I loved the philosophy and atmosphere that ran through the course, the welcome and engagement with the staff , the place, even the food. It was genuine and thoughtfully designed, while avoiding a feeling of being judgemental in its sustainable practices, vegetarian food or about peoples' experience levels. Reminded me of the best bits of yoga retreats but without the less pleasant parts that crop up occasionally. The staff were so genuinely warm; there was no sense of any performative or jaded hospitality! They were helpful and kind to us because they are helpful and kind! Just a delightful and interesting bunch of people and a really lovely experience. Highly recommend!

I received a lovely warm welcome when I arrived late in the evening to the Common Knowledge Centre, the fire was lit, I was given a little tour of the building and everything was explained very well. I received a great recommendation of where to go for an evening meal and of course the bed was very comfortable and the room was warm and cosy, which I appreciated in the wintery weather! :) The best part was the staff - just lovely warm, kind, interesting people who seem to really love what they do. The library of both books and musical instruments and the lovely living room space really added to the atmosphere there. I would absolutely stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone taking part in a course there!

A Fun Change of Pace I thoroughly enjoyed The Common Knowledge Centre! It was a fun change of pace from a regular hotel.

I would highly recommend Common Knowledge. I attended the fermentation workshop. It was hugely informative & I came away having the practical knowledge to make my own fermented foods whilst being inspired on many different levels. The environment is positive & engaging. It was everything I didn’t realise I needed & more. A wonderful reset that I can carry forward

Love the vibe and energy of this place. Most people stay here to learn and share collective experience, we did a fermentation course which was fantastic. The accommodation is rustic, cosy and welcoming everything you could want from an authentic Irish stay. The beds and rooms are comfortable and the common areas are relaxing and well thought out. I will be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed doing the DIY course, I feel confident now using the tools, and the tutors were excellent. The accommodation was soo comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the food was soo tasty and healthy Genuinely lovely bunch from start to finish 👍

Stayed in the centre and did the Cooking with Confidence course. Absolutely fabulous and I would highly recommend it. Ash is a brilliant chef and all there were friendly, helpful and couldn't do more to make the stay so enjoyable. The hands on cooking, all the food and hints and of course sampling all we cooked made for a very enjoyable weekend. I'll definitely do another of their courses. Would highly recommend it.

The stay did not meet my expectations. There is a need for heartfelt communication with the land and a request to listen to the voice of the land. The landscape here has been disrespected through it's continued disturbance without asking her permission. I would recommend staying elsewhere.
