Find the Best Rotterdam Hotels

If you're looking for a place with great beds and friendly staff to get your head down, then I can't rate the Emma Hotel highly enough! After checking in and taking the lift, (yes I said lift, something which isn't easy to find with reasonably priced accommodation in Rotterdam), up to our floor, we made our way to the 'Superior room'. Upon first entering the room we were very pleased with size of it. There was a small entry hall with a shelf for your bag and hat etc and hooks for your coats. To the right was the bathroom and ahead the main room equipped with the bed, TV, chair, desk, coffee machine and mini fridge. The large, almost full-length windows give the room an even more spacious feel with lots of light and a nice view over the street of this great central location, which was great for people watching or looking at some of the crazy driving out there!! The bed looked clean and comfy and the requested extra 2 pillows had been added :) The bathroom was one of the highlights of this accommodation, it was large with sufficient towels and toilet paper and a large radiator which kept the room warm and your towels toasty for drying off after enjoying some relaxation in the amazing bath!!. Though not long, it was deep and great for some recharge time, with a glass of wine, after walking around exploring Rotterdam through the day. The shower was small but sufficient, I would say the water was rather cool from the shower and couldn't be put up any higher. A bit of a shame, but certainly not a deal breaker if I was to visit Rotterdam again. After a long day and a great bath the bed was next to try and I will say I slept like a baby. The bed was very comfy. I have back issues and some beds aggravate it terribly, but I had absolutely no problems in the morning after sleeping here. The pillows may be a bit too thick for me, but this is a subjective view and I think many places have these overly fat pillows. The staff were always very friendly and there were never any issues getting in or out of the hotel, even outside normal hours. Your door keycard works until the evening, when for security you need to ring the bell for the receptionist to let you in. You can also use the Emma website. By entering your booking within the website, you can open the front door to the hotel and also your room door. I found this a very very handy addition. If all this wasn't enough to convince you to stay with the Emma Hotel. The coffee in the foyer will. It's free and honestly some of the best coffee I had while in Rotterdam. There is also tea and biscuits on offer. I made good use of this facility and was grateful for its presence. Overall, I rate the Emma Hotel 5/5. Hotel facilities are quite old Good location, very close to the market and the cube house and the old pier But I won't choose the same one next time

The hotel was easy to get to, although note that there is a lot of road construction works going on in the area and road closures made me have to circle the area a few times to try to find an entrance to the car park The check in process was quick & efficient and my room was on the first floor. You have to use your key card in the elevator as well as the door to the corridor, there seems to be a technique to it as I had to put the card into the reader & out again a few times before it worked The hotel had good Wi-Fi that worked well throughout, although if I remember right, I think it restricted me to only 2 devices The room had 2 single beds with a beside table in between. I took the bed beside the window as there was more room at that side, the other bed only had a narrow ***** at the door. The room had a lots of storage, coffee facilities, lounge chair and foot rest as well as a table area & chair but the table was quite narrow & it definitely didn’t work for working on a laptop. It was quite warm when I was there but there is AC/heating & the window fully opens, but you are close to a main motorway so there is traffic noise. I did sleep really well though as the bed was comfy The bathroom had a good size basin with good space beside for all your toiletries. The shower was more like a wet room beside the sink with a dividing wall. It worked OK & the shower pressure & temperature was good The hairdryer was small & attached to the wall of the bathroom by the cord. The cord wasn’t long and I had to stand close to the wall to move it around my head, plus could only stand sideways to the mirror. It worked fine, but the annoying thing is you have to hold the button in for it to work which started to get sore and I have shoulder length hair The hotel has a gym on the first floor, you have to walk along the side of the restaurant to reach it. It consisted of 4 machines, cross trainer, stationary bike, treadmill & rowing machine, which all were pretty good, but there isn’t any more room in the room to do any other exercises. There were no towels when I arrived but someone got some for me, there was limited sanitation to wipe down equipment and there was no water provision I didn’t have breakfast in the restaurant but I did have dinner there. The dinner menu has a good selection and you get bread to nibble on while you wait. I had a main salad one night, which was nice, but be careful, it was huge with 2 chicken breasts. I also had the the salmon with veg & potatoes, again nice, the potatoes had a creamy sauce on them which I couldn’t identify but was tasty. The hotel has a small bar as well Overall this was a comfortable hotel with good facilities

