This hotel is an American chain brand hotel, located in a small city near San Francisco, one hour away from San Francisco, few people, the hotel room is spacious, clean, three-story, the internal facilities of the room is equivalent to more than four stars in China, is a car Hotel, this brand should be this facility.
Property location is probably one where you would stay only if visiting someone who lives in area. Recommend booking online (even last minute or while you are in lobby) as rates are lower than offered if you walk-in. There is a $200 charge assessed to credit card also that is refunded when room is checked out to make sure no damage or stolen items. It is 4 stories and when I stayed on February 19th elevator was out of order; there is also a second building that looks like it is two floors. Was on 3rd floor and could hear people tromping around in room above me. Room has microwave and refrigerator and dated furniture, with the exception of rust along top of tiles in shower/tub room seemed to be clean. An extra blanket would have been nice but heater was sufficient. Trash truck does come early in morning (unknown schedule) and could late at night hear traffic on Foothill. Breakfast is minimal and no place to sit in lobby, there is an IHOP within walking distance and a donut shop across the street that while not the cleanest, donuts are good. Wi-fi was a bit slow, adequate selection of television channels. Would say people running it make an effort but property is tired and dated.

I’ve read all the reviews here and didn’t experience many of the issues. The place was comfortable, the room was tidy and well equipped with a coffee machine and a large television. The breakfast was excellent too!
Compared with the Sheraton Hotel at Fisherman's Wharf, the hotel is more profitable. The room is large and there is breakfast. In addition to regular bread and coffee, there are egg patties waffles and fruits. The key is free parking, saving dozens of dollars.

First, let me say that we've never stayed here before. We came and stayed here for my niece's wedding at the local golf course. We arrived a day early and I had requested a spa tub room. To begin with the room was fabulous. It was CLEAN and regularly maintained you could tell. The spa tub was to die for. The bed had a mattress I loved it was so comfortable and the pillows were sent from heaven. I asked if I could get the address where they got the pillows and they let me buy two of them from them. The customer service was better than any customer service I've ever had my entire life and I'm going on 62. My entire family stayed for the duration of the wedding, but my husband and I arrived early and left a few days after the family. We loved the hotel and service so much we are coming back for our 30 year anniversary on July 11, 2022. This will always be our go to place for a getaway just my husband and I. It is fabulous. I can't say enough about it. The customer service was what stands out even beyond all the other fabulous things the hotel offers. It is just above and beyond any of the others. I love this place every day and every minute. May God have mercy on us. No one paid us to say these things and the hotel workers were above and beyond when it comes to service. I mean you cannot find any better service anywhere.

I stayed here Friday 11/29-Sunday 12/1 and was very pleasantly surprised. Check in/check out was quick and painless and the front desk clerks were friendly and accommodating. The hotel lobby has modern decor and is inviting with the delicious aroma of fresh popped popcorn available to guests, as well as fresh baked cookies, a bowl of apples and refreshing lemon water. Coffee is available 24 hrs. Our room was incredibly clean, comfortable beds and pillows. The heater worked well and I appreciated that this is a smoke free hotel and there is a recycling can in the room. There is a vending machine with your typical snacks. I do wish there were one or two healthier choices like nutri-grain or granola bars. There is a full breakfast bar including eggs, vege “meat” patty, potatoes, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, bread, bagels, oatmeal-all with accompaniments. The hotel is not seen off the freeway but it’s 880 and 580 convenient. It’s close to the Bart Station if you wanted to stay out of S.F. and ride into the city. The hotel is maybe 15 minutes from Oakland International. This hotel is great if you have guests coming in for special a occasion. There’s a Starbucks within walking distance, and close to Castro Valley Blvd w/access to a variety of sit down family restaurants, mini golf, bowling and a local movie theater. I will definitely Be staying here again.

AAnonymous UserThe room was spacious, clean and pretty quiet for the most part. The facility there are pretty nice and helpful, it’s always an easy and fast check in process.
GGuest UserClean and basic hotel. The price was good and it is definitely a value option, but is located pretty well in the East Bay. There is a 7-11 and Starbucks right outside the hotel, which is nice. Parking is also free, which is nice. Staff was nice at check in. I didn't try the breakfast during my short stay. Nothing exceptional but a good value for the price.
SsolitarydudeI work at Cal State, East Bay. One evening I was just too damn tired to take the long commute back to San Francisco. So, decided to stay in Hayward for the night (I always keep an overnight bag in the trunk just in case I think IO might not have the energy to drive safely back home). Every motel close to the campus was sold out - but the Vagabond Inn, about a 15-minute drive,- had one room left. Believe me, I did not want to pay the $149.00 room fee, but by Bay Area standards, I suppose that is par for the course. The hotel is in an especially gritty part of , generally, gritty Hayward (I saw a ****** in short pants (the weather was frosty) standing right outside the motel. However, the motel's clientele all appeared to be law abiding citizens - for instance, many contractors/trade union folks. My room was spacious and immaculate. Also, I had my little doggie - the room fee was a very reasonable $10. The breakfast was just cold cereal, a bit of fruit, and coffee/tea. In conclusion, I would not hesitate to stay there again.
MMiss_Sassy11/29/20 I came here for work and needed a hotel where I can park my box truck. The bed and bathroom was clean. The bed was very comfortable as I got a good nights rest. Ahmed, was the receptionist and he was very helpful. Greatest customer service I’ve ever received from red roof hotels. Thank you!
GGuest UserHello everyone, I am very comfortable with my stay. There is a very good cleaning service, everything is very good, ample parking lots, very quiet, they have an ice machine, the rooms are very good 👍

RRelax629345The person at the front is rude and unhappy, the pool is a cesspool, the room smelled of mold (or something foul), the entire place is generally poorly kept, our fan made more noise that the TV, the cooler blew particles into the air and the bed was as hard as the floor. You can buy illegal drugs across the street or get rid of your extra money if you want by giving it to the aggressive panhandlers there. The place had an overall very creepy vibe about. Above all of that we were afraid to touch anything for fear of contamination from that deadly virus--we had to get the hell outa there and checked out shortly afterwards with no possibility of any refund--what a scam! I booked online after seeing all of the very nice fotos of the place and skipped over the written reviews to my dismay.. I can't understand why the place hasn't been boarded up!
