"The hotel's location is a definite highlight, absolutely stunning. However, it's crucial to arrange transportation with the hotel in advance, otherwise, an Uber ride will cost you an arm and a leg. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the signature Banyan Tree essential oils felt like an amazing bonus in a desert hotel. Overall service was excellent, with friendly staff always ready to assist. Of course, there was one disappointment: the mountain pool was closed due to a safety issue with falling rocks."
"I was a bit worried about staying at the hotel with no electricity, taking into account dark rooms and lack of heater, but my experience went above and beyond any expectations. It is perfectly located in one part of the old town, right in the middle of everything. The rooms were comfortable, picture perfect and warm (I arranged for a heater). Staff was kind, attentive and very helpful. Food at the restaurant was delicious. I couldn't have wished for a better accommodation."
"I'd give the hotel I stayed at, alula, a 3 overall. The location was okay, with convenient dining and shopping nearby, and the room was reasonably clean.
However, the service was lacking. Perhaps due to the large number of guests, the check-in process took almost half an hour, and even the wait for a bottle of water from the room service was quite long. The most inconvenient thing was that few staff members spoke Chinese, so asking for directions required gestures and translation software, which was quite a hassle.
It would have been much better if the hotel had fewer people and if there was Chinese service."
"I think I'll always remember this evening,
little silver capsule-like campervans,
landed in the rolling valleys of El Ola,
they were miniature, adorable, small yet perfectly formed!
In the huge tents near the campsite,
people played all sorts of games. As sunset approached,
the afterglow lingered in the sky,
we sat amidst the vast desert and the heavens,
and the time seemed to pass by in a way that didn't matter.
After it was completely dark,
the long-awaited Rock Movie time arrived.
Following the twinkling lights,
strangers gathered together to watch a movie projected onto the rocks,
everything was simply too beautiful…
And above, a sky full of stars accompanied me on my walk home."
"Am so glad I choose Cloud 7 Residence. I am a solo traveler to AlUla and I don't drive. Prior to my trip, i notice that quite a number of hotels/B&Bs do not offer meals and there are no restaurants nearby. Cloud & Residence has its own restaurant and therefore, it saves the trouble of looking for food. All staff there are very friendly and super helpful. Wifi works well. Hope I can visit again."
"My husband and I spent an unforgettable night at the Ashar Tented Resort—and I want to share our impressions.
The luxury tent creates a unique atmosphere: it's like being in a luxury campsite, but with all the amenities of a five-star hotel.
The rooms are located in the canyon, offering breathtaking mountain views. Our morning began with a picturesque landscape outside the window; it was mesmerizing.
The service is top-notch. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly.
The property features an outdoor pool with a stunning view.
Delicious breakfast at the Harrat restaurant; be sure to choose a seat on the terrace.
Golf carts are available for transportation around the resort, arriving within 5 minutes.
The Ashar Tented Resort is the perfect place for those seeking a luxurious getaway in the countryside with stunning views and first-class service. I can confidently recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to AlUla."
"If you’re looking for the perfect getaway, Shaden Resort is a top choice. Nestled in an ideal location, it’s not only incredibly clean but also conveniently close to all the major attractions. The combination of these factors makes it an excellent choice for both relaxation and exploration.
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the meticulous attention to cleanliness and detail. The rooms were immaculate, and the resort’s overall ambiance was both welcoming and sophisticated. The proximity to local attractions was a game-changer, allowing me to effortlessly explore the area without the hassle of long commutes.
In summary, Shaden Resort offers the trifecta of location, cleanliness, and convenience, making it a perfect base for any traveler. Highly recommended!"
