"Hotel location was very convenient, staff was friendly, accommodations were clean. One disappointment was excessive addition of fees and taxes on my credit card. I booked through a third party booking sight for convenience and cost. I did anticipate the additional fee of using the hotels parking garage, however I was verry displeased with all of the other additional charges added. I knew parking was $50 a day, I did not used any other amenities through the hotel, i.e.: breakfast, television, room service, however I was charged an additional $277 for an accommodation fee, occupancy fee, destination fee, ect... I did address this numerous times with the front desk, and was assured only necessary charges would be added, the rest would drop off. Overall, the accommodations were pleasant. However, we will not be returning due to excessive additional fees"
"I feel like there is zero value here. I paid a ridiculous amount of money and got a dirty coffee machine( the water holding compartment was full of some flakey stuff), a dirty sink, no toiletries, and a banged up and super loud a/c. The staff however were super nice! However, I will never stay here again as I paid $900 for two nights stay, and the rooms are just standard rooms. I could have stayed anywhere for that kind of money. One of the fees was a “destination” fee for $25. Yay! I arrived. Charge me money?"
"Great hotel. You can use the valet parking ($50) or a public parking just across the street ($5).
The hotel is beautiful, cleaning, offers a good breakfast."
"The hotel is really nice, though a bit hard to find. Beautiful interior decorating, including our room: the Clark Gable. The best thing about the hotel is the location: easy walking distance to The Vault, Foxy Foxy, other eateries. Not far from the park. The main drawback for the Clark Gable room was the problem of air conditioning. The room has a room air conditioner which exhausts through a window. At night it is loud though the hotel owners thoughtfully provided ear plugs. But the problem is that even if you turn the AC down to 72%, it could not cool the room on a not very warm September night. Both my wife and I woke up early sweating because the room was too hot and muggy. Other guests say the temperature was great in the main building, so if we return we will get a room there. "
"The Card was swiped more than twice for security deposit with two different Credit Cards. However, Hotel system did not show the correct amount. USD 200 + USD 200 + USD 100 was deducted from the cards and hotel was not aware of this extra transaction. Finally Miss Dawn could locate it. She was kind to give some credits as well."
"Wow, how to begin. The hotel and rooms are quite beautiful and the never ending view along the river with the almost constant movement of gigantic ships, is mesmerized. The location is also perfect with enough restaurants and shops within close proximity that you can find plenty to keep occupied even on the occasional rainy day. Now, with all that said, a caveat to any travelers wanting any semblance of rest. The second floor rooms are pure nightmare. There appears to be some sort of a supply room on that floor. The staff likes to use it for rather loud gossip and partying and when not in use by the staff, there apparently is a bowling league practice in there! The noise from tables and chairs and dishes being moved around at times even late into the night is just aggregating! The walls offer absolutely NO help in reducing the racket. Would we return to River Street Inn again? YES! As a matter of fact, we can't wait to return but, only if we would be guaranteed a room on the 4th or 5th floor! "
"I made reservations then called the hotel to Badger sure they had them.”Lady A” answered the phone, she was just as polite on the phone as she was in person, she checked us in upon our arrival.
We had a leak in the bathroom that was wetting the carpet, informed David at the front desk he immediately phoned Zach in house services and within minutes he was at our door. Zach observed what was happening and immediately moved us to another room, and provided us with complimentary parking which was a huge plus.
The hotel is close to the square and the riverfront which we enjoyed the proximity of everything. Only used our car to go to Walmart and The Outlets. Will definitely visit again, Customer service was A1."
"This hotel has the most friendliest staff. I love the rooms and the French doors in the King suite. The happy hour, along with wine samples, is a great touch! There's only two things that I would like to change,. Since your hotel is pet friendly, please keep the guest with pets on the first floor where they have better access to outdoor. No pets should be allowed around the dining area, or where food is served. This location is idea for getting to restaurants and shopping."

TtothmariaBeautiful well decorated place. Lovely to have water and coffee available. Very nice to have wine and cheese platters HOWEVER, we arrived at 6:35, checked in 6:38 and we were unable to get the wine or cheese. It was literally being packed away as we were checking in. It was so disappointing that they could not salvage a couple of glasses for us. Nice to be able to walk to the river and purchase our drinks.
GGuest UserWe were able to check in an hour early. The room was clean and comfortable with a good location. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We especially enjoyed the rooftop pool and breakfast.
GGuest UserWe booked the trip on Trip.com, prepaying. Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District charged us twice. We live in Florida. As soon as I realized this. I sent receipts and screenshots. I’ve been getting the run around from management for the past 4 days..Still no refund. Still no response from the different managers we’ve been told to call back to speak to..Keep calling back to see if he/ she is in.(Paul Komanecky or Lindsey Davis) We are very disappointed with the lack of customer service from management. We just want our money. The hotel was indeed paid twice…Is this normal?
AAnonymous UserThe service at the front desk was excellent: friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms were better than expected. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Clean.
The parking lot was on multiple levels attached to the hotel. So if you are living on the 5th floor then you could park on the 5th floor and use your room key to enter the hotel on the 5th floor. The location was ok, but not really close to any of the main attractions of Savannah. You will need to drive around 15-20 minutes to go to the main areas.
AAnonymous UserGREAT STAFF! We were not aware of Savannah'a HUGE St Patrick's Day celebration and arrived to a city overflowing...but everyone was very helpful and made it possible for us to extend our stay. Our room was spacious and well appointed but the AC unit was very noisy and so close to the bed that we froze when it ran. The bed was comfy. The bathroom fixtures were ”loose” - needed some simple repairs and the elevator floor has some damaged tiles, but we would recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserI was given the room key for an occupied room, the room I received was not cleaned thoroughly . My 4 year old found half full water bottle by the bed, there was no hand soap we made due with the body wash in the shower and the toilet ran all night. The room I originally received a room key for about 2 hours later another person was given the same occupied room. The poor people in room 310, I am sure they were more than annoyed. The breakfast was ok. The front staff were very nice. I have deft had better stays, but it was not a disaster.
MMatt SteinbergerThe room was a great size. Had a seperate couch/tv desk viewing area and a private back bedroom. The only concern was clear mildew/mold issues that went unchecked for what I assume weeks or months. I asked to swap rooms and was promptly switched to another room. Better, but still not completely mold free. It’s a humid environment, but I wouldn’t even sleep in my own house if it got that bad.
I don’t know if the hotel will make changes but clearly look out for mold in your room if you stay here
GGuest UserWhen I went there was St Patrick's Day holiday, the annual tourist season, the hotel was about 300 yuan more expensive than usual. The hotel is not equipped with breakfast and slippers, and you can find food nearby. It costs $67 (about 490 RMB) to take a taxi from the airport here.
