This place had been on my list for years. We were in the area and finally got to go. We went in the afternoon. The fancy pink restaurant isn’t open at that time but you are able to tour the grounds on your own. We walked around and took pictures. The pink is unreal and everywhere. It’s eccentric and feels like you’re in Alice and Wonderland or Barbie Land. There’s a gift shop upstairs where you can buy the goblets. There’s a gift shop downstairs and a restroom. Go into the restrooms. The eccentric details are even there. The men’s bathroom has a waterfall urinal. The women’s bathroom has beautiful details. On the main floor we had lunch at the Copper Cafe. It was good food. Service was great. Order the world famous Pink Champagne cake. I’m not even a fan of cake and I enjoyed it. This place was definitely a highlight of our visit to the Pismo area.

This is a family-run motel with rooms that open to the balconies or the parking lot. It is located on the edge of downtown SLO, close to the exit from Highway 101. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Rooms are clean. Plenty of towels and hot water. Housekeeping service every day. They even maintained this service during the pandemic! Showers, no bathtubs. Refrigerator and microwave and coffee service in the rooms. No elevator. Coffee and snacks are available in the office. There is a gas station across Marsh street with an extensive selection of food and drink. Headstrong gym, a very well-equipped training facility, is across the street at the back. You can get daily access for $20. This is a pleasant, affordable space to stay.

San Luis Creek Lodge is lovely with chic decor accents, gorgeous bath products, and a super comfy bed. We love the attention to detail and the immaculate state of the room and grounds. Our room was super quiet and parking was easy and convenient. It’s a short drive to downtown and campus and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful. We’d definitely stay here again!

We picked this place on the road and didn't know a thing about it. It looked so quaint from the outside that it peaked my curiosity. It was wonderful! Very old fashioned with a claw foot tub in the bathroom an old safe as an end table. The staff is pleasant an keeps the place clean. Breakfast was simple fare of fruit, pastries, juice and coffee. You could also have what they called a breakfast pizza but we don't eat much so we opted out. You will truly enjoy your stay here.

I am very disappointed in our stay. This was our first staycation after getting married and we’re looking forward to a cute hotel with a bakery and quaint rooms. At around 3:30am the power went out and it got extremely hot in the room. Also, we were on the lower level underneath the lobby which means we didn’t have good windows. It just had a full fenced staircase which means it was pitch black because the sun wasn’t coming through. We had plans for the day and needed to get dressed, ready, put makeup on and do my hair to dress up and couldn’t get ready at all since outlets didn’t work and again, it was pitch black. my husband even tripped trying to move around since it was so dark. We partially booked this place for the nice bakery breakfast spot, and it was closed because of the outage. What we paid for we didn’t get. Also, there was no communication. We didn’t know anything was closed or that there was a hotel wide power outage until we went up to ask what was going on. In top of all of that, we also booked this place for the pool and hot tub. Once we went to go to the pool and hot tub, we realized it was out of service. So we couldn’t use that either. We asked for some sort of a discount or compensation for our room since it was not at all what we paid for and we were told no, they wouldn’t do anything. Last night before bed we said we loved this place and would totally come back but after the bad customer service and lack of compensation for not getting what we paid for, we will be staying at the neighboring hotels unless they get back to us and make this right.
Our stay at Hotel Cerro was fantastic! We had a beautiful garden view room with the best patio, which was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the serene atmosphere. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The on-site restaurant was also a highlight of our stay—every meal was delicious, with fresh ingredients and impeccable service. We especially loved the laid-back and charming vibe of San Luis Obispo. The little town has such a cute, friendly atmosphere, and everyone we met was so kind and laid-back. We can’t wait to come back for another perfect getaway!

