The lobby was updated, but our room was not. Desk chair sat way lower than the desk and would only go lower. The bed lights were both broken and would flip over if bumped. The pool was ice cold! Breakfast was always out of pancake batter, and when crowded, the breakfast bar was super hard to manuever around. Found lots of items on the floor... like old gummies and candy indicating the room really had not been cleaned well. Bed was ok, and surprisingly, we didn't hear freeway noise much. Was really hoping for a better experience for our anniversary weekend.
This is an exceptional property. The outside areas are well maintained and inviting. When we arrived, Lynn at the desk was very welcoming and helpful. He is a super star. Our room was very upscale...spotless and all furnishings in excellent condition. No stains or ripped sofa cushions here! Quiet overnight. We booked a king one bedroom suite. Little extras provided were great. Breakfast area well stocked and squeaky clean. We have been Hilton Honors Diamond members for many years. I thing IHG has a new customer!
The price is OK, the room is quite large, a little old, but the sound insulation of the room is more general, the morning is a bit noisy, the health is OK, the price is OK, it is decent.
This Holiday Inn is in a very convenient location, directly across the street from the Coliseum, not far from a large mall and restaurants, and only a few miles from downtown. I checked in around 1, and my room was ready. It’s of average size, and clean. Bed was fine, shower was OK, and halls were quiet. I did use the pool briefly which is of decent size. There is no spa. I didn’t eat at the onsite restaurant or bar. There are several mastodons statues located on the property, as that is the mascot of nearby Purdue- Fort Wayne. A nice touch, but some of them have seen better days and need to be repaired or replaced.

They offer no amenities, I’ve been to the office daily after work to get new key cards because they only work for a few hours and then quit. There are used syringes laying through the parking lot, one of my employees is sleeping on the floor because there is no pullout sofa like the site states and they would not give a refund because I booked through my Wyndham app, I’ve called Wyndham and gave them feedback but got a Im sorry for your inconvenience pitch and that was it. They refuse to give us another room. The cleaning person is a guy running around with cleaning supplies and a vacuum wearing his pants below his ass and no shirt on looking like a 309(inmate) in a county jail. My neighbors are fighting as she is throwing his belongings over the rail as I am writing this review. This is not a hotel, more like a slumlord apartment complex. They have not cleaned our rooms once, the god awful smell coming from the dishwasher keeps me up at night on top of guy riding there motorcycle through the courtyard and around the gazebo at night revving his engine, the people that are staying or should I say live here are loud as crap and don’t give a rats ass about anybody else. Pretty sure there is an underage ********** or druggie going in and out of the same four rooms several times a day. There is so much more that I can keep writing so im just gonna say please read reviews…. They are there for a reason… I just want my money back.

Excellent
This is the newest hotel/motel in Fort Wayne and close to where I needed to be on the northwest side. Tru is different, the lobby resembles an elementary school with lots of colors and an array of different seating options. A hot breakfast is served there, the choices and quality are good and they have an automated pancake machine. The staff is friendly and helpful--our first room was on the interstate side and had too much road noise, so they moved us to the quiet side. The rooms are small but clean, the bathrooms are are spacious and clean with a nice shower. An idea for improvement is 100% cotton sheets, the polyester ones are too hot and clingy. Also the heaters seem to have a 4 degree offset so the room gets cool then pretty warm in the winter. Overall a nice new place.
My family and I stayed one night at the hotel. I am a IGH hotel reward member. I book from site paid $119 plus $50 damaged. Upon our arrival we immediately noticed how empty the hotel was for a fourth of July weekend ( July 6, 2024). Counted 6 cars in total including mine. There was only two hotel staff. Never seen housekeeeping.Entering the hotel it seem clean but boy was we wrong. We was placed on the fourth floor of hotel. We only seen TWO other guest while there. It's a 4 floor 80 room hotel. Our room was not keep up. Notices damage to headboards, holes in wall, the iron was dirty and orange stuff in shower and stain on sheets. After walking around on each floor.... I noticed it not so clean plus if you stay in room 101,201,301,401 there is a carmer above the door and pointing right at the door. A couple of the doors has paper sign on them. Outside area was okay. Four chairs and a table that was chip and damaged. Cigarette buts mix in the rocks. Siding on hotel chipped. Water hoses just laying out plus there was a trash can blocking a fire exit on the main floor. Beds were comfortable and coffee was good. Pool was out of order. Breakfast option was two hot sandwiches option the rest is grab and go. On July 13 2024 I placed a call to see where my $50 damaged deposit was. Told two different answers. Never received refund. Stay at your own judgment.
GGuest UserThe location was great with restraunts nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was far better than expected. The room was clean and comfortable. The complaints were few. There was a high pitched ringing noise from the vent in the bathroom. It was random and not present long enough to be able to report to staff. The hallway smelled strongly of ********* at intermittent times during our overnight stay. We would stay again despite the slight issues.
GGuest UserGreat hotel with a “parking” fee added to your room fee - that’s okay in that it is only a small charge and I knew ahead of time as they clearly state that up front - but why not just raise the room rate to match others in the area? Gorgeous rooms, comfy beds, decent breakfast. Would stay again.
We went to Fort Wayne to help after a flood, most hotel were full so we decided to try Days Inn. I only paid for one night thinking that we could find another hotel if it was a bad experience. I have to say, the rooms were clean, it was quite and the staff was wonderful. The next morning I extended our stay for the whole trip. As we were there they were doing a lot of work on the property to improve it. We had 2 rooms, one was still a bit dated, but clean, the other had been updated. I would definitely stay again if I ever come back to the area.
Staff was super friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect too and close to many different restaurants and not far from the airport and mall. We would definitely return for other stays.
GGuest UserThey put a $100 hold on your account in addition to your room charge. I went to my room and was disgusted at what I found. The toilet wasn’t even flushed from the last person who had been there! Smears on the wall under the toilet paper, dirty sheets and pillow, and dirty carpet. Despite driving all day, I told the manager I didn’t want to stay there because of the conditions. He said I needed to leave immediately, so I got my things and went to get my receipt. He threw a fit about me wanting a copy of my receipt, and he threw it at me and said “now get out. And if the room is messed up, we’re charging you a cleaning fee.” I asked him, why would he charge me a cleaning fee? I’d been there 20 minutes and all I’d done is inspect the bedding and the room. He said, “you can’t just come in, mess everything up, and leave.” Well, he charges all these cleaning fees, and the housekeepers don’t even clean the rooms properly. Needless to say, I’m disputing this with my bank. The fitness center is shut down, hallway bathroom is shut down, they are not serving breakfast, and no daily housekeeping. There were even bugs on the check in counter. Stay far away from here! It’s not worth it to stay here, especially when it’s dirty and you don’t even get breakfast. You’re way better off staying somewhere else and not risk getting charged a cleaning fee for nothing.
GGuest UserVery nice hotel for the price, clean, good customer service, convenient and safe .. definitely i'll be using it again and a gain I stayed in some budget hotels in the area and this one is the best by far
