"Hotel very well located for people wishing to go to the Barcelos market (just cross the street)
College to the best restaurant in the city
Correct room with bathroom and WC included
Only bemols
Very tired earliers that would deserve to be changed and unrealistic parking, too narrow with a major risk of hanging up his car"

"For : air conditioning worked very well, varied breakfast but no excess
In contrast: no details in the room (water), no TV, private parking very far away"
"Casa de Santa Comba is absolutely lush. The staff are very relaxed and flexible, having to arrive late was no problem, and they were very accommodating of us at breakfast as were vegetarian and there aren’t many vegetarians in Portugal! They were also very accommodating when we requested a fridge for our wine. The building and surrounding estate is beautiful, with lots of animals around – geese, horses, dogs, swallows, fish in the ponds – and lots of lemon trees bursting with fruit and beautiful flower bushes everywhere. A dreamy place, would love to stay here again. Will miss the bright morning song of the canary in their office which you can hear from the breakfast room!"

"The service was five star from the initial greeting through to check out. Accommodation was modern with glass doors and quality fittings plus a coffee machine which was a nice touch. Spa was very good although you need a shower cap for the pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was excellent and they even provided gluten-free pastries which was a lovely touch. Finally, the vineyard and surrounding areas are stunning."

"One night stay – enough for a small wet adventure
We stayed one night in Villa Galé de Ponte de Lima (05-06/07) and despite the romantic name and the mouthful landscape, the experience has been both curiosous and wet. The hotel is in a farm, which is great... since it doesn't rain. When it rains, prepare for a kind of tropical rally between buildings without a rainfall.
The room was not ready at the arrival (about 17:00), a classic, and fortunately they offered us a drink in the bar while we were waiting, which was well known and avoided a shock in the lobby.
The rooms are a real sauna tour. I think they are trying to save in light but compensate with human heat... much... a pity of cleaning officials, who probably do cardio just push the car in there.
Positive points: the dinner was good, the indoor pool also enjoyed. Now, the outdoor pool... well, prepare for a kind of “sparkling battle”. There is little for the number of guests and for those who think of extending a towel on the grass... surprise!
The breakfast was a return to normality: good, varied and unsurprised, which is half a way to start the day without irony.
In short, it is not bad, but it is from the experiences that depend on the time. With sun, maybe it would come back. With rain? They only offer the rainguard and rubber boots at the entrance."
