Stayed here with family because my mom said she use to enjoy coming here 15-20 years ago. I wasn't really sure, but relented. Our trip was really to go to Yosemite, so it was actually quite a drive (an hour) from the hotel). The hotel itself have very strict protocols when it comes to COVID. They take your temperature before you come in, as well as have to show your ID before you enter the elevator taking you to your room. The good? 1) The hotel room itself was comfortable with the needed amenities. It was clean, and the AC worked well. 2) Wifi was good 3) Nice views. The bad? 1) the check-in process. It really took forever. Not sure of the check-in person was inexperienced or what, but waiting for 30 minutes was not cool at all. 2) the security at the elevator checking your IDs. The security was very rude to a point that when I said hi or thank you, she didn't even acknowledge. I think she was just in a bad mood. She asked for my ID, and as I was fumbling with my luggages, she appeared impatient. When I showed her my ID, she said, ”put it down so I can see it”. I'm like whoa, this better be not a hotel staff. The other security guards were good. But I will not forget this particular one. 3) The smoke filled ******. And yes, you can't escape it, but it was so nauseating that I decided not to gamble.and head back to my room - hoping and praying it's not the rude security guard. 4) the restaurant. The Mexican place I wanted to eat at was not only closed, but with my elderly/handicapped mom walking from the hotel to the restaurant, it was a challenge. Not seeing any signs, we wasted our time walking there. It was closed. The Asian Noodle place next to it was good, but the wait was over an hour. The ugly? I would not come back to this place just because of that security guard. Gosh, she was really in a bad mood. That's the ugliest thing ever.

I reviewed this Motel on Tripadvisor due to the rate and reviews I felt confident staying at this facility. As a result of my stay, 23 May-25 May I no longer have confidence in Tripadvisor. On the front door of Oakhurst Lodge is a Tripadvisor decal. At check-in I inquired about a booking fee I was charged at the Oakhurst Lodge website. This had never occurred before when using Tripadvisor. I asked the location of the ice machine, only at this time I was told there was no functioning ice machine. Due to ants and a stale smoke odor, in a non-smoking, room I was provided another room. The room had frayed carpeting, paint spots over areas on the walls and where the lavatory counter was repaired, bathroom door was damaged from something hitting it. The outside chairs provided for the room were stained, upholstery torn with exposed foam padding. The picture of room posted on Tripadvisor gives someone considering booking this lodging a FALSE impression. One positive for Oakhurst lodge the bathroom except the window sill, lavatory, microwave, mini refrigerator and bed linens were clean. The beds linens were clean. The beds did not appear as nice as the picture displayed on Tripadvisor. I did share my concerns and that I would be writing a review about my stay with the recommendation to others to NOT stay here. The front desk person was polite and seemed receptive to my concerns. There are other places to stay in Oakhurst that provide better breakfast, a workout room, larger, better maintain rooms for about $10.00/night more. Beware of the Oakhurst Lodge.
rooms were big. pool was big and clean. Breakfast was ok, but breakfast room VERY SMALL and overcrowded. good location before heading down to Yosemite, approx 1.5 hr to Yosemite valley. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby
It was a nice experience. The food was really good at the restaurant and the service even better. It was obviously fully booked since it is the highest season for the surroundings, but that didn’t affected the good service and attitude of the staff. We were very satisfied!
The room is nice, cozy & clean plus the fact that it is affordable. We loved the sauna. Front desk staff & the one assigned in breakfast are friendly too. They are very accommodating. The only comment I have in the room is the round chair in front of the dresser, it’s not sturdy enough to sit on it.
This was a last minute stay and we struggled to find a room available. I’m so glad there was availability here. Our stay was comfortable, the rooms were clean, the mattress is firm, and the service was friendly. What more could we ask? The morning breakfast is simple; bagels, toast, oatmeal and Starbucks coffee. My only complaints are the soap bar felt like I was using chalk and the towels are scratchy. There is also no elevator. All in all, I would definitely recommend.