GGuest UserFront service was good. The room that I stayed, AC was nice and cool except it had very loud noice all night ,so we cannot sleep very well. Bathroom had a lot of dust in the corner of the bathroom. Beds and pillows were comfy. Overall for me, it’s ok to stay except AC sound in my room that was very loud.
GGuest UserThe suites are large: a living room area and a separate bedroom. Ours had two TVs, a microwave, a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. But the real selling point is there is a wonderful free breakfast daily from 6:30 to 9:30am. The cafe and outside tables allow for plenty of room to enjoy the wide variety of breakfast items, including egg dishes prepared to order. The cafe staff are uniformly friendly. Also from 5:30 to 7:30pm there if Happy Hour in the bar. Beer and wine are free. Sit in the bar or sit out by the pool. If you want a quick hot dog or burger, a barbecue is available and the prices for that food are nominal. The hotel is right off the 101 on Monterey St, which goes right down to the old downtown section. I can't say enough good things about this operation and it is the only place we stay when we visit San Luis Obispo. I have to assume that the management of this hotel knows what they are doing and seems to have employees who are happy and service oriented.
卢卢This hotel lived on the way back to LA on the first road, originally thought it was a little better than the motel, but when I arrived, I felt that it was much better than the Best in San Francisco a few days ago. First of all, the room was much larger, and the breakfast was better than that. Rich and cost-effective!
WWanderer16714249805The Sunbeam Motel is an outdoing value when visiting SLO. The room was very comfortable, and while basic, was super clean and provided a microwave, fridge with separate freezer compartment, coffee maker, desk, great TV, and 2 comfy queen beds, all for less than $90. We were in room 12 at the back of the property on the ground floor, so it was pretty quiet. Walkable to restaurants and bars. Hope to stay again soon!
BBiciFanThis is not my first review of the Wayfarer SLO. The facilities, room, and staff are great. After several visits, the reason for pause continues to be the breakfast. The hotel charges full bore for a breakfast that is very mediocre. The food quality is not on par with the ambiance of the hotel, and neither is the dining room service. Coffee refills while dining? Sure, if you pay for it. Come on, really? (BTW, each time I have paid 18-20% tip, which is done before the food is served.) Going forward, we will be skipping the hotel breakfast and going to a real restaurant. There are several solid options in area. The Del Monte Cafe is a 5 minute drive and well worth the price.
Our stay at Motel 6 wasn't too bad, but it wasn't anything special either. The room had the basic amenities and was alright for just one night, but I would prefer to stay elsewhere next time. The room was a bit cold too and I would prefer it if the bed had a proper quilt instead of an old-fashioned blanket covered by a white sheet. Also, there was no shower gel or shampoo, just soap and there was some noise coming from the bathroom ventilation. At least there was plenty of parking available.
22012000756Did not take photos, the location of the hotel is OK, on the side of the No. 1 highway, using domestic navigation software is very easy to find, the hotel is relatively quiet, there is a big shopping center across the road, there is a gas station next to the hotel, the same There is a chain restaurant in the yard. I use the room card to check out 20% discount. I ate it. I am very satisfied. I can't eat this Western food at the same price in Beijing. There is a free parking lot, and if you arrive early, the car can be parked at the door of your own room. Room facilities are general, the room is not big, I feel that the extra bed must move the big bed, but I don’t know if there is an extra bed service in the hotel. The bed is 1.5 meters wide and just fits 2 people to sleep. The covered quilt is a blanket and there is a blanket below. The big sheets are similar to the way hotels in China were more than a decade ago. Although there are two-package clauses at the time of booking, the breakfast is very simple. Just put a juice machine and coffee machine on the side of the front desk, a snack box, a small fruit bowl, and stand there to eat a snack mat. I am embarrassed to eat too much. This hotel is still ok for a night of walking. I lived on weekends. The price has doubled. If the price is around 400 yuan, the price is still very high.
WWilsonMonicaThis establishment has the most amazing staff who are so accommodating, kind, and compassionate. Each and every one of them go out of their way to make sure it's guests every need with a smile. They had just done some remodeling and the rooms are beautiful and clean. They have the most amazing hot tub which you can see below pictured. It is unlike any other in the area and absolutely beautiful with their two waterfalls and big enough to have a party in. They give you the feeling it's like one big family. I feel welcomed and cared for. They definitely leave the lights it more importantly ... The genuinely leave their smiles on! I have yet to see anyone without a smile here. Including fellow guests. Thank you Rose Garden In
KKakakaka_CappuccinoI chose a small town that is more than an hour's drive from the hotel. The price is good. There is free parking and breakfast. The location is right next to the highway, and there are many restaurants nearby. The room is large and the heating is very good. There is a small swimming pool in the hotel.
GGuest User1) my first room’s temp control didn’t wor. I had to repack and go to another room.
2)Room card kept erasing and had to go beck to the desk and get it reloaded
3)lamp on the desk didn’t work.
4) black around the tub caulking.
5)first morning only a couple of muffins. Desk said they expect another delivery soon. No juice. Second morning nothing for breakfast. No compensation.
5) very noisy. Walls are thin. Young adults screaming and yelling parting. 1 o’’’ clock in the morning men outside the room talking loudly we’re as I could here every thing being said. Didn’t want to get dressed and go in the hallway to tell them to shut up. No sleep.
