The best there is in this sleepy town! Nicole, Brooke, Carrie, Chyna, and Peggy are the best group of women working as a team to ensure a memorable stay for every guest and treating them like family. They honor your special requests as best they can and work hard to do so. The ladies in breakfast and housekeeping are the best. This hotel is working on 5 years old and smells brand new! Super clean. Kerry and Jade keep things going so rooms are done in a timely fashion. Matt is a gem and fix anything, if it’s broke he can fix it. Can’t say enough about this hotel and the staff!
CcorollaIn a small town near Shenandoah National Park, the American Express Hotel has a consistent style and is quite satisfactory. There is nothing particularly bad about it. It should be regarded as the best place to stay after passing through the park.
PPmbfromgaThis was a disappointing stay. This hotel has clearly been around a while, and it’s showing its age. I didn’t realize that the rooms opened to the outside so the noise from I-81 was definitely apparent. A lot of light also came in despite the curtains being closed. The door had obvious gaps around it too, which was somewhat concerning. I will say that at least the bathroom was very clean, but that was really the only redeeming feature. If I hadn’t been traveling with my husband, I’m not sure I would have felt safe staying.
GGuest UserSimple cute hotel, all clean and had a lovely stay. No problems at all. Dog friendly for only $15 extra, so glad I could bring my lil friend. Would recommend! Thank you to days inn for the hospitality.
The signage leading you to the 1/4 mile driveway is very good. The only problem is the hill you have to drive up. The clerk admitted that they have people go into the ditch if the road is icy. We stayed in a non-smoking king room (#126) by the pet walk area. There was plenty of electrical ports and the bed was comfortable and solid. It was remarkably quiet despite being adjacent to the I-81. Surprise! This hotel served a continental breakfast with coffee and orange juice. I had bagels and cream cheese. Not in the mood for cereal.
