We stayed here at the end of our 8 day trip and all I can say was it was beautiful. Taumeasina was very busy (Mothers Day weekend) but that didn't stop the wonderful service we were welcomed with lei's and welcome drinks and escorted to our beautiful room (210) perfectly close but far enough away for some peace and quiet. I travelled with my Mother and 2 sisters and wished we had booked here first and stayed for a little bit longer. We also attended the FIA FIA night and that was such a good show and so fun. The only negative was not being having the best seat for FIA FIA night as we were located closer to the back and I think due yo the weather (rainging) they had set up under the shelter which from where we were seating was hard to see most of the show but from what we did see it was a beautiful show. We hope to be back again soon to enjoy the beautiful resort and its amenities.

Our trip to Apia on 2 July 2024 was meant to be a 68th birthday celebration. We have not been back to Samoa for nearly ten years. So looking forward to staying at the new Sheraton/Aggie’s. After months of planning we arrived to find accommodation dramatically the opposite of what we had agreed and reserved with Reservations. We asked for a standard room over looking the pool. Instead we got a bungalow with no TV reception. The bathroom sink was leaking and the phone was not working. No room service. No extra pillows or extra blankets or top sheet. We had to request housekeeping to service our room. Electric kettle didn’t work. No privacy as the blinds had gaps between them, turning our bungalow into a caged fishbowl. No covered car parking as reserved. Being partly under renovation we were told the standard rooms were not available until so-called Phase 2. But they didn't bother to tell us until we arrived, claiming that they had sent a letter which could not be produced. With over six email chasers and a couple of phone calls (note the site was extremely unfriendly with no obvious phone numbers) no one mentioned any change to our original booking. There was no reminder close to travel time until we followed up via email to no avail, and subsequent phone calls. Attempts to find alternative accommodation around town were futile as Apia hotels were all booked out at the time. Painful as it was to part with over T$9,000 we had no choice but to go with it, making the best of two weeks. We asked for a discount and all we got was two ice lattes and one night's dinner. Whoopy! At our “free meal” we asked for a couple of niu drinks, but were not available. We asked for a Lemon Lime & Bitter, also not available. Was told by the waiters that they have only reopened two days prior. I find this part the most annoying. When did this become our problem as we have been charged the full price!?!? The booking should never have been accepted if the service standards could not be met. Their website should also have been clear and updated that they are only at “phase one” of their renovations. Why was this not clear??? We note with interest, the ****** is purportedly operating fine. Never again. Catherine & Latu

Wonderful hotel, an old colonial house set in a garden on the outskirts of Apia (not really walking distance to town but an easy taxi ride), there are several types of room. Downstairs the rooms are modern and air-con, the advantage being they are cool, the disadvantage being that they lack character. Upstairs, however, the rooms are old style, fans rather than air-con (since they are not airtight...), delightful and with character, some with ensuite and (I think) some with shared facilities. If you stay upstairs remember that this is an old house and the floorboards creak...! In the garden there are fales, Samoan-style huts, all facilities shared, aimed more for backpackers. Generally, the place is well kept and clean, linen was changed regularly and both sheets and towels were in good condition and always smelt fresh. Our only complaint here was that the first day we had polyester sheets on the bed, which were very unpleasant, but we asked for cotton sheets and they were immediately replaced, so not really a complaint. The breakfasts are great, filling and different every day, and although there are no other meals offered, the kitchen (and the fridge) is available for guests to use, which is very useful if you're staying for a while (as we were, we were there for two weeks) and don't want to eat out every night. All in all, highly recommended, the staff are all, without exception, friendly, smiling and efficient and made our stay extra memorable. With an eye to some other reviews, remember that this is not a five star hotel, it is budget accommodation. Still, the range of rooms make it suitable for most guests, and particularly those staying for a while.
I recently had the misfortune of booking a hotel room through *******, and I must say it was one of the most horrendous experiences I've ever had as a traveler. Upon arriving at the hotel on the day of my reservation, I was greeted with the shocking news that they had no record of my booking. Despite providing them with all the necessary details and receiving a confirmation from *******, the hotel claimed to be fully booked and had no room available for me. Can you imagine the frustration and inconvenience of being left without a place to stay? I was left scrambling to find alternative accommodation at the last minute, and the only available option was significantly more expensive than what I had originally booked. I strongly advise anyone considering booking through ******* to think twice. Don't make the same mistake I did. Their incompetence and lack of accountability will only lead to frustration and disappointment. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a reliable and trustworthy travel booking service. Note: This review is based on my personal experience and reflects my honest opinion.

Didn’t stay here, as the hotel was full when I arrived with some fellow travellers, who had made prior reservations. But with help of the receptionist, who let me use the wifi and subsequently rang another hotel for and organised a taxi, I ended up ok!
The facility was clean and modern, but the shower didn't drain fully leaving a slippery puddle away from the drain hole. Housekeeping wasn't consistent. On separate occasions the mirror was left wet, the bins unemptied, the towel unchanged and the bed not made up properly. The programmable safe didn't open once locked, and the key card had to be reprogrammed to give access to the room.
Once, while resting in my room in the early afternoon, someone tried to enter my room but the latch stopped them. I quickly checked outside, thinking it might have been housekeeping, but no one was there except someone - a burly obese island man in singlet, shorts and jandals - walking quickly around the corner. I believe it was another guest who'd somehow gained access to electronic access cards, and who was raiding other guest's rooms. It was after that incident that my key card failed to work, and I had to visit reception to get it reprogrammed.
The staff were generally courteous and kind, but really only going through the motions to fulfil their role. No one stood out as loving the work they do.
The egg station couldn't make poached egg. That had to come from the kitchen, and they had to boil the water first and it was an inordinately long wait. In a previous visit to Samoa, at a hotel in Savai'i, the egg station had a pan with simmering water for poached eggs, and they delivered poached eggs as quickly as any other style of egg.
I visited other hotels for events around Apia on this visit. I'm now open to staying at other hotels after this visit.
We only stayed two nights at The White House Hotel, leaving very early the next morning for our flight home. The best that can be said about the hotel is that the room was relatively cheap, it was clean, the air-conditioning worked and it was well located for walking in Apia. On the negative side, the bathroom fan was incredibly loud and the shower veered from searingly hot to ice cold within moments. Breakfast was advertised as starting at 7.30am and we went down at 8.00am to find no plates, no mugs, no butter, a few sad looking lukewarm sausages and a couple of spoonsful of scrambled egg and no attendant at all. There was a small selection of fruit – tiny bananas – a toaster with slices of bread slowly going stale in a basket, and some jars of jam. After repeatedly finding a staff member to provide the missing utensils we were left unimpressed. Also, communication with the hotel prior to arriving was non-existent – we had sent a message asking about transfers to the airport on checkout and never received a reply. We organised our own taxi instead.