The location of the hotel is far from Yosemite Park, about an hour's drive away. The hotel facilities are relatively new, clean and comfortable, the service staff is very good, and there are many types of breakfast. Compared with the accommodation near the park, the price performance ratio is higher

Outstanding
MMeander03908917782We spent 4 nights here in Early Nov. and we had such a great experience! Our large 1 bdrm cabin was spacious and clean and had room to stretch out on a nice sofa with a coffee table. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics and there is even a really great sounding Bluetooth speaker. We loved the little desk area for plotting our travels in Yosemite. The welcome card has great little QR codes with links to sightseeing, local restaurants, and even a list of all the items you can find in their camp store. There were some vintage Saturday Evening Post magazines from the 60’s that were fun to flip through while sitting on our deck and enjoying a beverage from the adorable little camp store on the property. The little store has such a great curated selection of snacks and beverages and sundries and lots of little items that you might have forgotten to pack! We had beautiful weather (70’s day/40’s night) and we took advantage of the lovely hiking trails on the property and we used the complimentary bikes on the paved pathways that wind around the property beyond the clubhouse. They have several really interesting large sculptures and art pieces scattered around the grounds along the pathways to keep things interesting too! We saw so much wildlife on our excursions (even a cute little bobcat) and at night there was an amazing concert at the intimate little clubhouse music venue! The event was even catered with delicious dinner options and there is a bar with super friendly tenders keeping the party going during and after the show. Everything is really well thought out and organized and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!
Yyqm18708627568There were three of us staying in the room; Two adults and a ten-year old child. When we checked in the woman at the office was quick to tell us she had to put towels in the room. We waited then it took 2 or 3 trips back to the office to finally get 3 towels. Our room had only half a roll of toilet paper. I went to the office and asked for more and she gave more when she gave me the towels. There is no cell phone service and no phones in the room. To talk to the front desk requires walking or driving to the office. The TV didn’t work. We went to get her and she said she’d fix it while we were out to dinner. That never happened. “No signal” was all that shown on the screen. Pushing on all the buttons on the remote control didn’t help. When it came time for showers, we discovered we had no wash cloths. Because the office was closed and we couldn’t find the woman we used the kitchen towel for a wash cloth. The office driveway was gated and a car had parked blocking entrance the rest of the day. At check-in the woman was quick to tell us she was proud she had put clean sheets on the fold-out sofa bed. When the time came for bed, we found one pillow in the closet but no pillow case. Oh well. We had to use one of our t-shirts as a pillow case. On a shelf in the bedroom nightstand was a large ring of master keys for all buildings (?). The A/C doesn’t cool the cottage. It ran all afternoon and the temperature got down to 85 degrees which is better than 95 degrees outdoors in mid-June. We carry our own thermometer. When the sun went down the room lowered to 83 degrees. We opened all the windows and the refrigerator and freezer doors to cool it down to 81 degrees where it stayed all night. The cabin had a coffee pot and coffee but no cream, and no one in the office to ask. To get cream for the coffee in the morning was a 30 minute round-trip drive to the nearest Valero gas station and market. No decaf coffee either, so another drive to Oakhurst. Their Facebook and Yelp pages advertise as “Bed and Breakfast”. That’s not true. Bring your own breakfast or go to a restaurant. We have stayed here in years past several times and enjoyed it, but these incompetencies are probably the result of new ownership and new management. For $ 280 a night you’d expect more.
SSlo-LjuStephanie greeted us at check in, she noticed there were 4 of us and immediately offered an upgrade to a 2-queen top floor suite. She was friendly, welcoming and very nice. Being an IHG Spire member I am often upgraded to suites, however this suite must have been one of the most spacious in any HIE I have ever stayed at. Everything was clean and in great shape, which is no wonder since the hotel was completely renovated two years ago. We went to refresh in the pool, which was being cleaned by the maintenance gentleman. He later brought pool towels and was friendly and curteous, too. Breakfast in the morning was actually ready before posted time, the vast majority of the guests that night were workers, who obviously required an early start. Being an older property in original design meant the breakfast room was somewhat small and got full immediately. Luckily, there was additional (multi-purpose) seating available in the lobby just outside breakfast room. All in all a great stay, I will gladly visit again.
LLansehuoxing2019I chose this hotel on the way to Yosemite. It is a typical motel. It is not bad to stay for one night. The room is clean and there is breakfast. The air conditioner is particularly loud.
I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff was welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and super friendly. We loved staying in the cabin which made it a more unique and outdoor experience, with all the comforts you would need. The restaurant on site is absolutely superb and delicious, and the wine bar, is very cozy and cute, which is just above the river. It was a truly unique and lovely stay and we would love to come back one day.
