Twin temples in Mae Hong Son, a cultural symbol of the Tai Yai city, a temple of Mae Hong Son. Wat Chong Kham or the royal temple of Wat Chong Kham is a temple built in 1797 as the first temple in Mae Hong Son. It is located on the edge of Nong Chong Kham Public Park. There are two temples in the same area. Each temple is separated by a chapel. The chapel is a beautiful architecture of Tai Yai and Burmese art, which is an important identity of the temple. The peaceful beauty of the Wihan Luang Pho To at Wat Chong Kham, Mae Hong Son, which enshrines a large Burmese Buddha statue that is over 90 years old, is another place that you must go to pay homage and ask for blessings at least once in your life. Wat Chong Kham-Chong Klang These two temples are next to each other. In front is a pond in the middle of the city. "Chong" is a Tai Yai language used to refer to a temple. It means "castle", which is in line with the truth that the Tai Yai people build temples to look like Burmese palaces. Therefore, the temple is called "Chong".
