They did a wonderful job with this place. We love the story of this kind of buildings. You still can see some of the old pillars of the old factory, we loved it how they preserved this. The room was very nice, we had a good night sleep. The breakfast was also good and more then enough. If we want to go to this area again we will choose De Kastanjefabriek for sure.

The junior suite was spacious and very confortable. Our grandson had his own quarter and toilet. Having a bath and douche combination was really nice. The room was a bit warm but we had a fan. It would be good to have a mosquito / insect window in the main room not only the living room. The swimming pool was just what we needed, enjoyable, nice temperature. The hotel had a massage and beauty place. I got the best neck, shoulder and back massage. I also had a wonderful face massage, nails treatment and eyebrow treatment. All four highly recommended ! Breakfast and coffee were good and no waiting in line. Planning to come back soon ago.

The hotel is fine, it can only be cleaner. Facilities are good but it is qualitatively less good than I am used to 4-star hotels. It is a pity that there is no refrigerator in the room. Beddengoes are not so fine, feels not quite fresh.

BREAKFAST I stayed here while cycling on the Ronde Van Nederland. I stayed in a mixture of hotels and this was by far the best on my 8 day cycle challenge. However, I wish to specifically highlight the Breakfast and the Breakfast chef. I requested an early breakfast and the buffet range and quality was outstanding. Breakfast chef was so very friendly and helpful. My only other observation is that I found it very strange that the door to the guest rooms was locked - yes locked until 7am

Booked two weeks before the stay via internet. Upon arrival it turned out that ALL facilities (dining room, bar, terrace) were closed to us due to a reservation by a group. Upon checking in I told the employee that I was unpleasantly surprised by this. ”If I had known that, I certainly would not have made a reservation”. The young man indicated that he understood that, he would have ”the boss” come. The lady who then came gave no apology or even understanding for our disappointment. I repeated that if we had known this, we certainly would not have made a reservation. ”Then you should have called us before you made a reservation... you didn't, so... I can't do anything about that.” I indicated that in such a situation I would have expected from a customer-oriented company that not I, but THEY would call, so that I could decide whether or not to cancel the reservation... The lady indicated that she found that a ridiculous demand... (So we strongly differ in opinion about customer focus) The room also had two unpleasant surprises: A number of very large dirty stains in the carpet A completely paintless balcony (many years of overdue maintenance). There is very little left of the quality of Stad Munster. For us this was a very negative experience.

For the second time here a three-day wild arrangement. Wonderfully located hotel on a forest edge. We booked another garden room, located on the quiet backside with views of her forest. Pick-fine, clean room with a good bed, coffee machine and water cooker, seating and a fine bathroom with a separate bath and (regen) shower. Good breakfast, but we miss the baked bacon. The delicious self-cutting bread provides compensation. The 4-gangen wild dinner is a nice surprise, we have enjoyed. Unfortunately, on the 2nd day, it was found that a big bridge club arrived. Along tables for dinner for the whole group. No problem at all, but during our dinner the whole group of 'and mass' left the restaurant, then the staff with a lot of noise went to move all the tables and chairs, on the tables wearing green clothes to create the contest tables. The whole group returned to the restaurant, while we were enjoying our dinner with the other three couples of guests, which was a good event for our stay. If you're on the 24.00 hour noise in the gang and hitting doors when the whole group was ready. Unfortunately! But despite all we're going back to the best, but maybe do first check?
