The best hotel on the No. 1 road by car, by the sea, is composed of small houses, the twin room can accommodate 4 people, the flowers at the door are beautiful, the room is compact, but everything is there, the next morning can be up Look at the sunrise, and there are staff to help the car scrub the front and rear glass, breakfast is sent directly to the room, there are not many types, but enough to eat, creamchese is delicious! ! ! ! In short, it is a small shop that makes people feel very warm, and happiness is very strong! ! ! ! !
On the 1st road, I stayed in Cumbria for one night. It is a street of various hotels. This is a warm, two-row, face-to-face room with only one floor. There are two small rest pavilions in the middle of the yard, and there are open air in the middle. The fireplace was cold at the end of May, and there was a fireplace in the room, which was comfortable to open at night. Breakfast was chosen at check-in. The next morning, I used the basket to hang at the door. There were not many things but enough to eat. The big bed in the room is also very big, and the car is parked in the yard for free. There is a walking boardwalk opposite the hotel that is very close to the beach. The nearby restaurant has had dinner and come back to see the sunset at the beach. The nearby restaurant recommended by the hotel is very good, but if you feel a bit cold, don't be afraid to wait for it. Don't sit in the open air. Let's feel the temperature of the trembling. The old beauty wears shorts and short sleeves.
This store is a motel feeling, the price is very expensive, not worth it. Good location, just across the way from Yueshi Bay. Service is OK, although not a formal hotel service. The air conditioning in the room is very old and noisy. Sound insulation is average. Breakfast is very simple American, boiled eggs are still good 😆

The room is retro and exquisite, the details are full, and the handmade biscuits presented are delicious. The nearby elephant seal must go and see it, it is a worthwhile trip!
On the edge of the small town CAMBRIA. If you like the sea, it is best to drive 2 miles to live in San Simon. If you have time, go to the town to see it, it is quite simple (there is a small road behind the hotel to go down to the town, you have to ask). The hotel attached to the hotel is very ordinary, but the hotel's country cottage is very distinctive, very clean, the room is large, and the fireplace is very smelly. If time is tight and you just stop by, you can find a better price-performance ratio.

Booked an overnight stay directly on website. Hotel had cyber sale on rooms. Free parking in underground garage. Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Fireplace was on all night. Jetted tub was a plus. Had an issue that was easily taken care of by hotel maintenance. Helpful staff. Location was perfect if you want to relax and enjoy nature and the ocean. Wooded area meets sea cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Bicycles are available. Walking distance to town but suggest parking in town and browse the shops/restaurants. Overall good experience and would stay here again.
Hey we in our family that can make it up stairs had a great time because we can make it up stairs and loved the kitchen for breakfast. This house has a gourmet professional kitchen. Wow totally supplied for anyone that's a professional chief! The location is very near the quaint town of Cambria. For a family who can climb stairs, like all of us but my 86 year old mother, this is a fabulous stay. If anyone wants to bring your elderly family member just know she/he needs to secure a down stairs room at the inn and the rest of the family can have a awesome fabulous time at J Patrick House!
Breakfast included, breakfast is very special, in the morning with bamboo blue hanging in the door of the room, the hotel reception has free drinks and snacks, near the beach, watching the sunrise and sunset is great