Arrangement met in room dining van mevrouw Meijer. Goed verzorgd en fijn uitje tijdens de coronatijd. Hip en trendy kamer, koffie en theezet faciliteiten, platenspeler en superdouche. Mooi uitzicht ook. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Service mag van ons iets persoonlijker.

We booked 2 nights at this hotel coming from Germany. It had a super convenient location (only 2 tram stops from central station) upon checking in we paid €26 plus €20 key deposit to park the car for 2 days, the car park was about a 4 minute walk from the hotel. Rooms: The room was large and clean, missing cups for the coffee machine and also didn’t have a safe as advertised so I had to carry the valuables around all weekend, also you were not able to lock the hotel door from the inside. The bathroom was large and modern and had an extractor fan that didn’t work. The cleanliness was top marks from me. Noise: I appreciate it was the weekend so some noise is inevitable, but the noise went on until 3am because every time someone entered the building none of the doors had a quiet close on them, they just slammed shut. We were situated on the ground floor and you could clearly hear the people above moving around and using the toilet (possibly due to the fact that all bedroom floors are Lino and not carpeted. Breakfast: I only have positive things to say in regard to the breakfast as there was a good variety of fresh foods for everyone. Checking out: Upon checkout we got the car and drove back to load the bags. When giving the car park key they said we hadn’t paid any deposit (see above) and asked if we had a white slip! We didn’t as nobody gave us one (Make sure you get a white slip) so we had to stand and keep our strength to get the deposit back. Overall: Not my style of hotel, the online pictures show it in a much better light. Super convenient location. Better hotels near the harbour for the same price. I wouldn’t return but I will say it was an experience.

Great location, really close to the metro station and tram station. You can access Rotterdam and Den Haag easily. Supermarket is nearby too and the hotel breakfast is superb.

Booked this in a rush without checking TA - big mistake. On checking in the staff (who were the only positive) handed me some ear plugs !. At this point I considered walking to another hotel (should have done). You will not get any sleep here - with earplugs in the street noise was almost bearable (soft thudding of the nearby club) however the paper thin walls internally meant you could loudly hear other residents - I’m a heavy sleeper and was woken up at 4:45 (after finally getting to sleep at 1) - now this didn’t seem to be loud partygoers, just people talking relatively loudly managed to wake me up with earplugs in !!. WiFi/tv etc all fine, no air con so hot, but the other thing was I read these reviews before I went to bed on bedbugs. To be clear I didn’t see any - but to mitigate I slept above the covers with a long sleeve T-shirt. I do have a bite on my ankle but that may be a mozzie / happened elsewhere. This place is only fit for people on a big night out - get smashed, pass out on the bed, leave as it is in a great location. Anyone else heed the above - harder to enjoy a great city with no sleep.

The room was very nice, vibrant colors, bed was awesome, all very clean. But the big mistake they made with the renovation were the doors. They slam with a very big bang, so when anyone else on the floor enters the room, it all shakes. And then they are not isolated, you can understand discussions happening outside the room. And then, for the breakfast, dinner, lunch: only christmas music. But of the worst kind. There is no place in the region to escape this in the morning, so you have to deal with the christmas music. And for 17 euro's, it's not even worth actually what you get after your ears are in pain with ”jolly happy christmas” three times during breakfast.

The environment is clean, the decoration is fashionable and stylish, and the lobby environment is comfortable. The room is minimalist and clean. The bed is comfortable and spacious. You can use an iPad to control the lights, watch TV, and set an alarm clock. It has a sense of technology. The bathroom has a shower and the shower is very comfortable. The hotel staff are all kind, kind, polite, considerate, smiling and attentive.
