I was tremendously impressed with the overall appearance and aesthetics of the resort. However, they had some issues that I was assured that they were addressing. Great rooms, great restaurants to choose from, and championship golf course. Saw a variety of wildlife on my morning walk. I hope to go again real soon.
The town lost power in the middle of the night and the hotels fire-suppression system lost pressure, triggering an alarm which the hotel staff tried and failed to deactivate for over two hours. I ended up leaving, because not only was it damagingly loud... i didn't feel safe there, knowing they had no fire safety equipment. The owner of the hotel refused my request for a refund because ”I left of my own volition” If I had stayed and there had been a fire in the building during the night, I would have had no way of knowing. I could have burned up in my bed because ”state fire code doesn't require a backup generator” Honestly, if this is the standard of safety and customer care of Super and the Wyndham group hotels, I think we can all afford to find other accomodations. An air BNB would have been infinitely safer, and no doubt more considerate. OR just make sure your hotel is over 75 feet tall, so they are required by the state to meet a minimum standard of safety.

Excellent stay at this hotel. Friendly staff, very attentive, VERY clean facility. Nice indoor pool, outdoor deck. So many amenities, homemade cookies, snacks, and a nice included breakfast. They offered cereal, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, egg white omelets, sausage gravy and biscuits, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, and much more. We highly recommend this place right off of I-79, Exit 77.
Roaches, dirty!! Upon arrival when my wife went to check-in the person working the front desk came out of his office and my wife noticed the office was a hot mess (clue #1 the room probably would not look any better). Unfortunately wife left her phone in car so couldn’t take a picture of it. Upon arrival at room 124 the door to the room was open (clue #2 the room looked like the office). Upon entry to the room wife observed dead roaches and other unknown dead bugs (clue #3 the room was like the office). Wife went turn light on in bathroom and it didn’t work and using her flashlight on phone took a picture of dirty tub (clue #3.. nasty like office). Unfortunately wife arrived at undesired hotel at 8:00 pm, tired from driving, traveling with 2 dogs and son so didn’t want to relocate to another hotel. Wife turned lights off, kept the TV on, laid on top of the sheets of the bed. Well when lights went out the alive roaches came out, which the dogs were even disturbed by the roaches. Wife couldn’t sleep and departed undesired hotel at 4:00 am to continue her drive to her final destination. Long story short, if lobby/office is a hot mess the room probably is not much better.
We think this was a wonderful place to stay after a long hard drive in bad rain in WV. This Hampton was very nice, and clean with a wonderful atmosphere and decor. We were graciously welcomed by the general manager. He was so helpful. He suggested a fantastic Mexican restaurant across the street. It was beautiful and the food was great! I loved the house sangria. The area was a safe, hometown, quiet, kind of place to be. Our room was very clean, and it had everything we needed. Breakfast was tasty and surpassed most motel breakfasts.
