Rated s 5. Shaq along with the other employees have exemplary customer service. The grounds are well as maintained. Shaq went above and beyond to show true compassion and customer service. This was true for all employees. I will be back. It was home away from home.

We're return customers to the 1906 Lodge, and always had a pleasant stay. The staff is still great and helpful! Breakfast and happy hour great, and they provide gluten-free options too! We really like the 1906 because it's a quiet and cozy oasis. However, the difference now is all of the rooms have a portable AC unit and portable heaters, as the main cooling and heating system is broken. We were there in July and the outdoor temps hit 79, and returning to the room at 9pm and our Garden King Spa Room was still 77. Not so cozy, and with the portable AC, not so quiet. Take this into consideration with the amount you'll pay compared to other options.

The room is too small, 15 square meters? If you put 2 boxes, there will be no place to stand, no elevator, and the baggage needs to pick it up. Location is OK, five minutes walk from the beach, there are Mexican restaurants inside and outside the breakfast. It is not recommended to stay in a family. It is too small to catch up with Hong Kong and Japanese hotels.

Giudizio in generale positivo

We just completed our 9th visit to the Beach Village at the Del. We’ve enjoyed the Del over the years and really like Coronado. We’ve noticed a significant decline in the customer experience in recent years. When you go to a place like the Beach Village/Del, it is all about the experience. You know it is going to be pricey (e.g., $14 for a can of beer from the Eno Market but you expect it in a place like the Del). Unfortunately, they have compromised this via their focus on corporate events over individual guests. When we visited a year ago, there was a sales award corporate event that overlapped with our stay. The company bought out the Sun Deck for our entire time there. IMHO the Sun Deck is one of the gems with a bar and food that has great views of the ocean and sunsets. No individuals had use of the Sun Deck for those four days/nights and the same company had events on the beach in front of the Beach Village. Last year we had to wait until 5:45 p.m. to get into our two-bedroom ocean front suite/cottage in the Beach Village. This year, we reserved a three-bedroom ocean front suite/cottage for five nights. The daily cost for the suites totaled $7,000 per night including taxes and fees. Right in front of our suites was the Beach Club, an exclusive place on the beach with umbrellas, chairs, a big entrance and unfortunately a completely obstructed view of the beach and ocean. Right next to this is an area where they now hold corporate events. During our five-night stay, there were three different events that also created an obstructed view from our patios. They have to set-up and tear down for these events so there is noise and disruption. My step-son said they were vacuuming the sand in the area after a Friday night event until midnight and he could not get to sleep. I did talk with Krista who is the Director of the Beach Village. She ended up making a small credit (equal to about 5-6% of the total bill) for these challenges. The employees look weary when you bring up the issues as you know they are getting inundated from guests. At the end of the day, shame on Del management and Hilton Curio for enabling these circumstances when guests are shelling out $7k a night. I feel bad for the employees who get irate guests. Another experience that has degraded is the Windsor Cottage. You used to have access to the Cottage being a Beach Village guest for a complimentary breakfast. About five years ago, they took away the complimentary breakfast and you had to pay for it (it was a small buffet type experience). In the last 2 years they renovated the Cottage and it just reopened and is called the Ocean Concierge Club. When we checked in we asked about and it was $150 per person, per day to use the Cottage. They provide a breakfast and lunch as part of the charge but if you want dinner that is separate. If 3 people wanted to use the Cottage for four days it would total another $1800 on top of what they are paying for their rooms,
Service from everyone was excellent. Employees all seemed happy to be there. The hotel is old so the noticeable imperfections are understood including the size of the room. It’s a very nostalgic excellent location to stay. I must need to get out more to appreciate the charges for the stay. After paying $500 a night I assumed most charges were covered. I did not notice the fee of $75/night for parking. I understand paying a historical restoration fee being built in to the cost but not charged after. A daily charge of $35 for internet and exercise classes that I wasn’t aware of I felt was also something that should be built in to the cost to stay. From a cost standpoint it’s not for the faint of heart to eat and drink however the quality was good, even the $12 ice cream cone.
Family hotel, convenient transportation, room is too small. There is no place to put a few boxes, the shower room is too small to be separated from wet and dry.

Coronado Island
LLavender and SunIt is said that the love story of the protagonist of the story "Love beauty rather than the country", the famous British Prince Edward and American Mrs. Simpson, happened here. The greatest wealth on the island is the historic Colorado Hotel, which has attracted countless rich people and celebrities since its opening in 1887. This hotel has also been used as the background of many famous movies.
Silver Strand State Beach
MM32***23Excellent beach with decent parking for $8.00 for the day. Great beach for long walks and the chance to get larger shells and plenty of sand dollars. Beautiful views and great sand.
Coronado Beach
MM32***23A quality beach experience for dogs and humans and one of the very few places you can let your woofer off leash in Coronado. There is plenty of parking even if a short walk from the neighborhood area adjacent to the park. Coronado is very serious about dogs on leash and picking up after your pet, so this beach is freedom from the leash law. If it is your first visit with your dog to saltwater, know that many dogs will get sick shortly after romping in the surf from ingesting the water, and it often happens in the car on the way home. Although often crowded on weekends, everyone seems to get along well ... dogs and their owners.
Museum of History and Art
1137***66This small historical society museum has a great location in the heart of busy Coronado. The two rooms (one with permanent items, the other with special shows) also serve as a visitor center, and there is a nautical-themed gift shop in the connecting room, which is connected to the busy Tent City Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Special shows are often about the social history of the island. In May 2017, Irving Gill's house was converted into a craftsman's traditional feature, and was previously the iconic Hotel del Coronado. For a taste of local culture, take a free tour at this local museum.
Coronado Public Library
1137***66This is a very nice community facility, clean and well maintained with friendly and helpful staff. The wifi must have been great as there were several people using their devices although we did not use it. There is plenty of comfortable seating to read the many periodicals or large coffee table books. The bathrooms are kept very clean and there are no unsavory characters around so the kids can wander safely. This is a great place just on the edge of downtown, near the police station and away from traffic and crowds. Parking is available on the street nearby.
