We arrived on Saturday and were presented with a gorgeous typical local dinner . The “cabrito em forno de lenha” was out of this world !! … even some Portuguese Guests with whom we joined the table, commented that they never ate one so good . The next morning, after breakfast, the owners took us to a nearby waterfall called Cabreia, another absolute highlight of our unforgettable weekend . Maria Manuel & Luis, we will come back soon … FOR SURE !

The staff's attention is quite satisfactory, the hotel is new and the facilities are well-cared and clean, but the images of the SPA are too generous to the reality. The fact that the SPA is in a part building with open air access by a rampa or stairs about 50 metres from the main building makes it unpleasant to use it in rain or cold weather days. A pool that has been locked up for a hotel of this size, deserves a review of the offer. With the hotel in full lotion, the use of the spa facilities is even a disappointment. Breakfast is of good quality and varied in the offer of viver.

The hotel is very well located, large, clean, minibar, bathroom with bathroom, TV Lcd and hot, all perfect. I emphasise that breakfast is not worth a 4-star hotel, far from it. It wasn't a simple coffee machine to take a capuccino or hot chocolate, etc. The coffee was a coffee maker and the express coffee we had to ask the works to take it off. The waffles were the weakest that exists, the smallest that you buy in the supermarket.

We booked this hotel for one night as a treat for a bit of R&R after our city break in Porto. We arrived a little early, about 2.30 and the room wasn't ready yet. After checking in, we went for a little walk round the grounds and by the time we returned the room was ready. We had booked the private pool suite, as we were celebrating a birthday, and it did not disappoint! It is definitely one of the most luxurious, high tech rooms we have stayed in. Everything was spotlessly clean, the room was nice and spacious, it had all sorts of high end features(like ireless phone charging pads and a google speaker) and all the usual features were finished to a high standard. The terrace was lovely and although people could see us (depending on the angle) it still felt very private. The pool was lovely, it was quite warm (it was July) but still refreshing enough, especially when sitting in the shade. It was lovely to sit in the pool and take in the view of the beautiful trees. It was so still and peaceful, the only sound was the odd bird or the ringing of a nearby church bell. We went for dinner in the hotel restaurant. The service was great, the menu was a little limited but the food was tasty. I can't eat gluten and they had a good understanding of this. In the morning at breakfast there was gluten free bread, cake and biscuits. It would have been good if they were covered, to avoid cross contamination, as they were next to the normal toaster but it was still good to be catered for. After we checked out of our room we laid by the main pool. There are lots of loungers and it was nice to use the pool, sauna and hot tub. Also, we were able to shower and change in the spa which was handy. Overall a great stay and we would definitely return.

We found this hotel spontanously on our roadtrip to Porto. It was a great decision to stay here! The region is beautiful and the house is stunning!! Marta and Iker are extremely nice and warm people. They gave us great tips for restaurants and activities. The garden is a dream and the house is beautifully renovated. The breakfast was great made wirh love and local ingredients. It is also possible to book a 3 course dinner since Iker is a great chef. Unfortunately, we were too late for this but we recommend booking this unforgettable experience. We hope to come back some day!
