A lot has already been said, great location for walks , golf , not to mention the wonderful beach. Cycling which we did as well as the tourist sites, Cliffs of Moher being my favourite. . This hotel is a great experience as well as value, and shall be hard to book going forward would be my guess , as its a gem and shall not disappoint. We had one issue which was immediately and effectively dealt with by management. Can't be bad to that , they clearly invest in their buisness and customers. Ticked all the boxes for us.

GGuest UserThe Trump Doonbeg property is very peaceful and well maintained. We stayed in suite that was well furnished and service was great. We travelled throughout Ireland and my wife liked it here the best. I played the golf course which is well maintained.

GGuest UserDieses Hotel ist familiengeführt. Das merkt man bereits, wenn man das Haus betritt. Aufzug bis in den 6. Stock. Zimmer sauber, Badewanne vorhanden, 2 Betten sind da. Überaus freundliches Personal und der Hotelbesitzer erkundigt sich an jedem Tish, dass alles stimmt. Die Küche ist auf Sonderwünche eingestellt und bereitet exzellentes Gerichte zu. Ich habe nur deshalb keine 5 Punkte vergeben, da das Zimmer keine Klimaanlage hat und weder Schwimmbad noch Spa verfügt und weil man die Speisenkarte mit der Handybeleuchtung lesen muss, weil das Licht nicht ausreicht.

GGuest UserAfter a long and lovely trip to Ireland (my first) it was delightful to spend a quiet day and night at the hotel in anticipation of an early morning flight. Well rested, I was delighted by assistance (I have limited mobility) all the way from the hotel across the parking lot pathway to the airport. It was the epitome of compassion and kindness, exhibited throughout Ireland, but as a final reminder of the warmth and generosity of the Emerald Isle.

GGuest UserWe stayed overnight in the Radisson Blu Limerick after attending a wedding there recently. It’s a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. We really enjoyed our short visit with wonderful food, a spotless room and very friendly staff. I would like to mention Gabrielle who worked at our table during the wedding and who met us and showed us to our table next morning and took our breakfast order. She was so pleasant and helpful to us on each occasion we met her. We were sorry to have to leave without enjoying the hotels extra facilities, the pool and gym etc. We hope to get back soon for a private stay.

GGuest UserOn the 10th of August we were on holiday in Clare, we had travelled along the coast via Lisdoonvarna and Fanore. Circa 1.30pm we arrived in Ballyvaughan and decided to have something light to eat as we were booked for dinner later in Ennis. We popped into Hylands and decided to go for the bar menu. My wife and I went for the toasted special at 10.50 euro each. The young server was a very pleasant girl from Carron. My son went for a chicken dish. When the sandwiches came they were compressed so tightly they looked disgusting, we couldn't make out what was inside the soggy bread. There was a bit of withered green leaves on the side and a spoon of what we think was some sort of cheap coleslaw. The presentation was appalling and how any chef could let this out of a kitchen defies all logic, says a lot for their culinary skills. We had to order chips separately at 4.50 a go and one potato would have covered what we got in a little silver pot. All in all it was one of the worst presentations of food we ever had, it was awful. I made my feelings known but all the girls could say was Sorry. I can honestly say I would never return to this premises and certainly would not recommend to anyone. Hylands need to get their act together and refrain from serving poor quality food at exorbitant prices. Many other reviews have had similar experiences but they continue to throw out this type of food.

GGuest UserI was very pleasantly surprised by my experience in this hotel! From the very first point of contact at the reception the staff exuded friendliness! I had the salmon at dinner - which again was very good! The following day I hade the chowder for lunch - exceptional! FYI I am a pretty accomplished cook. The gym had full olympic bars and a great range of dumbbells to meet the needs of a regular gym goer. Pool, sand and steam looked great - I didn't have time to use them as I only stayed one night. Breakfast was great - lovely coffee - Yeah - I recommend this hotel!

GGuest UserLove the Castle Oaks Hotel, stayed here few years ago & fell in love with the place & the lovely friendly staff. It's the ideal place if u just want to relax & enjoy the walks down by the river. We stayed last weekend & really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is very good & plentiful, we had dinner both nights & we weren't disappointed. Maggie & Josie are out on their own, hotel is very lucky to have two hard working & friendly ladies. Only downside was that there was no live music in bar on Sat night, we were looking forward a sing song. We are looking forward to returning soon 💛

GGuest UserI read a lot of the reviews for Myles Creek before booking and they were varied to say the least so I want to give a very honest review of my stay, which was with my wife for 3 nights in August 2023. First off this is not a modern franchise type hotel so if that's what you are looking for it's not for you. The building is an old building and while the rooms are certainly dated in style our room was spotless and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast has 3 options full Irish, scrambled eggs and toast or vegetarian, my wife doesn't like fried eggs so asked if she could have scrambled eggs with the full irish, the lovely lady who served us said this wasn't an option, seems odd but aside from that the full irish breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. The bar down stairs is a really nice bar that has excellent food and again helpful and friendly staff. So all in all in terms of bang for your buck I highly recommend Myle's Creek and I most certainly will return, just manage your expectations if a big fancy hotel is what you are after, think more family run, wholesome no frills and you wont be disappointed.
