A wonderful home stay for family’s. Walking distance to city center and lake kandy also you can feed ducks and fish popcorn they gobble it up in seconds.Breakfast was wonderful my children loved it.The balcony was magical at sunset best stay in Sri Lanka I have had in a long time.

When I opened the room, there was a musty smell. Since it was a view room with a curtain wall on the exterior, the windows could not be opened. The air conditioner had to be turned on at full power for half an hour before the musty smell gradually dissipated.
The location is not far from the top of the mountain, far away from Kandy Lake, and the lake cannot be seen from the rooftop observation deck. The facilities are okay, the service attitude is okay, and the food tastes great.
Overall not recommended.

The atmosphere on the first floor is very good, the buffet breakfast and dinner are okay, but the steak is a bit old, and there are many kinds of tea ☕️, but the room is still a bit small! I just didn’t expect the room to have Chinese power sockets, it should be specially designed for people from different countries in advance

Stayed here recently for 2 nights absolutely loved it,small hotel near the top of a hill,with nice views large comfortable rooms with large balcony,we didn,t eat in the hotel but the food looked good,breakfast was ok,very nice staff and reasonably priced room.Only one restaurant walking distance a chinese/burger ,overpriced for sri lanka but decent food with amazing views....

We just loved our stay at Serene Kandy, a brilliant introduction to our fortnight in SL. The hotel is luxurious but good value for money, with a fantastic communal roof terrace including a breathtaking infinity pool with views on to the valley leading to Kandy city centre - beautiful whether first thing in the morning, to cool off in the heat of the day, or to linger in at dusk. The rooms were lovely - spacious, good air con, well equipped, comfortable beds and with small terraces giving on to pleasant green views. And we really appreciated the chef Karu and his team on site - best SL breakfast of our stay, truly a feast, but also a great evening meal brought by room service and even an improvised (and excellent) packed lunch for us when we were running late for an activity. Excellent location, walkable into town via Arthur's Seat viewpoint and the lovely shady Royal Palace Park - or a Rs 500 tuktuk ride in either direction. The hotel staff were so lovely and supportive, including the duty manager and a colleague running us down to the railway station in their own tuktuks on the morning of our departure as commercial tuktuks weren't to hand. Overall a truly wonderful place to stay.

We got scammed down at the market and when we told the Manager /Owner he was clearly upset that this had happened to us in Kandy. He helped us out by ringing the police etc. Also the restaurant man Neval also was lovely and friendly and even came to see if we were OK when he saw us on his way home in town! All staff are fantastic and a credit to the hotel. The hotel itself is just gorgeous.. Very well decorated. Our room was very luxurious. A massive bed looking out to the lake which was the most comfortable bed we have slept in whilst we have been here. The views from our huge verandah attached are spectacular also. We had a delicious breakfast also..fresh fruit.. Fresh juice.. Toast..omelette.. Cakes and jams and fresh tea. Gorgeous. If we are ever in Kandy again we will definitely be back! Thank you to all staff for helping us and making our stay so much more memorable.

GGuest UserWe stayed one night at Heaven Seven Kandy. It was truly comfortable, had a lovely sight from the hotel lobby and from the terrace. The staff is super-friendly and we had a very nice (simple, but tasty) breakfast. The hot water comes after a short time, but we spent a lovely evening there. The hotel is very close to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

The view is very good, the environment is OK, the building is very distinctive, including the decoration of the room, but the worst thing is that the hygiene is very worrying, the door is a bit old, the refrigerator is so dirty that you can't get it off, and there are stains under the toilet seat There were urine stains and hair on the bed. The bed was two beds pushed together and it was uncomfortable to sleep on. The quilt was a sheet and was too tight to pull out. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Fortunately, there was a blanket in the cabinet to cover it with. Regarding the food, it’s not good either.

GGuest UserThe small resort is somewhat hidden in the middle of the tea plantations near Nawalapitiya. It can be reached by taxi in 4 hours from Bandaranaike Airport. Room/Bungalow The spacious bungalows are furnished in a colonial style. We moved into a very clean bungalow. You have to be aware that the resort is in the middle of nature and that little visitors can get lost in the bungalow through small gaps (e.g. under doors) over the course of the days and nights. We didn't see any dangerous animals, so it didn't bother us. There is no daily room service. At night you can watch fireflies through the large window, and in the morning you can be woken up by monkeys or squirrels on the roof. We liked this as well as the magnificent view from the large panoramic window into the green valley. Food As vegetarians, we really appreciated the local cuisine of Sri Lanka. Activities Requested trips to Adams Peak and several waterfalls were organized and realized by tuk-tuk ;-). At afternoon tea we were introduced to the new luxury house tent prototype that is still under construction. The tea factory spontaneously gave us a private tour and sells fantastic tea. Lovers will get their money's worth. General manager, chef and their team were very hospitable and responded to our wishes. What does the addition “& Spa” stand for? There is a pool but it seems very neglected. We would come back at any time.

古古荡桥It is the most satisfied hotel in the whole itinerary. The hotel is located in the downtown area near Lake Kandy, and the Buddha Tooth Temple is near Lake Kandy. Although the rooms are not large, but the facilities are complete, clean and tidy, with air conditioning, the cheapest price and breakfast included Breakfast is a buffet, I will introduce it to friends next time.

VVonnyclareStaff were wonderful, so helpful and took time to help me plan a full day as I only had one day in Kandy. They also gave me suggestions for my trip after Kandy also. The gym was fantastic to have and the pool. Kettle and fridge in the rooms. Located very near to the city Centre of Kandy. Really worth the reasonable price! Really personal touch…much appreciated! Would totally recommend!
