Excellent
GGuest UserWe asked for city view and our room was on the 20th floor. Gorgeous view! The room was clean, everything we needed was provided at a reasonable price. The pool on the 4th floor with a view of the iconic yellow bridge was fantastic. Every staff member we spoke with was friendly and helpful, with great pointers for restaurants. The next time we go to Pittsburgh we will be staying here again.

GGuest UserLocation was great. Hotel was nice and clean. Service was better than good. Strange layout for a hotel. I was quoted one night for $112 by Trip.com and yet was billed $161. How does that work?

As we checked out of Marriott Pittsburgh City Center (Our Con Hotel for Anthrocon 2024) on Monday July 8th before going to The Flight 93 National Memorial, we knew we were gonna be 80 miles away in Shanksville for most of the day. We called this hotel to let them know we would check in late Monday evening, using Bonvoy Redemption and we were guaranteed. After coming back from Flt. 93 National Memorial (A MUST VISIT), I bought last minute gifts in Pittsburgh alongside my Anthrocon roomie and friend Bob, who was visiting from Boston - we then met a couple local furry friends and had a final dinner at Haufbrauhaus Restaurant Pittsburgh before saying goodbye to the amazing city of Pittsburgh after a week of touring the city, museums and attending the world’s largest furry convention “Anthrocon” (17,639 attendees with over $100,000 raised for GreyPaws Sanctuary for senior dogs) it was time to head home to L.A. and this hotel satisfied our needs. Bob had to get me to Pittsburgh Int’l at 5am Tuesday morning (for 7am flight to Chicago O’Hare, connection to LAX) So, we arrived after 10pm and got in our room thanks to Kathleen at the Front desk - just an hour before the power outage, which caused me to not get any undies washed and dry. It was not the fault of staff, they did their best. However, I’m glad I had my fursuit bag and backpack sorted before the outage. The power did come back up before 2am and I got maybe three hours (maybe less) before checking out and Bob driving me off to the airport. It was a smart choice versus staying downtown for one more night. Staff friendly and supportive. I would return - FOUR CLAWS UP!!!! Thanks for reading my review of Fairfield Inn Pittsburgh Airport. GGuest UserI always start a review with the positives. I also don't like to be part of the problem but part of the solution and try to always offer helpful suggestions if I make a valid complaint. That said... The room at the Holiday Inn PIT Airport was PRETTY clean. I saw dark, long hairs on the bathroom floor (my hair is short and blonde,) and in the tub which led me to think the bathroom wasn't clean. However, the toilet and sink were seemingly wiped down and plenty of towels were accessible. The beds are comfy, the rooms are large, and we appreciate the outdoor pool in the warmer months. My husband and I stay here quite often, as many as 4 times a year or more, often with a multi-night stay, and we enjoy using the pool. The location for us is convenient to restaurants, shopping and the airport. Holiday Inn Pittsburgh Airport in general meets our needs. The breakfast is very good. Lots of a variety of hot foods and coffee. The waitstaff is always helpful in bringing out supplies, refilling coffee, hot food, a ”to go” bag if needed, etc. That all said, there is this very heavy set MEAN blonde lady with glasses that makes us cower and cringe each time we enter the hotel. We DON'T want to ask her for anything as she ALWAYS makes us feel like we are BOTHERING her. She seems to work the day shift, from early morning til 3 p.m. or so, as we have noticed and we try to make my requests and ask questions AFTER she is gone for the day. How ridiculous is this?!! Case in point: During one particular stay, I asked for more bars of soap for our room. I prefer bar soap. I shouldn't have to feel ”sheepish” about asking. They are mini and not full-sized bars of soap. We usually stay an average of 3 nights when we come to town and the hubs and i prefer bar soap to the bodywash and need more than one teensy bar for the two of us between the shower and sink for 3 days of usage. Get this one....She told us to use the bodywash in the containers on the shower wall and asked us if we had checked to see if the container of body wash was full!!!?? She seems to like to provoke an ARGUMENT! Then she preceded to tell us how she was instructed to hand out the minimum as in the case of the soap. I was thinking: ” Lady, please just open the drawer behind you and give us the dang soap!!” It's NOT a difficult request. I'm thinking: What happened to the old adage, ”The customer is always right?” The staff certainly should not ARGUE with the customer. A hotel front desk clerk works in the hospitality business and should provide the customer with ”hassle free” service. NOT! We don't ask for much. We don't ask for the room to be serviced with fresh towels, etc. during our usual 2 to 3 night stay. Was asking for mini bars of soap too difficult of a request? Today in our hotel room, I went to wash my hands after leftovers from an early lunch (around 11:00 a.m.,) to find that there was NO WATER. It had obviously been shut off. Why? We called the front desk to find out what happene

GGuest UserThank you to this hotel for hosting my family during our wedding weekend! They reserved the entire 3rd floor for us. The front desk associates were very pleasant and accommodating. Anything we needed, they helped us with. When my husband and I wouldn't be there for check in to our honeymoon suite because our wedding was at the same time, they took our luggage to the room for us while we were out, so that when we came back it was already in our room. They allowed us to have late check out both Saturday and Sunday. The breakfast was also very good! I was very pleased. The rooms were great! Very comfortable. And their body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were the nice big bottles. We got a conference room for the reception dinner, and it was big and lovely. The entire hotel is very nice with ample parking. I was very pleased with this hotel and proud to host my family there. It was 15 minutes with traffic to our venue, Salvatore's. The only issue was the staff changes, where the staff we were dealing with in the planning of our weekend would quit and not leave any notes for the new staff, and we'd have to start all over. However, in the end, it all worked out perfectly. I am happy with this hotel.

