"We chose this hotel because of the location, easy walk to riverwalk, our favorite spot....just perfect. The staff & valet service were extremely helpful & courteous. The only thing we were not pleased was our room #610. It was not inviting, it seemed damp, was dark, couldn't open shades in the afternoon, too much sun. When we got there the shades were up & the room was very hot, took long to cool the room. In the morning, we enjoy the outside light, though. It just seemed that we were in a very small dull room. Oh, we would have enjoyed a microwave in the room. We just expected a little bit more for the price we paid. But we made the best of it & enjoyed out time there. Thank you for your service in making it comfortable.

"The hotel itself is very nice, and the valet and bellhop staff were exceptionally friendly. The location is excellent, right on the Riverwalk, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure; however, if you’re tall, the shower head placement is not ideal—my husband is 5’10” and had to duck to use it.
We would consider staying again, but on our last morning the toilet clogged and overflowed onto the floor. This was frustrating, especially since very little toilet paper had been used. Most people would consider a toilet overflow an urgent issue that requires immediate attention. We called for assistance, but no one ever came. It seemed as though staff assumed they could wait since we had a couple of hours before checkout, which was disappointing. As a result, my husband had to go to the ground floor to use the restroom, and we had to navigate around toilet water on the bathroom floor while getting ready."
"overall was a pretty good stay. the room was spacious. However my window only has 1 light layer of curtain, and not the light-blocking/thicker one.
when i phoned the receptionist, she basically ignore my complaint by saying there is one (there wasnt, i even showed her the photo there was only 1 layer instead of 2). she said will ask someone to check the next day, but there wasnt anybody checking nor added.
im still giving 4-star overall for the location, parking, and spacious room."
"The room was neat, quiet and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast included omelets and meat patties, and the yogurt and milk were of good quality, which was considered good among American breakfasts! But the room smelled of perfume or aromatherapy, which was not very accustomed to! The location was in a small alley, and there was a bar on the corner, so I was a little worried about going in and out at night. It was about an 8-minute walk from the river walk, and there was a popular BBQ restaurant along the way. It was about a 13-minute walk to the Alamo Museum. A very cost-effective hotel!"
"The hotel staff were very friendly, kind and always helpful.
However housekeeping was only done after resquesting. The AC was broken in the lobby/breakfast area and it was too warm but breakfast selection was good. The water pressure in the shower and from the faucet was low.
Overall clean hotel, friendly staff and very good location."

SS CortinaWe were looking for a hotel near our family. We received a suggestion from Trip.com to take a gander at La Quinta Inn & Suites Sea World. The price offered for our lengthy stay was unbeatable elsewhere. I read the reviews and had a few concerns, but you just never know. Now, what I am about to mention I do not say lightly because I travel extensively. We arrived at the hotel after an exhaustive travel day on the road. We were greeted by a young lady named Samantha. She was probably the best front desk clerk that I have ever encountered. She was inviting, respectful and welcoming to La Quinta. She asked how our day was and assured us that our stay would be as comfortable as she could make it. She explained everything and directed us to the elevators. As we walked away, she reminded us to call on her if we encountered any issues and wished us a good night. The hotel was clean and safe. I woke up during the night and looked outside the window to check on my vehicle. I found a security vehicle stationed at the entrance of the property. This was good to see and put me at peace. The only issues that I had was the coffee and the room. I found the coffee to be Luke warm to cold on two occasions in the morning. As for the room, the hotel was a non smoking hotel, but I swear someone had previously smoked in the room. The aroma wasn't too bad but I could tell. It was tolerable but unfortunate. You trust visitors to follow the rules but not all can be controlled. A huge thanks to the best front desk clerk Samantha who checked in on us during our week visit. Thank you!
GGuest UserGreat experience. Front desk was very accommodating and very nice. They offered my kids free snacks. Clean and quiet room. Would stay here again.
GGuest UserWe were excited after reading the reviews on Google, but when we arrived the single elevator was broken. We asked for a first level room, but were told they were sold out for the night. We arrived to our room and it smelled like it was smoked in but covered in air freshener. The smell seemed to be soaked in the walls. Since we were already told they were sold out, we didn’t attempt to ask for another room. The rooms mostly clean. We had 3 people and only 2 sets of towels. The room felt muggy and again, smelled.
AAiqijunThis hotel is cost-effective. Convenient transportation and price is OK. The neighborhood is a little bit biased. But if there is a car, it is not a problem. The overall law is quite satisfactory.
GGuest UserThe hotel was located well for our needs. Parking was good with ample spaces. Overall hotel was a little older on the interior, could use some updating. The elevator was usable but scary. Jerked to a stop at every floor and sat for a few seconds before locking into place with another hard jerk. Breakfast was your typical scrambled eggs, that could have been powdered initially, basic sausage breads waffles cereal etc etc, nothing special. Room itself was clean although dated. Air conditioner cooled and warmed well but was very noisy, hard to hear the television at times over it. Toilet seat was broken in the bathroom and barely attached to the base. Shower handle had to be manipulated to get it to the hot sitting. Overall I would give the hotel a 6 out of 10 for the overall experience.
RRingo. There was nothing great or wrong about the hotel room. I arrived at night and wouldn’t recommend walking around that area alone in the dark . The listing states a $50 security deposit but I was charged a $100 deposit and trip.com customer service agent contacted the hotel on my behalf. I left at 11am and prior to leaving there was 2 separate knocks at the door to serve as reminders check out was at 11am.
On the Charming side. Around at 11pm I decided to grab my self an ice bucket which was located on the first floor, after I got my ice bucket and headed towards my room a young mother sat on the stairs smoking a cigarette with her two lil girls. And as I passed I said to the girls “excuse me young ladys” as I got passed them, the young mother apologized and told her there was no need for an apology , smiled and continued on my way . I could hear one of the girls ask her mother why I referred to her as a young lady, the mother replied with because one day your grow up to be a beautiful lady. The lil girls laughed and laughed, which brought forth dad. Asking his family what was all the noise outside about? The girls said with excitement that their mother had said they would grow up to be beautiful … and don’t know what else was said because by that time I entered my room. But the sound of the two “young ladies” laughing and laughing, did make me feel better.
When I woke, the day light revealed an industrial area of San Antonio TX I had never seen before.
I would stay there again.
