It's 10PM and I'm arriving in Shreveport for my dad's surgery in the morning. I called the Hilton to confirm that the hotel knew I was arriving late, and I was informed by the front desk clerk that they were oversold and did not have a room for me, but that they would walk me down the street to another hotel that was used for their overflow. I asked if it was equivalent to the Hilton in ratings. The answer was no. The reviews for the other location were terrible. When I asked why I was not notified that they had no rooms, the desk clerk responded that the day shift must have been busy. So was I!! I told him I was not comfortable with the ratings of the other hotel and their reviews for cleanliness were not good. I asked if there were other options? The response was, ”No, but if you want to cancel I can refund your money.” I told him that was really nice - especially since they didn't have a room for me. Seriously?!?!!!! Done with Hilton. I frequent the Omni and Hyatt for both work and pleasure weekly and never has this happened. Really disappointing and super frustrating - not to mention inconvenient as I'm trying to find another locations to stay. So much for customer service and reservations. Thank you Marriott for coming to the rescue and even offering a discount.
Steven at the bar is the best. Steven is the best thing about this place. It is still undergoing renovations and leaves much to be desired but Steven is amazing and makes all things better each night. The renovated rooms are still a mess. Mine has paint in the tub, the step for shaving is partially ripped off the wall, tiles are uneven, the lotion/soap is ripped off the wall, the paint job is a mess and the wiring shows under the mirror. The ac doesn't work great but the bed is comfy. Honestly the only reason I've stayed so long is because Steven at the bar. He's a gem and truly the best. The laundry is broken... pools still closed and the gym... it's yeah.
Boomtown.. the name alone seems to tell a story about what it is store! This was a memorable evening. We arrived into the area late - and unexpected on a Thursday. We generally just find a hotel as we enter town. However as we started searching, almost every option was sold out. This is what eventually lead us to Boomtown. We showed up and they had a double room. However as the front desk was checking us in, the double room disappeared and the only option was a king suite with jacuzzi tub. Given we really had no other options and it was late, we took the option and asked for some additional bedding for our kids to sleep on the floor. The front desk ladies were kind but you could tell they were understaffed and doing their best. The room was okay - it is dated and you can tell not much has been put into updating this hotel/casino/resort. It wasn't necessarily dirty, but it did not feel super clean either. We all chalked it up to an adventure and made the best of the evening before getting up early and leaving town. While it was not the worst stay, I would not stay here again. In fact, I would avoid Bossier City and Shreveport completely and stay elsewhere. We travel quite frequently and this was a town/city that gave us an uncomfortable/unsafe feeling. We rarely have this feeling (and we've been some places!) so when it happens, we take note.

This is a beautiful old world establishment house. It is very clean, and close to where I was visiting friends. This is my second time staying at this house and I recommend it to anyone who would like a bit of flair of the old South.
It is very well kept, with tons of amenities, and very quick check-in service. Quick response from the owner.
Thanks again John, for a wonderful stay. Hope to stay here again on my next visit to Shreveport.

Our last experience should have been our final but, we decided to give our former beloved Eldorado ****** a second chance. When reservations were made it was implied there had been some good changes to the property. It was not true. Updates and upkeep is apparently not on the agenda. The rooms remain outdated. They were just dirty and I am talking “deep dirty” that has been ignored far too long. Here are just a few examples of my hotel room experience. I spilled a glass of water and grabbed a towel to blot it up and in a matter of seconds the towel had large brown stains on it. The brown stains are left up to the imagination of what it came from. The last night of our stay my door would not open. I found housekeeping staff member to try their master key and was told the door was broken. After two phone calls to the front desk, I was put in another room and was told I was being upgraded to a suite. I could've cared less if I had an upgraded room or not. I only needed a room to sleep a few hours and the common decency of the staff in expressing their regrets that the BLASTED door couldn't be fixed. It was of no surprise the suite had not been updated and dust was prominent everywhere. We are living in epidemic times and most hotel properties have protocols in place and abide by them to ensure their guest safety. The restaurant food was not horrible. The main problem we would select an option only to learn they didn’t have it. In addition we were told they had not had selection for some time. During our stay, the steakhouse was not open. The gift shop has limited hours. The spa has limited hours and limited massage therapists. The staff at the spa were efficient and welcoming. I generally play slots vs table games. There were only a limited number of slots than what they have had in the past. Most of the slot machines were old and several machines had signs on them as inoperable. If you are a smoker there is no smoking inside the property per city ordinance. They are in process of building a “Patio” that was advertised on the flyer we received in the mail but, it has not been completed. The whole environment of this property is OFF. To say some of the staff were not customer service oriented would seem to be an exaggeration, I assure you it is not. With the name change one might think the property has been revamped. It is not. If management doesn’t get it up to the standards that most guests/players have come to expect, the outlook for this property is grim.
The front desk staff found a room for me, which after I found out a convention was in town, was a great thing. Unfortunately it seemed like I was disturbing her rather than making me seem invited. Room was ok, but the AC never turned off, which made it hard to sleep. Did not kow that Courtyard was the only division of Marriott that didn't serve breakfast, which was disappointing. Overall yes I got sleep but it cost.

