Is not a 4 stars Hotel. The rules of hoteleries is very clear in how and what to demand according to hotel stars . Build a spa and give a breakfast is just ” normal duties ” now days. Hotel clarion unfortunately went down in class dramatically, spoiled of the high tourist the quality of the hotel went down. Rooms the beds are very uncomfortable,once you inform te desk no action, but just this is our bad ,we have not heard this complaint before , wrong. You can't charge the ipad without the key, don't come is for the environmental, because is no true , but if I go for a walk a want charge my ipad I should be able without sticking other card Inside. The bar ,changing from sofas to bar chair and table is very wrong, this bar is built for relax is not a pub . Voucher , this is a general complaint to all the Clarion , is not up to you or my health if with my Voucher I want pay a beer ,otherwise give me a credit on the price or accumulate the money and I can use when I want . Final comment. Sorry you went from 4 star to a 3 over rated star hotel

First of all I would like to point out that I didn’t in fact stay here, but popped in for a coffee to warm myself after a long walk to Högklint and back. They have a small bar/café /restaurant where they serve lunch. I ordered a Cappuccino, and received it beautifully served on a small wood plank together with a couple of pieces of chocolate. It tasted lovely, and service was quick, efficient and friendly. To be recommended!

Hotel 🏨 is worth full marks. From check-in to entering the house, I was sighed by the scenery. The location of the hotel can be said to be excellent. It is not far from the beach to get off the boat. There is no need to carry luggage and climb the slope. The tall brother at the front desk is super nice. Take the initiative to help take the luggage to help the guests solve the problems. Because I am Ma Daha. The conversion headband was turned into Hong Kong, resulting in no charge. The day before, the hand turned off the machine for one night. To be honest, I was really panicked. The working lady sent it to the room at breakfast. Finally, when I checked out, I suggested buying a plug and swiping the card. The brother said directly.
Give it to me, may I ask if such a staff is out of print. The hotel has a bicycle. The little brother has debugging it for free for two days. The hotel view has been shown above. I look forward to returning to Visby in the future. I must stay at this hotel again. I hope that all the staff will be realized. Kang Xingfu thank you for your sincere service

We actually stayed in this hotel in June 22 not July, but are very late writing our review. We stayed for midsummer weekend in one of the apartment suites. I must say that the first thing we thought when we stepped in the room was, ”I wonder if the hotel have made a mistake”. Our apartment honestly looked like it should have been 3 times what we paid for it. It's a historic building and the rooms are tastefully authentic. In short, they're just gorgeous!! My husband and I travel a lot and agree it's one of the coolest we've ever stayed! The staff we're great, happy and friendly. Always on hand to answer any need. Breakfast was in the main building. It had a lovely selection every day. In fact we arrived late for breakfast one morning but they were more than happy accommodate us.

Very worth experiencing the cabin, although mini but everything is equipped, there is a small yard! If a family of four stays, the price is too high! Unfortunately, I booked for one night, if I come next time, I must book a few more days in advance! Before leaving, I met the staff who came to clean, very enthusiastic, and helped me find the next hotel! A great experience! My son also likes it! It should be noted that bedding (sheets, quilt covers, pillowcases) bath towels and toiletries should also be provided by themselves or asked them to pay for rent. This is also the norm in most homestays or apartments in Northern Europe!

GGuest UserWonderful hotel, perfect location just a few minute's walk from Stora Torget. Clean, cozy rooms, fantastic breakfast, pleasant staff, very reasonably priced. Plenty of street parking available when we were there (beginning of May). (*) There is, however something we'd like to point out. In order to conserve water, the hotel encourages its guests to ”say no to room cleaning”, to keep washing towels and bed linens to a minimum. Great in theory, especially if you are only there a few nights. We had a longer stay, and would have appreciated our room being tidied up a bit (after all, we're paying the service). Since no staff came in the room, towards the end of our stay, we had to hunt down toilet paper and shower gel, and our trash can was overflowing. Luckily we were able to get hold of the receptionist before she left for the day to get a new TP roll. Most hotels clean rooms daily, and change towels when guests request that. The universal ”throw towels on the bathroom floor if you want new ones” would have worked well at Hotell Slottsbacken. We were left with the feeling that while we were trying to be environmentally conscious, we were giving the cleaning crew a free pass. That said, we would absolutely stay at Hotell Slottsbacken again if we ever return to Gotland.

An example of the helpfulness, we arrived around 6 AM and I asked about when we could expect to check in to the room in order to plan our day. The unexpected answer was we will clean your room first as soon as the cleaning staff arrives, so around 9:30 we could check in. The customer in center when solving problems instead of hiding behind policies, amazing attitude!

GGuest UserIs not a 4 stars Hotel. The rules of hoteleries is very clear in how and what to demand according to hotel stars . Build a spa and give a breakfast is just ” normal duties ” now days. Hotel clarion unfortunately went down in class dramatically, spoiled of the high tourist the quality of the hotel went down. Rooms the beds are very uncomfortable,once you inform te desk no action, but just this is our bad ,we have not heard this complaint before , wrong. You can't charge the ipad without the key, don't come is for the environmental, because is no true , but if I go for a walk a want charge my ipad I should be able without sticking other card Inside. The bar ,changing from sofas to bar chair and table is very wrong, this bar is built for relax is not a pub . Voucher , this is a general complaint to all the Clarion , is not up to you or my health if with my Voucher I want pay a beer ,otherwise give me a credit on the price or accumulate the money and I can use when I want . Final comment. Sorry you went from 4 star to a 3 over rated star hotel

Or first room was very small and in the attic; the balcony was straight over the exhaust from the kitchen so we could neither use the balcony or leave the balcony door open. The view was the short side of the next house a few meters way. The mattresses was very poor. After complaining we got a better room for one night and was promise ”our best double room” for the rest of our stay. This turned out also to be in the attic and so small that we hardly could walk at the side of the bad. The bathroom was the smallest I have seen and wit a defect shower drapery. I have never seen such a bed hotel room And for this, they wanted €300 per night..... We checked out after only two nights from the five booked, which we never have done before. The breakfast buffet was not replenished. Missing was, among other things: bacon, egg cake, juice, juice glasses, butter, marmalade. From the bread it was only two end-pieces left. The breakfast room was crowded, dark and dirty.

SSilje HThis is our second stay at Scandic Visby. Last time was perfect. Nice and big room with balcony and view. This time we got a smaller room (same room category), with smaller balcony and no view, because of a big tree in front of it. The room was okay, but it was not properly cleaned. The windows were really dirty. The bed was super comfortable. However, the ventilation was bad, we had to sleep with balcony door open, and the street is extremely noisy all night. Sometimes there was also an intense and awful sewage smell all over the hotel, both outside and inside. The room didn’t get cleaned during our stay, which was okay, but when we asked for toilet paper refill, the cleaning lady seemed almost bothered. Some of the staff were friendly and smiling, while others were the opposite. We would still choose Scandic Visby over again, because of its location, the excellent breakfast and the nice pool.
