I am writing this review from the hotel lobby at 12:11am. I dropped my bags off at 2pm and was given a luggage tag and told my room would be ready shortly. I was told I would be called when my room was ready. It was confirmed and there was no question that I was here and ready to check in. I went on with my planned activities including my dinner plans and now coming back to the hotel have been told they have no room for me. I have never ever had such an experience. They have offered to relocate me to a hotel outside If Cincinnati. This was a quick vacation trip totally ruined by this hotel experience. Under no circumstances will I ever book this hotel chain again. They massively overbooked and have relocated many guests. I have been told on the side by a sympathetic employee that this is standard procedure. NEVER BOOK 21C!!!

We stayed here three nights in October. Extremely clean, well-managed facility, recent complete upgrade of all interior spaces. Staff -- from front desk, to bartender, to housekeeping -- are extremely customer-focused, professional, and friendly. Accommodations are quite comfortable -- on par with Marriott's Courtyard brand. An extremely good value. Very surprised it wasn't more crowded.

Cute decor. Prime location but basically no amenities. The gym and laundry are like micro rooms and it feels like people live there. The hotel has a strange aroma and smells like a nursing home. Also they donât have room service, water bottles inside the room, and no vending machines for snacks or beverages. So if youâre hungry or thirsty in the middle of the night youâre on your own.

Outstanding
GGuest UserThis was my first time at The Residence Inn/The Phelps and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and fresh and had a lovely view of the Great American tower. Excellent service from all I encountered; Kat, Kathleen Styers, Mikayla Austin and Frances Lawton. Also, the valet (unfortunately I do not know his name) was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning here in the future.
GGuest UserNot sure why you would plop down a nice new hotel and put in air conditioners that sound like planes taking off. And it wasnât just one room - it was both rooms of the suite, so Iâm guessing that it was the same throughout the hotel. I was only able to sleep by wearing earplugs every night. Itâs nice that the bedroom has a ceiling fan but the remote control didnât work and when we called the desk to ask about it they said that it was impossible to have the light off and fan on at the same time. Itâs either both on or both off. I suspect the person at the desk didnât actually know what she was talking about but I never followed up. Rooms were certainly big enough, though not enormous. Bathrooms were functional. Breakfast was good, with some different options every morning. Pool looked very basic, workout room was ok but the floor was sticky and the laundry room did the job. As far as location goes that depends upon what youâre looking for. I wanted a hotel between downtown and the tennis center and thatâs what I got. I wouldnât typically want a hotel like this that is sitting in the middle of a mall, surrounded by chain restaurants, with nowhere interesting to walk, but many people might like this. I really only care about one thing in a hotel and thatâs that itâs quiet enough to sleep and because of the air conditioning this hotel failed. Iâd probably give it 2.5 stars if that were an option.
GGuest UserWe stayed here to attend a wedding at Bell Events Center and it was just amazing. Its a smaller property - but when we requested for an adjoining rooms to accommodate our small one's - they made sure we got what we need for the stay. The hotel looks brand new as well so that's a plus. Rooms are in great size and parking location super accessible (additional fee). Our little one's also enjoyed their indoor pool! Big shout out to Sabrina (GM) and Jacob (AGM) for making our stay at Holiday Inn & Suites Cincinnati Downtown GREAT!

DD HAt first appearance driving up was nice and inviting with a nice covered front porch with tables and chairs. Then you notice on both ends the groups of people smoking off it next to the no smoking signs. We pull up into the space reserved for âgold and platinum membersâ, which we are platinum members, which has been a nice perk a many Choice Hotels. As we get out to unload, we discover that, itâs located in a weird handicap marked space. Itâs only marked on the ground, not by a sign. The only sign is the Choice sign. (see photo) How confusing is this? So, we finish loading and decide to move the car just to make sure we do not get towed. As we were walking up, we notice the floors above, the vending room, the lights on both the 2nd and 3rd floors, as just flickering and strobing and the rooms look like they are in disrepair. While walking by the porch and the non-smoking sign where all of the smokers were smoking, we notice that the ground all around is just littered with cigarette butts and reeked of smoke. It was disgusting and just showed a complete lack of disregard of upkeep of the grounds and building. (see photo) Our check-in was friendly and helpful. However, we didnât receive our free âgiftâ like we were supposed to and when we asked about the âhot breakfastâ that was advertised on the sign outside, we were told that there wasnât a hot breakfast anymore that they just havenât removed the sign. They would provide coffee and to-go bags in the morning. The shower water pressure was good but the hot and cold were reserved. The large bathroom counter was nice to have for a change. The elevator was very slow and in need of some TLC such as some paint and upkeep. The paint and walls around the elevator are beat up. Most employees were not wearing masks. At breakfast there were no to go bags available and there was no coffee. About 8:30 there was some lukewarm coffee and no one around to tend to it. When we were checking out, we mentioned it and they said that would make another pot, but we were leaving so that was pointless and said nothing about the bags. Overall, this was a clean, comfortable room to stay in. We would stay here again if in the area. I would hope that management would clean up the area and make things more presentable.
TtravelerererI bought tickets online in advance, came to Cincinnati art Museum to see the exhibition, saw many world-class famous paintings, it really cultivated sentiment, and also increased a lot of knowledge.
__We***53This is a really good museum, the cave and history of space travel section were highlights to me. I also learned a lot about the history of Cincinnati. I also recommend checking out the Omnimax while your there. I suppose I wish there was a few more this to see though, didn't take all that long to see everything.
__We***53This is a really good zoo, despite the past controversy. I highly recommend it, definitely a must visit when visiting Cincinnati in my opinion.
RRiverBlueAlthough it is called a forest, it is actually a park. There are not many trees. In winter, the leaves are falling. I can't see that the forest is lush. There are many paths to walk. It is a good place to hike. Winter is no exception.
