I'm sure some of the rooms here are very nice, but though mine was ”superior” (according to Wyndham), it wasn't one of the very nice ones. It was in a wing of the complex accessed through a maze, overlooking the parking lot on one side, and with a window to the dining area on another.
The dining area window was interesting in the morning when I, in my underwear, opened the shutters to let in some light and discovered a crowd having breakfast.
Other things that contribute to a subpar experience: bathroom sink that didn't drain, no convenient outlets next to the bed for charging, no light switch next to the bed, confusingly placed wall switches, uninteresting TV channel selection. Bar closed at 9? 10? too early anyway.
Breakfast was nice, in a nice, though small, corner of a room. The older part of the building is beautiful. Pleasant outdoor porch seating areas.
A Courtyard is a Courtyard, all with the same formula. We have started to need accessible rooms in the last year. We booked the Courtyard after trying the J W Adams and a Greensboro hotel on two previous visits. The room was clean, as was the entire property. (The pool was closed for repair.) However, this accessible room only had a handrail behind the toilet, which was useless to us. When we discussed this with the front desk, we were offered a raised toilet seat with arms. Though this worked, is far from ideal. Apparently all the accessible rooms have this same design. High Point seems to be an expensive lodging market. Courtyard seems to be on the premium end of that market. Due to our circumstances, it seems a waste to pay a premium for a compromise.

In our last visit to High Point, we were seeking a hotel that meets my wife's cleanliness standards, but that is more affordable than hotels actually situated in High Point. (High Point hotels seems to be a higher priced market.) We also need an accessible room. And, on this trip, we needed a second room for additional family. Both rooms were clean and decent. My only complaint is that accessible rooms are located at the end pf the corridor farthest removed from the elevators. Guests with mobility issues face a long walk from the elevator. A strange design decision... Breakfast was decent and quite adequate. Sorry we weren't there on bacon day!
I am a platinum-level Marriott member. I have stayed at over a dozen Fairfield Inn & Suites across the U.S., including another one in North Carolina on this same trip. There was an issue at this hotel. The toilet in my bathroom was plugged. The lady at the front desk told me that the maintenance man had gone home for the day. She said that she would come up to my room to take a look. I suggested that she bring a plunger and that I would try to fix the problem myself. She agreed. I waited for over half-an-hour. When I called back, I was surprised to find out that she had gone home (her shift had ended). So, no one knew about my problem. Eventually, the staff brought up a plunger to my room. I fixed the problem myself. About an hour later, a manager called to apologize and even offered to put Marriott Bonvoy points into my account as compensation. Otherwise, the hotel is an average Fairfield Inn. The room was clean, it included a microwave and a small refrigerator. There is a complimentary breakfast, which includes hot and cold foods, as well as a small amount of fresh fruit. Despite the issues with the customer service, this N.C. Fairfield Inn was actually about 40% more expensive (for the same sized room) than the one I had spent the night previously in Charlotte. The price difference is difficult to justify.
Nothing disappointed about our stay here for a wedding in the area. The room was clean and comfy. The beds and pillows were amazing and provided a great nights sleep. The location is also very convenient and easy to get in and out. The breakfast was possibly the best we’ve had at a Hampton. There was a large selection of yogurts (brands and flavors) which isn’t typical. Also fresh cut fruit (truly fresh…not frozen or whole). The smoked ham was really good and fresh, and the selection of cereal boxes was also good. Didn’t see much staff to be honest. When we checked in, nobody was at the front desk. When we got back from the wedding, nobody was still there. And when we ate breakfast, nobody was there then either. But it wasn’t a problem. We used the app to check in and out. We would stay here again if in the area.

The tub would not hold the water inside the tub. The refrigerator didn’t work at all and manager was very rude when asked about switching to another room she was very snappy and would not let me speak to the owner about the issues. Also there was a roach on the door as I was entering the room. Will not be back and I advise anyone else to look elsewhere for a comfortable stay
