This resort hotel features a leisure facility and is situated on a hilltope with views of Takahashi River, one of the three major rivers of Okayama Prefecture. null
"We are a family travelling with 3 kids so we drive a car, and factored in luggage space.
1) Vessel hotel has hands-down one of the best beds ever! We checked and realised it was a Simmons mattress so the beds really offered us deep & restful sleep!! Love this!
2) The carpark was right outside the hotel so it was super convenient not having to walk up & down diff storeys to take things from car. We returned to hotel ard 10pm on 1 night & there were no more parking lots! We’d have to park at a multi-storey building that was 12mins walk away, which wld have been v convenient.
3) The breakfast was yummy. We went in summer & enjoyed the Barazushi (Okayama special during festivals) & the rice was sweet, salty, flavourful, and delicious with prawn, eggs, eel, lotus roots (see pic). Really yummy! Try it
4) Hotel staff were very helpful! We asked for an extra luggage stand so we wldnt need to bend too low & they brought it immediately.
5) There’s a big supermarket just across the road with cheap groceries that we stocked up on for our road trip.
6) If you intend to drive, this is a highly recommend hotel in Kurashiki!! Wld stay here again! It was great!"
"It is suitable for a room to live alone, because it is just a tatami. If you want a family to live, you have to remove the blankets, tables, and chairs. You have to remove the quilt cover and other products from the cabinet. It is not convenient to spread it yourself, and the space is too small. There is a bathroom inside and the bathroom is separated. This is better, there is also a kitchen, the overall space is suitable for one or two people, the luggage has to find an extra place to store, the room can be put at two o'clock"
"There is a microwave in the room which is quite convenient. There is a supermarket next to it. There is also a bathtub. It is simple, clean and quite comfortable. It is not far from the station and can be reached on foot. I recommend it."
"This was my first stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located near the station and an outlet mall, about a 5-10 minute walk away, mostly on flat ground. However, there aren't many convenience stores nearby; the closest option is a supermarket that's open until 11 PM, which is quite handy.
Upon check-in, the front desk informed us that check-in was between 11 AM and 3 PM, but we could already hear vacuuming noises as early as 9:30 AM.
**Room:**
The room was quite cramped, barely allowing enough space to open two 28-inch suitcases. The bathroom had good ventilation and was very clean. The soundproofing, however, could be improved. We could clearly hear people walking or talking in the corridor, and even the cleaning staff when they were on the same floor. The TV remote control was quite dusty, and the reception between the remote and the TV was poor. The air conditioning unit was located above the bed and was reasonably quiet. The hallways had low ceilings and were quite dim.
**Local Area/Activities:**
There are numerous restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is also accessible with about a 20-minute walk.
**Safety:**
I had some concerns regarding safety. The public bath could be accessed without a card, and the doors to both the men's and women's baths were frequently left open.
**Walkability:**
A supermarket is conveniently located about 5 minutes away on foot. Kurashiki Station is a 5-8 minute walk, and it's easily accessible not only by road but also via a connecting pedestrian bridge, which is very convenient. Ario Kurashiki and Mitsui Outlet Park Kurashiki are both within a 10-minute walk.
**Dining:**
There's a dining area located on the lobby floor, and breakfast can be purchased separately. Snacks and drinks are available for ¥200 each. Additionally, near the front desk, there's a self-service area offering daily essentials and green tea powder.
**Important Notes:**
The large public bath is not a natural hot spring (onsen). The changing room is quite small, with only about 10-12 lockers, 3 vanity stations, and 4 shower stalls. The shower water pressure was a bit low, and the water temperature was inconsistent. The bath itself was also quite shallow. It is open 24 hours. There is one massage chair available for guest use. There's only one elevator, which is not very spacious, leading to longer waiting times. Rooms only have two door hanger options: 'refill towel' or 'please clean,' which must be placed outside the door before 11 AM for service. Self-service laundry and drying facilities are available."
"The location of the hotel is incredible! It is just beside the main station exit. The place was in pristine condition, very spacious and the staff extremely polite.
The only down side is that it doesn't have a restaurant in which you could have breakfast. There are alot of great places to eat nearby but that would be a bonus."
"The place was small, but it was close to the station, so that was helpful.
It was near a bar, so it was noisy at night and I couldn't sleep well, but I thought it would be fine if I was just staying overnight."
"Nice cozy hotel with a lot of benefits but some space for improvement. Breakfast is okayish, matress is fine, location couldn't be better.
Other positives:
Attentive staff, great lounge on the roof floor with tea and coffee available, laundry with congestion monitoring, someone will appreciate local alcohol tasting. The lighting in the room is soft. Great japanese robes in the room!
Negatives:
-Youtube in TV constantly freezes
-Opening hours of most facilities are upsetting. Don't understand why you can't access this facilities most of the day.
Why you can't play pool or workout in the gym until 3 p.m.?
-Female onsen is worse, than men's. How so? No sauna, no Dyson fans for women. And can you please place any type of clock in onsen. If you ask people to leave at midnight, they better know how long until midnight.
-Only three bicycles for rent and they are not well maintained, have a lot of rust, make squeaking noises and so on.
-Sadly, the gym does not deliver. Can you please at least add some more heavy dumbells and add a pull up rack.
Overall it was a pleasant stay. I really wish they would fix these minor issues."
"It is super close to Kurashiki Station. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the hotel to Kurashiki. I think the convenient transportation is the biggest selling point of the hotel. Although the room is a bit old but very clean, the reception staff is kind and courteous.
Mineral water is provided in the room, and empty bottles can be filled in the water dispenser on the fifth floor lobby!
Ice cubes, coin machines available on the sixth floor
Smoking Rooms 7th Floor, 9th Floor"
"#positive #I was happy with the Bed comfort level, Room layout; It is within walking distance from Kurashiki Station and across the road from the railway area. The room is spacious, with a double sofa and coffee table. It is separated into wet and dry areas. The bathroom is so large that it reminds people of a public bathroom. Not only is there a large bathtub, but the bathing part is outside the bathtub. This is only seen in Japanese hotel rooms, which are generally small in size. The hotel reception is on the second floor. The male owner is about 40 years old, and there is an old mother who looks like him. Not long after checking in, I received a call from the store, asking what time breakfast would be delivered the next day, or eggs, etc. It was said to be delivered at 8 o'clock, and the old mother brought the plate at 7:50.
Luggage storage is accepted, which made it convenient for us to walk to see ”Kurashiki Beauty”."
