We were a family of seven and found this hotel perfect for our visit to Luang Prabang. On a map it looks close to the city but as it’s up a mountain it’s actually a 12km journey (35 mins) much of it on unpaved roads, but this is an authentic Lao experience. We hired local mini vans for our visits out at $35 for a round trip, organinised by the hotel. The staff are friendly and the restaurant open 8 am to 8 pm with a good mix of Lao and western food and surprisingly good for such a small place. The rooms don’t have ac but the thick blanket on the beds attest to the fact that it is much cooler at this altitude and we were there in the hot season. The pool was well maintained and with great views of the mountains, and well used by the children. I am happy to recommend this establishment.
The decoration of the hotel has nothing to say about the hardware and software facilities. The breakfast is a la carte but the quality is very good. Because it is a family with a baby, the assigned room feels dark overall, and the child will be a little scared to take a bath; there is no TV in the room, the swimming pool is small, the overall hotel occupies a small area, and there is no fitness room, so the fun is not high. I booked a triple room, and there is an additional price of 800 RMB for an extra bed with a child, which is 4,500 per night. I feel that the price/performance ratio is a little low, and it is not a hotel suitable for parents and children. It is more suitable for couples who are good at English and can easily communicate with the housekeeper to obtain more information about hotel value-added services.

This hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the city center. There are pick-up and drop-off vehicles. There is a timetable every day. So it’s not too annoying to travel. Breakfast is generally nothing to have quality things, just ordinary food. The hotel is built next to a rice field. The scenery is not bad. It is suitable for travelers who like to stay away from the city. The hotel equipment is a bit old. The shower faucet in the room is broken on the last day. I am too lazy to fix it.
Environment: rice fields, cicadas chirping, but no mosquitoes beside the paddy fields. Waking up early to bask in the warmth of the swimming pool with a hint of coolness in the morning, looking at the green rice fields, the mist-shrouded mountains in the distance, the clear blue sky and white clouds, I felt that there was a vivid memory on my life list.
Room: The air conditioning is sufficient and there is no noise. There is also a fragrance system, and the high roof space makes people relax. The equipment is well-equipped and very new. I fell asleep on the first night without much fuss as I was in an area where bed trouble was most common when I was on a business trip.
Service and breakfast: Very welcoming. There was a problem with the hot water on the first night. I called the front desk and sent someone to fix it immediately. There is a free shuttle to town. The breakfast is rich, especially the local millet noodles.
Overall review: :) I don’t want to give a good review, because I’m afraid you might raise the price next time if you know more.
Stayed here for 4 nights in low season. Breakfast was decent. Air conditioner in the room was amazing. Girlfriend lost her phone in the taxi on arrival and the hotel driver helped us get it back later. Was taken to a motor bike place by the hotel as well, as it’s a bit far from the main downtown core so I wanted a rental. Met a couple in the town who had a horror story about renting a bike in town and it got stolen in what seemed to be a set up, so it was a reliable place I was using. When we left the hotel I was asked to speak with the manager who presented us with a gift, a nice scarf and elephant embroidered bag. As we left the manager, receptionist and bag guy waved us off. A rare and unique experience indeed. Thank you.
A true museum of a hotel! It combines comfort with refinement. Big, light and airy bedrooms tastefully appointed, charming and helpful staff. Its location offers good views on the Nam Khan river and its annex on the opposite bank is equally charming. Owner Ivan Scholte produces some wonderful wines and tips for off-track excursions. It is close to temples, shops and other entertainment without compromising its quiet and peaceful atmosphere. My family and I spent an idyllic week there. Not to be missed: Laos Buffalo Dairy and the Living Land ricefield trip (where you get to go through all the stages of cultivating rice, down to eating it!)
Vientiane, Vangvieng, Luang Prabang, we stayed in Vientiane for 8 days. I am most satisfied with this hotel. The decoration and hardware of the new hotel are very good. It is opened by a Chinese and it is very convenient for consultation. The boss, Ah Hui, was very nice. He picked us up and dropped us off, and even sent us a car to take us back to the high-speed rail station. If you have anything you don’t know, just ask him. I will only comment if I am extremely dissatisfied or extremely satisfied. There is such a friendly Chinese hotel in Laos. It's far away from the city, not noisy, and the breakfast is also in Chinese taste. The photo was taken at the hotel, and the perspective is unparalleled. I will stay here again next time I come to Luang Prabang, and will also recommend it to relatives and friends.
