Pros- The couple that run the place are very nice. The wife speaks really good English and is very hospitable. The husband doesn’t speak any but he invited me for coffee and helped me with taxis. The price is great. The rooms are clean, bed is pretty comfortable. The hotel is by a busy street but it’s pretty quiet inside the room 😊 Good water pressure and very hot water is also a plus.
Con - It’s in a location that is mostly furniture stores or auto mechanics. Also everything closes around 9pm so if you are a night owl like me you have to go pretty far to find food or drinks. I’d recommend getting a motorbike.
Overall, for the price, it isn’t fancy but you have clean room, nice owners, and a quiet space. 👍

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Room was clean and spacious. Not all the staff was able to speak English but this is not unusual in Vietnam. Through the staff which did speak English we were able to book a daytrip to the caves in Phong Nha which is absolutely worth a visit! Staff in general was very helpful and even booked us tickets for the sleeper train to Hanoi. Location is very good although it is generally quite difficult to find a restaurant with a menu in English (we managed with pointing out pictures on the menu). Dong Hoi is a city with a lot of potential which, however, still has to be developed (lots of opportunities for nice bars and restaurants along the seaside which are not there yet).

The hotel is located in a beautiful seaside, but is far from the centre and there are bars and restaurants in the area. We booked this hotel via the tour to the caves agency that organizes excursions to the caves in Phong Nha National Park , we arrived at 6 a.m. after a night on the train and at our arrival we had already delivered our room and We were made breakfast (50.000 vnd, it was only included that of the next morning ). The room was on the third floor, no lift.

Phòng nghỉ được thiết kế tinh tế, sạch sẽ và đầy đủ tiện nghi. Tầm nhìn từ phòng rất tuyệt vời, giúp tôi thư giãn và tận hưởng vẻ đẹp của thiên nhiên xung quanh. The hotel has a very impressive design that brings a pleasant, western feel. The hotel staff is very enthusiastic, always happy to help our group a lot. Our group of 4 people rented 2 rooms from the hotel, the room was new and very clean, fully equipped. My room is 35m2 with a cool and beautiful sea view. Here, just walking about 500m to the sea is really convenient or you can use the tram, also close to the city center. In addition, the hotel also has a dining room on the top floor, so you can see the whole Dong Hoi. This is a 3-star hotel but in terms of service, I think it deserves 4 stars. If I have the opportunity to return to Dong Hoi, I will still choose Riverside Hotel
