We spent a couple of nights at the Hotel Towadaso on our latest trip to Japan and found it to be a decent base for visiting the area. It is quite a big hotel and caters to the numerous bus tours that roll through the area, so it has a bit of a mass tourism feel to it which we didn’t like. The location is OK, just a 5-minute walk to the lake front, however not a very inspiring location. The hotel was clean and well-presented, ****s under control, but with an air of faded grandeur. The reception staff were all good, very helpful and spoke a little bit of English. Our Japanese style room was lovely, very large and airy, with plenty of areas for storage and room to spread out (but drastically lacking hooks to hang things on. Our futon bed was comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. The room was clean and well-maintained. The walls however are a bit thin, so you are able to hear your neighbors engaged in conversation, and also a bit of noise from the hallway. There is a number of restaurants on site. The one we ate our dinners at wasn’t all that great. The food was quite bland and tasteless and not much that was even recognizable. Luckily we had some extra food with us to supplement with. The breakfast, on the other hand, was quite good, but you eat it in this massive industrial type cafeteria that is obviously geared up for the mass bus tours. Good food, zero ambience. The hotel wifi was intermittent, almost unusable in the evenings, so we just switched to 4G data. So overall, not a bad experience, but we’d probably look for something else if we were to stay in the area again.
The room is a bit worried that the bed is close to the entrance, but it is quiet and has ample size and calm. I think it is the point of passing that there is no amenities or facilities in the building. I want ice machines to be placed on the upper floor. I think breakfast is too much for free. Is it a respect for you to have yogurt or sausage?

The private parking lot is small in car width, but free. The room and bath are roughly the same as the supermarket hotel in Hachinohe. The difference is that there is no tea bag in the room. When I switched the air conditioner, it smelled very moldy. The bed feels a bit moldy. I thought I would change the room, but it is troublesome to move my luggage together, so it is only one night. The indoor slippers are too wide to walk. I want a power outlet on the pillow. Close to the window glass with a crow's fun. The breakfast menu is more than Hachinohe's super hotel and the taste is the same. The content of the free breakfast is good, so the overall evaluation was ★3.
I booked on Rakuten Travel on the day on a solo trip. It is a few minutes walk from the Towada City Museum of Contemporary Art. It is also a few minutes to Lawson. It was 3300 yen, but the response of the woman at the front desk was great, the room was beautiful, and it was satisfactory.
On March 7th and 8th, I visited Towada City for my daughter's graduation ceremony. I was also moving, so I stayed there for two nights to be present at the termination of the apartment contract I had been on for three years. The first night was a little luxurious, so I stayed at Oirase Onsen to celebrate graduation. Then on the second night, I stayed at Pony Onsen. It was reasonably priced, close to town, and had the best hot spring water quality. The lights were a little dim in the onsen reserved for guests, but it didn't feel like a hot spring in the city, which was great. If you're looking for an inn in Towada City, I recommend Pony Onsen.
When I searched for ”near hot springs” at Lake Ogawara, the roadside station, it came out, so I went immediately. So, it's my first time, so why not wander around the bathhouse? I don't know who, but I was told, ”Wash your body and then enter.” I thought I knew it. I felt sick. At the timing of entering and leaving the sauna, I heard a voice from a distance saying, ”When you take a cold bath, wash your body and then enter.” Is there something being monitored? I wondered if I didn't want some stranger to come.
Although there are many lonely places in the Showa period when it is called a hot spring inn in the countryside, this is a business hotel like an inn. There is a main building and an annex, the building is beautiful, there is no bath and toilet in the room, but the facilities are clean, the hot springs are also hanging and the amount of hot water is abundant. The room has a futon on the tatami bed and it is not uncomfortable to sleep in.
Although the facility was quite old, the price was reasonable and the rooms were well-cleaned, so I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a traditional Japanese inn. I visited by train, and it is just a short walk from the east exit of Misawa Station on the Aoimori Railway, and you can see the building from the station platform, so it's easy to get lost.
There is a large public bath, but it seems to be unisex, so women in particular should remember to lock the door when using it. My room was on the first floor, but the Wifi signal was weak.

TtrippyNYCI wasn't expecting much but my stay was superb. I didn't really know where to stay after Oirase Gorge and I chose here because of the yakitori photos. The inn is small, only ten rooms with six currently used. The room is tatami and futon, more of an older style ryokan-type room. I opened the window at night for the cool air and the street is quiet. It also helped to not hear voices from other rooms. Dinner quantity was very large. I was afraid breakfast would be too big but it was ok cause they were small bites and sauces. Both meals used local items. The onsen switches who gets to use rotenburo morning or night. It was rainy when I arrived so it was great to be so close to Oirase gorge so I could go back again the next day with sunny skies. This was a fun place to stay, excellent food, quaint lodging and very friendly and helpful staff.

XXINGQIThe hotel is located in the deep mountains of Hakkoda, at the entrance of Takada Odake, about 500 meters walk from the Yachi Onsen jr bus station (the bus only runs twice a day). The hot spring has been open for more than 400 years. The building of the hotel, including the hot spring, feels relatively old, and the TV in the room is still the same as in the 1980s. The dinner was unexpectedly good, and the taste of each dish was amazing and just right. Deep in the mountains, thick duvets will be covered at the end of July, and it doesn’t feel hot at all. After checking out the next day, the hotel can be driven to Aomori Station.
