We had just spent two nights at the Okaukuejo camp in Etosha and were extremely disappointed in it on all levels. But walking into Etosha Village immediately right outside the park was absolutely what we were hoping and looking for. We would tell anyone visiting the park to not stay in the govt ran ones but outside at Etosha Village. You can still enter at the same time as people staying in the park. At Etosha Village you get that personal feel and touch. The rooms were breathtaking and so comfortable. The food was absolutely incredible and we ate so much! We even did a sundowner with them which the view point was gorgeous and they put out quite the spread for just the two of us. At camp be prepared to see Kudus! There is a waterhole on site in front of the rooms and there are so many male and female kudu walking around- quite the experience! We loved Etosha Village and wish we had stayed here the entire time we were in Etosha. Would strongly recommend to anyone visiting!
We stayed at Etosha Safar Camp for 2 nights. They are currently refurbishing their facilities, therefore there areas that are not open to the guests. In spite of operating amid renovations, the staff is very professional and friendly. When we found it too cold to have breakfast outside one morning, the staff quickly prepared a table for us inside. The food (buffet for breakfast and dinner) is excellent and good value for money with the local band adding Nam flavour to the dining experience. The House Wine is of excellent quality, as we have experienced in all of the Gondwana Lodges. The decor in the main bulding is exceptional and so interesting. Depicting a lot of memoribilia from the time just before and after Independence we marvelled at the ingenuity of the displays. The bungalows are basic, but very clean. It would be great if a rail for hanging clothes could be added to a wall. There is not enough space to unpack for guests staying more than one night. The shower is nice and hot though. The whole camp has a very relaxed atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hearing lions roar both nights made it even more special. The swimmingpool is clean and well maintained, but it was too cold for us to jump in. I would like to know why there are so many cats around. Gondwana is a very environmentally conscious Group and cats are so destructive to the local fauna. If it is because they want to control snake numbers, then they should invest in some of their staff attending a snake handling course. Namiba has very good programs.

We stopped by for a quick bite and to refuel during our road trip, and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the burger was—delicious, fresh, and well-prepared! While waiting for our food, we explored their souvenir shop located on the second floor. The shop had a nice variety of items, and we were happy to find that the prices were quite reasonable compared to other places we’ve visited. Overall, it was a convenient stop with great food and a chance to pick up a few gifts along the way. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through!
Loved the vibe of Etosha Safari Camp and the staff were friendly and always helpful. The Camp2Go accommodation was exactly what we needed travelling with a busy toddler. I would suggest a playground area for children, however, as there was not much at the restaurant area to keep our kids occupied in terms of play - just something to consider. There were also no baby changing facilities in the ablutions which is another thing to consider for parents travelling with babies/toddlers.
