"The room was next to the elevator, but the elevator was quiet. The room was quite spacious. Our flight was at 5:30 in the morning, and the hotel had not yet opened breakfast, so we could not arrange breakfast packs."

"Renovations were pleasant. Updated rooms with working air conditioning. Coffee, microwave, and refrigerator in the room. Darkening draperies are a plus. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, pancakes, potatoes, and sausages. Without labeling, not sure if the sausage was pork or turkey, though. Also cereals, yogurts, packaged baked assortments, and several juices. Other amenities included a Coca-Cola machine with a selection of grab-and-go items for purchase."

"Hotel was very clean and smelled wonderful. Breakfast was awesome, hot breakfast along with waffle maker and standard cereal etc. Only negative was juices tasted very watered down all 3 days. Pool was great, very warm water. Hot tub had some kind of black goopy stuff along sidewalls. Kids had a great time, staff was great. Will stay again."

Enjoy the mountains but stay connected with high speed internet from Infinity and a huge selection of channels or stream your favorite shows on our 60" ROKU TVs upstairs and downstairs. The kids can game downstairs while the grownups can relax on our new couch and loveseat with built in electric recliners and watch there favorite shows.. Our remodeled kitchen in 2019 comes with granite tops so you can stay in and make your favorite dishes. The new gas grill on our covered porch ensures the grill master will not be affected by bad weather. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and lots of fun activities are just a close drive away, but most of our guests say the favorite part of their visit is the 'home away from home' experience they get right at the Hideout.
Please note that the map shows the National Park is 57 minutes away, but that is to the Sugarlands Visitors Center in the middle of the Park. Our cabin is only a 10 minute drive to the National Park's Townsend entrance, or you can hike into the National Park within a 2 minute drive to the Schoolhouse Gap or Rich Mountain trails, (from the lesser known trailheads. Which are favorable during the busy tourist seasons!)
There are several great restaurants in the immediate Townsend area. We highly recommend the award winning Dancing Bear Bistro, which is only 7 minutes away, https://dancingbearlodge.com/dining/. The Abbey (along Little River) has live music on weekends, trivia nights on Thursdays, and daily gourmet specials. The Little River Pub (also along the Little River) has excellent sandwiches, drinks and our favorite Moonshine Pulled Pork Nachos. To experience the "true local favorite” get a world famous chili and slaw hot dog at the Parkway Grocery Gulf gas station. They've sold over a million hot dogs and have been featured on tv. I may be a bit proud and biased because my daughter and son-in-law are the owners, but you won't be disappointed!
Our cabin has cable and Wi-Fi along with the DVR feature in case you don't want to miss your favorite team's games while you're exploring the National Park. There are also card games, board games, books, and puzzles to enjoy while relaxing in the cabin.
If you are really adventurous, you may want to rent mountain bikes and ride the Vee Hollow trails right in Townsend, https://rideveehollow.com/. Or you can rent electric or standard bikes to ride on the bike path that stretches the length of Townsend, while stopping at one of our many coffee shops and local artisan shops for a perfect combination of exercise, fun and relaxation.

Misty View cabin is located in Townsend on a large property (about 5 acres) with gorgeous views of the mountains.
Great news! The pool at Honeysuckle Meadows is opening a whole month earlier than usual this year, April 26th! Book a stay and make sure you get to enjoy a pool with the view of the Smokies all around.
The cabin has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms, which has a king bed, is located on the main floor with an en suite bathroom. The second bathroom is also on the main floor close to the stairs going downstairs.
On the main floor, there is a large kitchen,, with a breakfast nook and an island, a dining room and a living room with a wood burning fireplace. Access to the deck from either the living area or dining area.
Upper level has 3 bedrooms (2 king beds, one queen) and 2 bathrooms (one with tub/shower combination and one with walk in shower). The master bedroom has three large windows with wonderful views of the mountains. Since we know some of our guests are working from home now, we have added a desk in the large master bedroom.
Lower level includes a bunk bed room (4 twins) and 2 game rooms (Foosball table, arcade game, pool table and shuffleboard) with outdoor access to the hot tub. climbing wall, basket ball, seating and fire pit. The cabin also shares volley ball net and playground with other cabin on the property (sleeps 6 - about 300 ft away from this one).

Outside fire pit with seating is perfect for cool evenings.