Very Good
GGuest UserStaff was excellent. Room disappointing. Was put in a handicap room, which I don't think I booked and the tv didn't work. Staff was very very efficient and moved us to another room where the heater didn't work. Staff was above and beyond, breakfast was fantastic. The room was not what I expected.
GGuest UserFIRST IMPRESSIONS CAN EITHER MAKE OR BREAK ANY BUSINESS!!!! Keep reading…….. We were attending a Cornhole tournament and the selection of Sam’s Town Hotel and ****** was A WIN!!!! From the amazing customer service by Natalie at the Front Desk, who deserves recognition by Hotel Management for representing the Hotel with outstanding customer service and going beyond her duties!! Both at our check in and check out, Natalie was FIVE STAR!!!! Also, Traig, who we were lucky to have as our AWESOME Bellman, SO POLITE AND PERSONABLE!!!! We also lucked out by having his assistance as we checked in and when we checked out! He also should be recognized for his excellent attitude and being a GREAT REPRESENTATIVE of Sam’s Town Hotel! Our room was absolutely beautiful and so clean and well stocked, I highly recommend this Hotel!! My only negative experience was when I was getting my “Rewards Card”, the young man’s comment about being reimbursed for the first $300 in loss with promotions in the mail in approximately 7-10 days, just started my gambling with a NEGATIVE thought process. I think something better to welcome first time players needs to be implemented; don’t start a gamblers evening with such a negative comment!! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but may not return due to the bad feeling about gambling there! But, the Hotel was a great experience and we were very pleased!!! But, gambling, I did not get off to a great start, but I was shocked at the comment and hope this explanation gets changed to not start your guests off with Negative Vibes.
RRuth travelFirst time staying here and I’ll def come back! The front desk lady was really nice
And helpful !
The pool was great
The only thing I’ll say they need to improve is the breakfast. Food was hard and rubbery.
First off I want to thank God for placing me at the Hampton on Monkhouse drive. I had a pipe burst in my attic on January 23, 24 and through my home owners insurance, I was place there for temporary stay. I had many other things that had already happened and I was very overwhelmed, but when I tell you when I got there I felt right at home. The staff from the manager of the property on down to the housekeeping staff and the ground keepers were very nice and helpful. They displaced hospitality from the time I we were there to our departure on February 15, 24. I can’t express my gratitude enough to the staff there, they accepted me and my family. I am forever grateful to them all. If you are just looking for a hotel to just stay at, then I suggest you go somewhere else, but if you’re looking for a hotel stay to make you feel right at home, I highly recommend the Hampton on monkhouse drive, thank you all again for your warmth.
GGuest UserThis hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. We were with a wedding block so we saw multiple rooms. The bathrooms looked like the cracks had been caulked over a dozen times, the doors were chipping, the carpets were stained, the bed skirts were stained, the furniture was stained, etc. When we arrived, there were two hairs in the bathroom, one in the sink and one on the bathtub rim. Gross. We did not complain bc it just didn’t seem worth it. This seemed status quo. The breakfast was pretty good, so that was a redeeming fact. The kids liked the pool. The gym was very small and so hot it felt like you were there for hot yoga. The room keys never worked, so nearly every time we left our room we had to go back to the front desk to have the key reset. It became frustrating. A couple rooms had to call maintenance and we did see evidence of maintenance tools throughout the hotel. The doors slammed loudly. It just looked like a big work in progress and didn’t make for a relaxing or enjoyable stay at all. We paid something like $179 a night, but it felt like $89 would have been more appropriate for the quality of the hotel.
We had the worth check in expensive I have ever had in my life. The agent was extremely rude to my wife. Verbally threatened her and then threatened to call the police on her. We were in town for a funeral and he said our names were not on the reservation. She showed the email from IHG that confirmed the reservation and later I also confirmed with the corporate office we were listed. He said he didn’t care what the reservation said and also said he didn’t give a f that we were there for a funeral. I attempted to contact the management at the location as I was not in the lobby when this occurred and the front desk agent identified him self as the manager and told me to and I quote circle my a** back to the hotel if I had a problem with how he spoke to my wife. We will never stay with IHG again. After reading other reviews this experience is common at this location. I am filing a police report. Contacting the local news and have made a complaint with the corporate office. The agents name was David or Davis. To be a hospitality establishment there was none offer period. The hotel is also run down and dated.
Quality Inn, Quality Inn, Quality Inn, what can we say about this location? Staff is very friendly and has great customer service. We checked in room 104 at 8:30pm,front desk was great, and again at check out excellent front desk. Nice, clean property, and inside clean too. Now, the area around hotel not the best but the hotel itself makes the area neat, clean, and quiet. We will be back in the future and recommend anyone in shreveport need a place to stay for a night, go straight to Quality Inn.
GGuest UserThe front desk person swiped my card even though everything was paid for and it deleted the payment, however she still took care of me and my needs, made sure my daughter and I were comfortable. She also handled the business with trip.com for me. That’s why I stay here everytime I visit!
GGuest UserParty of 5 booked 3 rooms. All sheets were dirty and stained!! Fans in room to replace A/C. Lights in bathroom didn't work. Called front desk for new sheets and was told they didn't have any. Went to front to get refund and check out, and there was a line of people complaining about the beds. They were also told the hotel had no extra sheets. The owner who lives on property was then called to front desk. We asked for refund gave our reasons which included the couple that was in the hall fighting for 30 minutes. He yelled ”no refund its after midnight”. We then called the police to address the domestic dispute and to see if they could help with refund. The owner who wouldn't give his name continued to argue with us saying no refund. He was RUDE, LOUD AND ARGUMENTIVE!The police could not help with our refunds but they did investigate the fight in the hall which the owner failed to do. Our party left the hotel at 2 am and drove back home. Now we know it is not the Hilton but if you don't even have clean sheets to offer your guests you need to be closed down. DO NOT STAY
