The hotel is built using the building of the hall, which has a strong Nanyang style and a certain historical basis. It is like the flavor of the Republic of China. The furnishings are also very tasteful.
Satisfied with the cleanliness, love the antique feel and the family room design. Breakfast is nice although slow due to the ala cart and small kitchen.
Reception service is ok but their knowledge is limited to within the hotel only. They know nothing outside the hotel even though it's just around the hotel within walking distance.
Good and execulent with bathbut and highervel and non smoking. swimming pool opens from 7:00 . Christmas celebration. Double bed is very comfortable. Near food testaurant and shopping mall. reasonable price for family trip. happy joureny with that hotel.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Campbell House. Excellent location and reception staffs were welcoming and very helpful. They provided us with maps & recommendations after check in. Always asked us about our day and highlights. Thank you for a memorable experience!
The room is very clean although small for 2 to share. I would recommend the double room for one traveller or short/weekend travellers with less luggages.
I've had a good stay there for in total 6 days. Clean and comfort place, walking distance to the hospital i went to.
Unfortunately the cafe was closed during my stay. Hopefully it will be opened soon.
if you guys are looking for place that are really near to penang street art and padang kota, then Bishop Hotel is really the best to stay. it is so near to Georgetown main attraction as it is really walkable. staff is really friendly and check in process is really fast. required a deposit of rm100 and can be obtain back after check out. speaking of room, it’s not spacious enough, thin wall and no fridge. but it’s quite ok if just wanna hangout and chill. other than that, it was a really nice experience staying at this hotel. definitely would love to stay here again in the future.
the location of this hotel, its walkable to other area, easy access. got their own parking. facilities is okay, just maybe my luck i got broken hairdryer. for the service is tip top, we went out at the night but that night really crazy rain, the security approch us and offer umbrella for each of us. receiptions also give a very quick service. dont have to wait long for a room.
Travel with my mom to Penang first time. The hotel was chosen because it’s just a few steps away from Gurney Plaza. Free ice creams were served when we arrived and checked in hotel. The room at high floor is very spacious. However, the facilities are quite simple consider it’s a five star hotel. The washroom is not user friendly especially for oldies. First day after showering, we found bath towels got stains. We informed hotel service staff, they came to changed them immediately with apologies. The room has sea view, the breakfasts are nice and tasty. It’s a pleasant stay overall, will consider to visit again next time!
It’s my second stay at Spices, a restored heritage shophouse hotel with nine rooms. With complimentary coffee and tea as well as a library, the two lounge areas are a peaceful place to relax and unwind after a day of gallivanting, exploring, and eating your way through Georgetown’s bustling markets. It’s in an ideal central location while also being down a quiet street, so there’s not much noise, even if your room is street side. There is a mosque nearby though, so light sleepers will have an early wake up. Thank you to the friendly staff for accommodating me again.
The attitude of the store clerk was very good, but the cockroach in the room was as big as a northern mouse. It was the biggest cockroach I have ever seen. It scared me so much that I could only turn on the light to sleep in the middle of the night.

Outstanding
GGuest UserExcellent quiet location with a private waterfront. The outdoor infinity swimming pool is partially shaded and overlooks the strait of Malacca. The hotel has a classy heritage vibe with distinguished visitors such as Charle Chaplain and King Charles. The breakfast buffet is the best in town with made to order noodle soup and stir fried noodles. There is also a hot food station, omelette station, roti station, fresh fruits and bread
Ttravel_addictIt was a fantastic stay for my family. Very spacious and 10 - 15 mins drive to George Town main attractions. There is a playground opposite to the hotel. Only 8 mins walk to coco Island food market which is very clean.

IIpohiteThe front liners were friendly and helpful. The stalls selling popular food like char kuey teow are just a few steps away (New Lane). A popular local biscuit outlet is just opposite the hotel for those who want to buy back. Within walking distance, are the iconic Komtar and Gamma. Behind the hotel, one will find the local market. Easy to get Grab services too to places like Kek Lok Si temple.
YyuyudaLocated in the heart of George Town, the hotel offers a blend of modern luxury and local charm, making it a great base for exploring Penang.
Check-in and Service: The check-in process was quick. We able to early check in because the room was ready.
Rooms: The highlight for me was the view from my room—overlooking the bustling city. The rooms were quiet, ensuring a good night’s rest.
Facilities: The hotel features a beautiful outdoor pool with great views, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. I also had the chance to visit the fitness center, which was well-equipped. The on-site restaurant offered a variety of both local and international dishes, and I found the breakfast buffet to be particularly impressive.
Location: The hotel is located in a prime area, just a short walk from Penang’s vibrant street art scene, and it’s easy to explore nearby cafes, shops, and cultural sites. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveler to Penang, the location is ideal. Public transport also easy to access since it was near to Komtar
Overall: St. Giles Wembley Penang offers fantastic value for money with its top-notch service, modern facilities, and central location. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this hotel is a solid choice for your stay in Penang.
Vv|ncheck in was smooth, rooms were big and comfortable. 11th floor 2 bedrooms really can hear lift moving. coffee machine wasnt maintained properly, lots of stains. alot of complimentary snacks, tea and coffee bags.
GGuest UserStaying at Ozo hotel was amazing! The rooms are big and spacious with a nice city view of Penang. The bathrooms are squeaky clean. The sound proofing is great as I can't hear other rooms at all and lastly the service provided by staff was great. This will be my go to pick of a hotel if I visited Penang again!
MMOHAMMAD AMIRUL SHAFIQ BIN MOHD AZNANThe room and hotel itself meet my expectations as affordable accommodation. Spacious room, with bathtub in the bathroom, tv is functional, iron and iron board are provided as well. Great stay.
IIsabelleThe hotel location is right on the hot spot of Georgetown. But it goes with noise at night until 2am. So if you plan to be partying at night it's ideal and walking distance to Love Lane and all Georgetown touristic areas.
But if you wish to sleep and relax after midnight definitely not the right hotel for you.
The room was OK in terms of size but a lot of mosquitoes coming from the bathroom drain. I've killed at least 50 of them thanks to a mosquito raquet 🤣 The tip is to close the bathroom curtains so they don't get in the bedroom.
Humidity in the room had the paint peeling off.
For the price I don't think the room quality was enough. Specially for the humidity and mosquitoes combination.
The breakfast menu was not available but you can easily go down the street and eat at ease or order with the application grab. No bar available in the hotel.
The shared areas are clean. Loved that you have to take off your shoes at the entrance.
There are stairs to get into the hotel but they help you with your luggage. The first time you arrive you need to ring the bell for them to come open for you. Small door not easy to spot at first. I suggest to the hotel to stick the name directly on the door at eye level and big to avoid confusion. I've uploaded a picture of the door for you to not get lost.
After you check in they will give you the door code so easy for you to get by.
Staff has been helpful when asked but not interacting or giving you suggestion or asking you how things are going.
I've rated cleanness average because there was a lot of hair in the bathroom when I arrived. Had to literally take it off during 5 minutes. Thick long hair... Not sure how they didn't spot it.
Apart of that they were cleaning all right the rest of the stay.
Internet was not easy to get when in the room but in common areas or close to the door of the room works better. Don't save on a sim card and buy at the airport for having internet at all times on your phone. Will help you with maps and outside anyway.
The taxi from the airport was very convenient only 30 minutes and I ordered with grab came within 5 minutes.
Hope this information helps 🌹
GGuest UserThe hotel is quite old and the maintenance has not been kept up to maintain service level, e.g. aircon that is not cold, temperature cannot be adjusted because the knob is missing, closet doors that cannot be closed, power plug that is unsecured, dirty kettle.