GGuest UserThe staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The continental breakfast was decent, but not great. The location is fantastic if you're in town for a ballgame. However, my room was at the very north end of the hotel near the highway and the road noises at night was pretty bad/loud due to the elevated roadway. The reason for my terrible rating on cleanliness is that when I turned down my sheets, I had black flecks of something all in my sheets, as well as a long dark hair under the top sheet I could see. Additionally, I had some sort of dead bug on my side table. It looked like potentially a bed bug, so I didn't get much sleep the only night I was there. I'd recommend this hotel to stay at with a few caveats of asking for a room on the south end of the hotel as well as checking your sheets as soon as you get into your room.

GGuest UserDue to the passing of a beloved friend's father, my husband and I had occasion to go to the Pittsburgh area. I had spoken to Kyarah earlier in the day with a few questions. She was so professional, kind and helpful. We arrived in the evening and because of the location, we first rode past it. However, when we were able to safely turn around, we did so, without incident. We were checked in without issue and Kyarah had made sure before she left for the day that our room was up to standards. Everything was in order. This location is an older property and could use some updating but we were accommodated beautifully. The next morning we were able to have breakfast with a nice selection of items. There were several people already in the dining area. We were able to be adequately distanced from others since Covid 19 is still here. We stayed overnight for two nights and as easily as we were checked in, we were checked out. Should we find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely consider staying here.

GGuest UserThis Holiday Inn Express is a dump, every other Holiday Inn Express has been great except this one and apparently management oversight doesn't care as this is another very similar review from others that did not care much for this hotel. Filthy, had to change rooms due to the mold and mildew in the bathroom shower and the sewer odor on the floor. New room on a different floor was slightly cleaner until you see all the hair on the bathroom floor and no fan, after a 1 hot shower, the ceiling is dripping with water. Bought clorex wipes to clean the area. Found a dirty shirt from a previous guest on the floor underneath an ottoman. $22/night for parking is a ripoff and the gate to get into the lot is broke. The entry door in the back near the parking lot, that is supposed to open with your room card, is propped open night and day, must be broke and can be a security issue. Stairwell had trash in it. Couldn't wait to be out of the room.

Weekend in Pittsburgh for a concert at Mr. Smalls, then some sightseeing. This was close to Millvale and the ***** district, and had some of the best pricing in the area for the amenities I was looking for: shuttle, pool, free breakfast, free WIFI. Also hoped for free parking, but even with paid parking, the daily rate was less than others in the area. The hotel is modern and clean, albeit laid out a little weird- you park in the back on the second floor, and have to go downstairs for the check in desk. There are both stairs and elevators, so access is not an issue. And there is a door on the first floor street level, as well as a limited time parking area to pull up to that door and check in if you wanted to. Do not be intimidated by the neighborhood- the surrounding houses look a little worn, and there were some panhandlers around, but we came and went at all hours and never felt unsafe. Do mind traffic as there are some pretty large, somewhat confusing intersections nearby (though that seems to be kinda par for the course for the city). Our room was nicely appointed, and we had a decent view of the city from the fourth floor (facing the main road). There is also a patio/deck on the sixth floor if you like wide city views. The heated pool was wonderfully relaxing, but check if there are towels in the pool area before entering! Breakfast included cereals, breads, waffles, small selection of yogurt and fresh fruit. There were also hot items- scrambled eggs and sausage for the two days we were there. I can't have gluten, so I was grateful for the hot items, but unfortunately the eggs were somewhere between rubbery and hard both days. Sausage was delicious though. And please stock more bananas! The shuttle was very handy, especially when we got caught in a rain storm after walking across to the ***** district for dinner. Make sure you take a card with the phone number at the front desk! The driver was super friendly and knew her way around well. Mattress was a little too hard for our tastes, but the mix of squishy and firm pillows was great! and there were five of them for two of us, so we had options to get comfy with! WIFI was decent strength and easy to connect to. Our room faced the street and highways, but the street noise was minimal. Good blackout curtains, too. Overall, we were happy with our stay. We felt safe, clean, and partner really enjoyed the waffle maker and yogurts at breakfast. Would stay again.

Room was comfortable and clean. Location convenient to airport and reason why I booked the night. Close proximity to restaurants. Wyndham reward member and used my points to stay for free. I have been staying in hotels since Aug 1 traveled from St Pete Beach FL with stops throughout GA, TN, KY, IN and PA. Enjoyed this hotel the most as compared to Red Roof, Days Inn and Super 8- they all add up and can't stay at the Hilton for a travel job for nursing when I'm all over. Would recommend and definitely stay again!!