GGuest UserThe hotel room is large, there is a fireplace, and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is simple and good quality. Very close to the walrus and the castle.
I checked in on the way to California Highway 1. Recently, there was a road break. I went around a big circle from Big Sur. The previous strategy was still not done. I don't know this situation. Fortunately, there is no danger. The American phone is still necessary. When it is estimated that you can only arrive at the hotel at 10 pm, immediately call the hotel to communicate with the hotel to check in. The hotel has reserved a room card in the password box, otherwise you will have to sleep in the car. Hard work and a good day
GGuest UserThe Blue Dophin Inn is right across the street from the beach in Cambria. It is a boutique hotel with great beds and clean attractive rooms. Our room included an electric fireplace, robes, and a breakfast delivered to our room. I rated it a 4 and not a 5 because the air-conditioning is limited to an open window and fan. The ocean breeze makes this work much of the year. It is less than 10 minutes from The Hearst Castle and a short walk from a great restaurant. In short a great place to stay as long as it is not too hot.
Nnannyambt11-16-19 I booked on line so I really didn’t know what to expect but it was a very nice experience. We stayed in the main Squibb house that had about 3 rooms on the ground floor. We stayed upstairs in the Gothic room and really don’t know why it has that name but very comfortable. It was a small but efficient room. No TV or fridge in the room but we hardly ever turn on the TV and we sat our sodas out on the roof to keep cool so it was all good. The breakfast was served in the back-Barn And was great - we had scrambled eggs, toast, jelly, sausage, French toast, hot syrup, fresh fruit salad, coffee, OJ, hot tea, The breakfast area and sitting room was so inviting. We are planning on returning.
GGuest UserMoonstone Landing sits along Moonstone Beach drive. Such a beautiful location across the road from the ocean. We stayed in an ocean front king room. Wonderfully comfortable bed ! Room was large with a table we could have breakfast at. Chairs on patio were great for watching the sunset. We originally booked another class room as ocean fronts were all booked. I put a note on reservation to contact me if a room became available. They did contact me and we were able to book that lovely room. This will be our choice of lodging if returning to Cambria. Super friendly, helpful staff ! The only bad thing was having to leave.
”Creekside” is literal, there is a beautiful creek behind the motel. It was a great little place to spend the night. The room was clean and it was well kept. We were driving down the coast and stayed here on a Monday night. The bed was comfortable and the creek and woodsy area behind the motel was pretty cool. You could hear the frogs in the woods and it was amazing to listen to. Plenty of parking and easy access to the room. We had a great stay here. Will stay again when in the area.
JJIAThe hotel is great right by the Pacific Ocean. I walked along the seaside trail in the morning and saw the sunrise! The hotel has a fireplace and an outdoor hot pool. Although it is not cold in winter, we get up early to watch the sunrise after swimming in the pool and soaked in hot water before leaving. There is no place to eat nearby, you can ask for breakfast to the room plus a little delivery and service charges.
SSuansuansuansuanlebaFacilities: The heating in the room is super powerful, the seaside is heavy, and the sea breeze is super cold. Come back and turn on the wind immediately. Don't be too comfortable! The infrastructure in the room is very good! The bathroom also has a timing warm light, each design is very practical, the hotel is very thoughtful.
Hygienic: clean and tidy!
Environment: There are enough amusement projects in the hotel, and there is no problem staying at the hotel for a whole day; close to the beach, 5 minutes walk to Moonstone, very convenient, and you can watch the sunset on the beach! There is a complete plank road, very safe.
Service: The service of the hotel and the restaurant next to it is very good!
GGuest UserMoonstone Beach in Cambria is a beautiful place to stay! There are a number of hotels along the coastline here to choose from. I cannot recommend the Fogcatcher Inn. We stayed here in September 2022. Reception at the front desk was friendly but not well informed about some advertised amenities. We had upgraded our room to “ocean view” via an email invitation from the hotel but there was no record of that when we checked in. Also, we were told that since they have no food service there, we could order from a nearby food service with a provided menu. The restaurant was closed the day we were there though, so that was not helpful. Twice we went to the office for assistance and no one was there to respond. Pros- *Great location on beautiful Moonstone Beach. Wonderful shoreline walking path right across the street. *Spacious rooms with high ceilings. *Fireplaces in rooms *Bathroom was recently renovated and in good shape. Cons- *The hotel is rundown and worn. Our room was also very worn out. *Overwhelming odor in rooms of musty mold and mildew. We had to keep the windows open all the time, just to get some fresh air. They probably need to remove the old carpeting in the rooms to remedy this issue. *No air conditioning- probably not needed most of the year. *Uncomfortable beds. Bedding was old and musty smelling. *Chairs in room were worn and threadbare in places. *Nightstand clock didn’t work. Few outlets for plugging in to charge phones, etc. *Room was sp****ly decorated. Very little effort was put in to make room look inviting. * Window blinds/shades were hard to raise and lower and not in good repair. We were very excited to come stay at Moonstone Beach but were disappointed in the conditions at the Fogcatcher Inn. I realize that everyplace has suffered because of closures during the Covid quarantine but the value here for the expensive price was not acceptable.
GGuest UserFront desk personnel was very friendly and attentive.
The room, hmm. Clean but beat up. And broken.
The fireplace did not work. Big bummer. Maintenance got it working, but if we turned it ff, it would not go back on. So, it was a one shot deal. Plus, you never want to have to call in maintenance once you are already in the room. Its just uncomfortable. The window opened on ground level to parking lot two feet from window. One window did not lock at all. Cobwebs hanging from ceiling I have these at home, but don't expect cobwebs at a hotel.
The fan in the bathroom did not work. So it got very stuffy in there and never dried out from shower.
Overall, I would not book here again. there are plenty of other hotel Inns along this stretch of beach, all with the same excellent location.
