The reception building is above the ground, the guest rooms are below the ground, and the sea view room is developed on the cliff.
There are airport buses that run every 2 hours. But it's not free. One bus costs 20,000 West African CFA francs, and the other 35,000. We leave at 5 o'clock and drive to the international airport for one hour. I don't know how much it costs to get to the airport.
Turn right out of the gate 100 meters and there is a shopping center with a market operation inside, and there are boxed lunches and grilled chicken for sale.

Nice hotel and good breakfast. The price is very high in Dakar. It is also very close to the Dakar wholesale market, and it is very good to live here for business travel.

The hotel is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and it is very good for vacation and leisure. You can see the sun rising on the Atlantic Ocean... There are a lot of eagles here. Whether hovering, swooping or perching, eagles will make you remember them with a special call. The service is very good, the breakfast provided by the hotel is very good, the pool is also very good, the service is great
Ibis is much better than the local hotel at the same price, sharing a small courtyard and a garden with Novotel. Can choose the sea view room, very quiet, recommended.

NNTDialloExcellent stay at this brand new establishment!
. The rooms were wonderful and spacious offering a Cozy bed was also a huge plus!!
. The staff was highly efficient, accommodating and true examples of exceptional service.
. The food was ok. We didn't experience the breakfast buffet since there were very few guest, so this was totally understandable.
They didn't miss ANYTHING on this one and spared not one amenity. From energy efficiency, luxury accommodations and beautiful decor. I recommend Sama for your visit to Almadies Dakar.
ZZoltansWell located, quite central and near to Goree Island ferry. Breakfast is quite limited, just croissant/French bread with butter/jam and juice/tea/coffee, although there are usually some more options for dinner. Relatively helpful staff. Some rooms can be noisy, like 111 where there seems to be a staff changing room beside it, which often turns into almost a party from 7:30-8:00 am with the chatting/music from phones ...
RReneReneThis is the second time staying at this hotel , it’s a good clean place to stay with a certain charm . I think it’s run by a French family. Convenient location and a nice restaurant on the roof for dinners, I highly recommend this place
GGuest UserBooked a room for two people for 5 nights.
Room looked neat: clean, AC, TV and safe worked fine
The left window could be closed but not locked
Bathroom:
- However, there was a lot of mold in the joints of the tiles in the shower room
- the sink was virtually clogged
- There was a tear in the shower 'curtain' that had been patched.
Service: was bizarre
People at the reception were extremely friendly and helpful
Problem: it was booked for two people, but only one bath towel, one cup and one glass were provided (with kettle)
I later received the t****e bath towel after asking at reception. Unfortunately, the first three days I went back to reception 8 (!) times to get a t****th cup and t****th glass.
It was always promised that we would get them. There was also a call in my presence to come through and bring a cup and glass. I put a note next to one cup asking for a second cup and a second glass.
It's not a disaster, but you shouldn't pretend to be a 4-star hotel with such service! The room, bathroom and service are more consistent with a 2 or 3 star hotel.
The buffet breakfast (over 12 euros per person) was appropriate for a 4 star hotel and was excellent.
Upon arrival we were told breakfast was included. When I asked them the next day if they wanted to check this again, so that I wouldn't suddenly have to pay an extra 120 Euro at the end, they could no longer find my booking. They would search further. The next morning I received a call that breakfast was not included after all!
(We had received the trip as a gift and didn't know if breakfast was included)
All in all, great location, friendly, helpful people at reception, but apart from a good breakfast, it is at most a 3-star room that needs maintenance
GGuest UserEXTREMELY CLEAN and WELCOMING hotel!
The staff is very welcoming, warm, smiling and caring from the beginning to the end of the stay.
The wifi works perfectly and at high speed!
On site you have the possibility of lunch or dinner, drinks at your disposal and the kindness of the staff who are extremely concerned about our comfort.
Cleaning can be done at any time in the room, enough to rest peacefully and be sure to find an extremely clean and fragrant room on our return.
The Yass hotel is really very well located since it is a stone's throw from the American embassy, and in one of the most beautiful areas of Dakar.
The area is also very secure, in addition to the hotel security which cares about each entry and exit of each person.
You also have the possibility to browse the internet using the MacBooks in the hotel lobby.
There is also a concierge service that allows you to travel to the heart of Dakar at extremely affordable prices and always secure for our comfort.
I sincerely recommend the Yass hotel for your stay.
This is my 3rd stay in Dakar and my 3rd stay at the Yass hotel.
2 minutes from the Yass hotel you will find the most popular restaurants in Dakar (Le Cosmo, The Jungle, Chez Fatou, etc.) all with a magnificent setting facing the sea.
Thank you to the staff and management for allowing me to stay and fully enjoy Dakar.
See you soon
Shanna B.
GGuest UserI had a problem with my visa when arriving at the airport so I was not able to left the customs/airport and I informed the hotel, and they refused to help me to cancel the reservation which was just for 1 night due to connecting flights. Then no support for the customers so will not consider this hotel for other occassiobs
SSHASHI AMARNANIAmazing hotel. Clean, big room size. Hotel staff was kind. Hotel is 15mins away from the proper down town area. Hotel should give more water, at check in only gave 1 bottle. And the next day didn’t put a new bottle.
HHANWEIBreakfast is not like, bread, omelet, 1 each, coffee, drink a cup to check out 3500 West. There is no toothbrush and toothpaste slippers in the room. The spa does not have to buy it outside. The charging plug of the mobile phone is not the same as buying the conversion head; the room is still clean.
