The last time I stayed at this hotel was in June when I had an appointment at a nearby medical building. At that time, I had difficulty showering in the morning because the lower border of the shower directed water out into the hotel room instead of back into the shower. I used every towel in the bathroom to try to mop up the mess on the bathroom floor and ran to keep my appointment. As I approached the room where my appointment was, I heard another woman explaining that she was late because of the same problem with the shower in her hotel room. When visiting the hotel this week, I was happy to see that the bathroom was remodeled with a sturdy class door leading to the shower. Unfortunately this time I struggled with water temperature and finally resorted to taking a lukewarm shower. The front desk sent a man to look at the hot water problem and her suggested that I run the water for 5 to 10 minutes before showering. The problems with showering are unfortunate because this is a lovely hotel, clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and quiet. The staff are polite and ready to help. Since I am visiting the area for medical appointments, it is important that I bathe before the appointments and this has been a bit of a problem during my two stays at this hotel. I would try staying at this hotel one more time because I believe it has the potential to be a hotel deserving of a higher rating.
I stay for three nights over the past week. This is a older high rise hotel in a great location relative to downtown and to Yale. I would have given a 3.5 star rating if I could have. Everything was passable - not great. The front desk staff (with the exception of the late night staff) did not seem proud of there hotel or happy to greet you as a guest. At no point did they seem to go beyond the minimum level or interaction or service. The water pitcher in the lobby is filled a couple of times a day but seems to sit empty for hours with the fruit in the bottom - in plain view of the front desk. Another example - on checkout after after 2 nights, the attendant asked me “how was my stay?” I said “uh, fair.’ No further comment reply or question from the attendant. Made it seem like they didnt care very much. The rooms were clean and nice. Linens very good. About what you should expect from a large chain hotel. The building itself is beautiful and worth a little time exploring. Dont miss the staircase to the second floor. The best art was the 19th floor lounge. The view and service was wonderful there - old school service and vibe. I tip my cap to the bartenders there. Especiallly the gentleman who worked the late shift on 2/17/23 - Best part of the stay.
The room is new and clean. The location is also very good, only a five-minute walk from the old campus of Yale University. You can reach the chapel by walking along Hight Road and crossing two intersections. I am very satisfied with the hotel. The only drawback is that the parking fee is too expensive, $39 per night, while Ctrip recommended $25, and it is valet parking, which is really inconvenient to use a car.

First of all, the location of the hotel is very good. There are many restaurants to eat in the front and back of the main road at the door. It is also very close to walking to various places of the university. Secondly, although the hotel lobby is not big, but set a lot of comfortable sofas, the layout is very warm, when I went, it happened to be during the mold match, the players from all countries were there to discuss warmly, there was a computer in the hall, I saw that people often used it, Sometimes it is really needed. Although the room is not big, it is not cramped. I have set a big bed room. The bed is very comfortable. I don’t know if I don’t feel that I need to get jet lag. Is it a credit to the bed? There is a long desk in the room, which is just convenient for me to deal with some work every night. There is a heating cabinet next to the sofa. It looks not good, but it is very practical. In this snowy day, I will twist and dry the small items that need to be washed and put on it. It will be dried the next day. It will be dried before changing clothes. It will be warmed up. I unlocked the new function. The service is just right, will not disturb me, will not be too enthusiastic, but when there is a need, can help in time, clean the room regularly every day, change towels, etc. (I saw some comments that foreign hotels do not provide these services every day after check-in)
The breakfast is complete with meat, egg, milk, convenient parking, and the kitchen is complete with tableware and kitchenware, which is great for cooking! Equipped with a small gym, treadmill, elliptical machine and bicycle each.
The Graduate at New Haven has a great friendly professional staff team who were courteous and helpful. Everything is kept very clean and efficiently run. Be aware that there is no restaurant in the hotel, only a cafe. That is probably the only drawback, but there are plenty of other places to eat located very close by.
I just returned from spending 2 of my free night awards. Many hotels will assign the worst room when paying this way and this was definitely not the case here. Due to all the negative reviews I read, I was a bit nervous and called the hotel and spoke to a couple of people. They were very honest about what to expect. In fact, although it could use an update, the room was just fine (and I'm picky) and totally immaculate. I had white socks on and my socks were just as white walking around the room. Actually, I was shocked that it was so clean and there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere. Now to the best part, the staff. They are wonderful and extremely friendly and helpful. There never was a shortage of staff either. Every person I encountered had a smile on their face and couldn't be happier to help. I enjoyed just chatting with them. I only gave the Courtyard 4 stars instead of 5 because the rooms are not that large , they charge for parking and basic toiletries are provided. We found the location convenient for walking around during both day and evening. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
The Hotel Marcel was quite Modern and very aesthetically pleasing! Upon arrival, I could tell this hotel was full of charm and personality. I especially enjoyed my stay in a corner suite with a King bed. The bathroom was very luxurious and I felt as though it was something out of a magazine. Overall, my stay was very comfortable and affordable.
If I had one gripe it would be that the interior of the room was very dim in lighting even when the lights were fully on (touch censored lighting was available). I wish more light was able to be in the room.

Yale University Art Gallery
系系统错误提示Yale University Art Gallery is the oldest university art museum in the Western Hemisphere, founded in 1832. It is famous for its collection of early art masterpieces. Most of the works come from donations, which also reflects the large number of wealthy families at Yale University and their love for Yale University. Figure 2 is a Syrian mural carving from more than 3,000 years ago. Shocking, after zooming in, you can see that the text carving on it is really a beautiful record. Figure 5 is a wooden carving of Jesus Christ from the 15th century. The expression is lifelike, and the folds of the ropes and clothes are so realistic. The 16th-century safe, the inlaid carvings on the drawers are small, complex and textured. Free to visit, highly recommended!

New Haven Green
广广州中奖小锦鲤Yale Central Park is also called New Haven Green, a very famous small park. The coverage area of this green area is still quite large. It feels good to go in and the negative ion index is also high. People are also more spiritual, looking around, surrounded by old campus, but parking here is not particularly convenient.
Yale Peabody Museum
小小思文The Natural History Museum is really a big landscape. It has collected many dinosaur fossil varieties from all over the world. The interior of this museum is also very large. You can feel many large-scale dinosaur fossils here.

New Haven City Hall
3358***33New Haven's City Hall is located on the side of the Greenland Square in downtown. It is a very grand building that can be visited. There is no doorman to open the door. This is a common practice of the United States government agencies. Is it also a role to supervise the government?
New Haven Museum
RRiverBlueThe museum of the city is in the university. The university and the city have been integrated. The museum introduces the history of the city and the university. The exhibits are also good. The pictures and texts are also statues. Although not big, they are beautiful.
