It's an easy walk to the Frying Pan river and the Roaring Fork River- enjoy Basalt's world class Gold Medal Fly Fishing waters. Just 21 minutes to amazing skiing at Aspen, Snowmass , Highlands and Buttermilk. There is an A/C unit upstairs.This 3000 square foot log cabin home sleeps 7: It has 3 bedrooms- a king master with en suite bath is located on the main level. Upstairs you'll find 2 more bedrooms- a king bedroom and a queen bedroom. There is a daybed upstairs that can be used for 1 additional guest. Tub and shower bathroom with double sinks is in the hall upstairs. At the top of the stairs is an inviting tv nook with 2 loveseats. Powder room bath is on the main level. Dining room sits 8 and special occasion china is in the cabinet for guest use. The kitchen is well-equipped with gas stove, plenty of cookware, dishes and glasses. The host provides all linens, towels, toiletries, toilet paper, dish soap etc. Guests can use one space in the garage and there is ample parking in the driveway. Gas grill is on the back patio. Luxurious Riverfront Log Cabin located directly on the banks of the Frying Pan River. The Guest Cabin is located on the same property as Lodge at River's Edge and consists of a fully equipped kitchen, living room with cable TV and wireless internet, a bedroom with a queen bed and an open air loft with two twin beds. There is also a pull out sofa in the Living Room. The cabin was originally built by Colorado Midland Railroad workers in 1896, it was restored a century later in 1996. The cabin was renovated again in 2005 and 2015 . The cabin is decorated in an elegant mountain style and includes luxurious linens, comfy robes, down pillows, radiant in-floor heating, fireplace and all the amenities you would expect at a nice hotel. The sliding glass door opens up to the views and sounds of the Frying Pan River rushing by. The cabin guests' are welcome to fish on the Frying Pan River in front of the cabin and also upriver towards the main lodge.The cabin interior was recently with a gorgeous custom staircase to the loft. Additionally, the kitchen has been remodeled with granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and wood flooring throughout. The main bus station is 1 blocks from our unit that you can take anywhere with buses leaving every 20 minutes. If you rent a car you do not have to worry about snow as you have a designated underground parking spot. On days we ski Aspen mountain, we typically valet at The Little Nell, and have a Apres ski cocktail and have our ticket validated, which makes it quite reasonable to park at the very base of the mountain. It is a terrific place to people watch and relax before heading back to our little sanctuary. You are steps from the bus stop, the best wine store in the valley, as well as two of the top-rated restaurants on the first floor! Jump on the bikes and head to the river or stroll to the 8 screen movie theater or the darling bowling alley that serves rack of lamb! We have done what we feel makes a space both exciting and comfortable to enjoy the best of the best in Colorado.
