendors are across from it. There is a supermarket nearby as well. The room is clean and most of the things are fine. Of course, it’s not spacious but enough for a couple to stay for a few nights.
SSaowalukThe hotel is in an excellent location, just a 200-meter walk from the exit near Starbucks at Kumamoto Station, 100 meters from the tram station, and only 20 meters from the bus station to Mojiko. If you arrive before check-in or need to store luggage after check-out, the hotel provides convenient luggage storage. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay.
DDenimBlueA lovely little hotel just a few minutes’ walk from the Sakuramachi bus station. Very convenient for getting to the Aso volcano by high speed bus. The station is inside a big mall and you can do most of your shopping there too.
The hotel itself was comfy, and I got to do my laundry there which was ace.
BBao QuocGood location, 2 minute walk to Sakuramachi Bus Station for long distance bus or city bus and also near tram station for city roaming. The kumamoto is easily accessed with a 10 minute walk. The room size and amenities are standard and clean.
GGuest UserThe soundproofing is not good. Although everyone has a separate cubicle, there is no separate locker area, so the noise of people taking things is very loud. The front desk staff does not speak English very well. When I checked in on the second night, the front desk staff told me that someone who claimed to be my friend took my room key, which was quite scary. Later I found out that this person was the resident next door, but I didn't know her at all.
GGuest UserI honestly do not know where to start, I booked the hotel without really knowing much about Kumamoto Prefecture. After arriving in Kumamoto City and then realising Ueki Onsen is another 40 minute bus ride I was thinking oh dear where am I staying. After arriving at the hotel I was greeted by the manager of the hotel who showed me to my room and gave me a tour of the facilities. Once settled in I realised there isn't great public transport around and I primarily wanted to see Beppu and Yufuin during my stay, I enquired with the manager on where I might be able to rent a car, with little to no Japanese language under my belt he took it upon himself to reserve a vehicle for me and offered to drive me himself to collect it. He then also said he would take me back to return it a few days later. After my trips to Beppu and Yufui village (Not to be missed) and not to miss the outstanding and beautiful surroundings in Uekimachi and the Aso region. The manager and I set off to return my hire car, on the way back he took me to Kikuchi shrine to pray and also gifted me coffee and cake. They also accommodated me with use of the on site onsen (amazing) after hours as I'm heavily tattooed. I feel truly grateful to have found this hidden gem of rural Japan and if you are thinking of traveling this great country I emplore you to go off the beaten path. I experienced untold kindness during my stay and have memories of a life time. Thank you so much guys
