We stumbled across Motel 6 Cutler Bay by accident. Our truck broke down on the highway and had to have it towed. The tow guy recommended Motel 6 to us. So, here we are. This motel 6 seems to be different from the others. It was clean, staff polite and courtesy and the prices were the lowest in town. Now, don't get me wrong, paying $149.00 a night at a Motel 6 is steep, it was still the best price in town. The room was clean and they had good coffee. Thank you for a great night sleep.

I paid too much, for the little I got. I wish I would have read the reviews first. This place is NOT wheelchair accessible. The doors are not automatic, it was like trying to get out of a rat trap, with that wheelchair. If you are like me traveling with your love ones that is in a wheelchair or trying to pass those doors with a stroller. You are going to have a problem and will need help. The one star 🌟 was given for the person that checked me in. After that everything went downhill. Once I got upstairs the air freshener was the first thing I smelled, but it was no match for the ********* smell in the hallway. I rather smell wet carpet, then to smell that nasty *********. I called and asked if smoking ********* was allowed, because this is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel! No, I was told, there is no smoking allowed. Thank God the smell was not in the room. But that wasn't the only thing that was not in the room. There was no silverware or plastic ware. I had to go to the front desk and beg for a plastic spoon to feed my mom. There is a stovetop, but there's no pots or pans. There was no paper towel. These are the things I look for inside an extended stay hotel! The room is stocked with only 2 towels and 2 wash cloth. That next day, after I bathed and bathed my mom, I realized I needed one more bath towel. The house cleaner was right outside my door. When I asked for a towel. She said ” No”. I had to go downstairs. When I asked the lady at the desk, she told me there was no towels available, come back in an hour. And bring the dirty towel too! She yelled, as I was walking away. Let me say it again, this place is not wheelchair accessible. The bed, I mean the mattress on the spring table, stands about 3 feet off the floor. With the grace of God, I was able to put my mother, that stands 4 feet and 11 in. into bed. This was not an easy task because she needs complete assistance. One good thing about the bed, was that it moved, so I was able to move it around the room to better care for my mom. And the rest for furniture moves too. I could have easily turn on some music and played musical chair. I am confused on how this hotel is 3-stars. But I guess to each is own. You see I am really a 5-star kinda girl. but I was being cheap, and that is what I get. You get what you pay for. Like my friend always say, ” and what have you learned? ” I learn to NEVER use this hotel, again. And to tell ALL my family and friends to save their money and not use this hotel. And I learn to spend a little more time and read the reviews. I've learned to spend a little more money and get the service I expect. COMPFORT.

This was the third or fourth stay at this hotel, and for good reason. We came to Miami for a surgical appointment and we stayed at this hotel again because our stay here earlier this year was a very enjoyable experience. This time was no different and it started even before we arrived. I messaged ahead of our arrival and requested a ground floor room because my wife was to have the surgery (which, btw, was successful) and we needed an accessible room. The responding representative (Dan or James?) was most helpful and he agreed to reserve a room for us, and when we arrived we headed straight for that room. Things went simply well with our stay from there onward, from 7 through 15 Sept. Generally, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful, assisting us whenever we needed something during our time there, particularly the front desk staff. We noted that all this happened during a fairly difficult time for hotel staff generally because of reported labour/industrial issues at major hotel chains across the USA. In short, we were impressed with the professionalism (and if my wife says it, that's saying a lot!) and we can only encourage the staff to please continue with this attitude and approach; it will keep guests coming to this hotel for a very long time. There were ROACHES in the room and more than one. I was reluctant about booking this hotel but the location was perfect for the event that my family was attending. I should have followed my first thoughts. The room seemed ok when they checked in but they were only there long enough to change as they had to leave out for an event. When they returned that night they saw a roach in the bathroom but it was late and there was really no option at that late hour so they killed it and went to sleep. The next morning they woke up and saw two more roaches which were also killed but they immediately packed up and alerted the front desk. They offered to spray the room but they let them know they were checking out. They originally only refunded them for the nights they were not staying. When I went to pick them up I requested them to also be refunded for the first night because of the inconvenience and the added costs of booking another hotel last minute. Thankfully the manager agreed to my request. As we were leaving we encountered another guest in the parking lot who stated they also had a roach issue in their room. So book here at your own risk or if roaches are not a problem for you.

Wish we would have found sooner excellent hotel!!! Would highly recommend!! People were so nice and friendly, service was excellent, rooms were great especially with little kitchenette with everything you could think of to use!!! The price was fantastic!!! Will definitely keep in mind for future travels!!!

I thought it was close to the Everglades Park, so I booked this hotel. I went to open the room and saw the waiter just sent the towel inside. I casually said a sentence to one more, because the three of us, a person like a black manager, and the waiter explained the number of towels after check-out. Can I eat a towel hungry?

Compendium: Customer oriented staff. Simple and comfortable rooms. Decent amenities. Well maintained. Very short distance to shopping sites. “So, why would you stay all the way out in Homestead, which is sort of like in the middle of nowhere?” That’s what a friend asked me after a few stays at this hotel at the tip of Florida. I informed the individual that this TownePlace was definitely a hidden gem in my eyes. It is definitely a distance from the major cities like Miami, Doral and FLL but it is still a great choice for many reasons. If you are fond of shopping then there is a shopping plaza ~ 5 minutes driving distance, with off-price retail stores like Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Max, and brands like Old Navy, Kohls and the must try ‘Its Fashion’ for fashionista females who might love trendy or urban clothing(I found myself wanting to either pick out some items for friends or just bring them and watch them find multiple beautiful items at a great price.) There isn’t much of a view but there is a Wendys in walking distance, and you can make a quick dash to Publix or Mcdonalds across the street. The front desk staff to the housekeeping and maintenance workers are always friendly, personable, and some staff like Sasha and Maria - definitely my favorite front desk staff and housekeeper, respectively - will always ensure you are comfortable and have everything you need during your stay. Maria would often ask if there is anything I need without being prompted or asked. Their personalities and work ethic are both awesome and perfect for their positions. The hotel also seems to uphold safety and privacy standards rather well as I’ve always observed them asking for identification in a polite manner. Even Jesus, one of the maintenance workers whom I constantly ran into, was very friendly and would greet me with a “hey” and smile even when I wasn’t aware he was nearby. But if you arrive at night you will possibly be greeted by Emory and Elias who are also very likable and amiable. As I’ve stayed at this location a few times, I can say that the rooms are well maintained for a hotel built in 2016. Maintenance ensures the hotel is well kept and preserved. The rooms are simple with no bells and whistles but you’ll feel relaxed and comfortable. The TVs are a decent size, maybe 47', and there is the basic selection of channels . They do come with a full kitchen setup. Utensils are provided. The showers have always felt clean and hot water is always available. The gym is a decent size(maybe borderline spacious) with an adequate selection of equipment. I once grilled at 2am in the morning and was even able to get an oven mitt upon request. The hotel does offer complimentary breakfast and it is a decent selection. There is often yogurt, milk, Belgian waffles, cereal, and veggie frittatas. The breakfast staff is very friendly so if you do not see something you like do not hesitate to ask, as I’ve seen about two people ask for something specific and the kitchen

The hotel mattress is very comfortable and is customized by serta for the hotel. You can buy things at the target supermarket on foot. It is recommended to try the number one nearby Shiver's BBQ. It’s also very good to have a restaurant in a nearby Mexican gathering area called La Cruzada. We play back late every day so we go back to the hotel to eat.
