Two day stay for a New Years Eve Wedding. We rented 10 rooms across our family. Even though it was a very busy Weekend, they allowed for an early check in, and a late check out. The endless supply of free tea and coffee in the lobby was much appreciated. Keys that went missing were quickly replaced without trouble. King and Queen beds were supportive and comfortable, full size beds were fine, but not as great as the bigger beds. Heating system has a ”fan” mode that our white noise fans loved. Seasonal decorations make for a lovely atmosphere. All staff masked all the time, but we could still see the smiles in their eyes. Plenty of parking. Awning over the entrance helped us keep he Bride and her Bridesmaids dry on their way to the Limo. Even though all 96 rooms were full of guests from 3 different weddings on New years Eve, we had no trouble sleeping that night. The breakfast restaurant got rave reviews from our crew. We will always stay at the Simsbury Inn when traveling in the Simsbury/Hartford area. Just lovely.
Dean and Lucía are wonderful people who love to help and that's a great asset to have at a hotel. They were always smiling and super pleasant, even at 4 AM when I arrived. From my middle of the night arrival, to the maintenance man willing to bring me daily ice then helping me move my bags to a new room, to me locking myself out, they staff worked efficiently and with smiles. I travel all the time for work and this was one of the best accommodations staff. I will definitely be back.
I will say that it was raining and gray so with sunshine things may have appeared better. On checking the staff were overwhelmed and we had to contend with a long line. My guests had to sit in the car for 20 minutes while we were checking in. The annex where we were placed was drab and lackluster. The rooms were old and in need of refreshing .( Actually one of my guests stated that there were many dead bugs in the bathroom but I cannot personally verify that.) There was a musty smell in the room on entry and I had to leave the door open to clear it out. Plastic cups. Broken ice machine. Iron didn’t work and I guess you get the gist. It was a lodging that you wouldn’t expect from a $49.00 motel.

It is a hotel that I would definitely like to use again. I was tired and came home, and I was able to relax with coffee. The staff is relatively friendly. The surrounding environment is wonderful.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It would have been nice to see more vegan options at the continental breakfast, besides fruit. The worse part was the shuttle service. Always > 1 hour late or just didn’t show up at all. Even if the Hyatt is not in control of the shuttle service, not setting a standard, or getting rid of the service all together if they cannot meet that standard, is not a great look for the hotel. But, I will gladly go back. I’ll just rent a car next time. 😉
The location of the shop is beautiful, the room is clean and tidy, the service is professional and there are many parking spaces. There is free coffee and bag tea in the lobby. Breakfast is close to 50 knives, a bit expensive. Also close to Bradley Airport. I heard that there is a pick-up
Very sad representation of sheraton. Got a room, got in. Unpacked. After some time went to heat some water for tea and the cold water leveler did not work. It was NOT attached to the whole faucet. That means its only scorching hot water for face and hand washing and nothing else. No tea no water. I called to the front desk. The young lady said ” oh yeah, its not broken you just have to wiggle it the right way”. I said sure hung up amd went to wiggle it some. After carefully playing with the cold water leveler bending down under the sink to try to see whats really up I decided thats not ok. I went back to calling front desk again. Nobody picked up. I called again. Finally a nice gentleman picks up. I explain the whole sotry again from the start he says he will send a maintanance man to check. 10-15 minutes passes, nobody comes. Im tired, hungry, dirty, cranky so is my travel buddy. I grab my keycard. I go downstairs. I meet that nice gentleman and explain the issue and ask for a new room. He gives me the new room card. I go up, start repacking my suitcases to move. Mid packing maintanance man shows up, suprised there is an issue. He grabs the leveler and says ” oh ok, its broken” no sh*t. We move to new room. Smells nasty, like somebody was smoking in it for the past week 24/7. I let it go. I turn the water on and the cold water was not cold it was at best luke warm...yes i had to drink it as there were no stores around so had to make do with what i had. The sheets were nasty, please take a look at the ”comforter/blanket” it will speak for itself. Sheraton aint the same.. pitty
