"It was a little expensive, but the cleanliness of the room was the best I've stayed at recently. The receptionist was friendly and there was a refrigerator. It's a little inconvenient that there are no restaurants nearby because it's far from the station, but I'm glad there is a supermarket nearby."

"The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the room size is suitable for three guests. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant, with a welcoming ambiance throughout the property. The staff are friendly, professional, and highly attentive. The rooftop pool offers a wonderful setting with a great view, and the food is excellent—particularly the dinner served at the rooftop restaurant. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for money considering the quality of service and facilities."

"We loved this hotel to the point we would return to Kandy to stay here again! The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional, the hotel and rooms were all clean and well maintained and the food at both dinner and breakfast was delicous. Overall we loved out stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. *we also bought some jewelry from the shop in the hotel which was good too."

"The Trees, Kandy was our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The rooms are so comfortable and clean. We were welcomed by staff with tea and beautiful lotus flowers. The pool provides fantastic view of Kandy. It’s a shame that our stay coincided with the crowds for the sacred exposition of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha, otherwise we would have enjoyed our stay more. There were a few times staff did forget our orders at breakfast and at the bar, but other than than, thoroughly enjoyed the stay!"

"A lovely family as a owner, kindness and help spread. They can arrange lots of service, like tuktuk tour or taxi. It’s possible do an authentic kandyan cooking class. Peaceful place into nature, far from city caos, close 4minutes by tuktuk ride to center. Spacius and clean room. Strongely recommended."

"Great place. Excellent location. I visited in December 2025, not long after the cyclone, less tourists than normal. I was upgraded to a suite, and they included my meals. Such a cool historic hotel and town."
