Super 8 by Wyndham Clayton

Dirty floors felt sticky to bare feet. Tub dripped (could not stop it). Added charge to credit card after check in. Had to dispute extra charge with credit card company. Breakfast was only two cereals and waffle machine. No coffee except small coffee maker in room. No seating to eat, had to stand or go to room. Broken TV remote (back would not stay on). Stay some where else!

The bed was made up with the previous occupant's dirty sheets, microwave had their waffle breakfast still in it and the floors needed to be swept. Clayton is a small town and the employee pool is probably very small but that is not an excuse for the condition of the rooms. Proper training might bring a slight improvement. Would not stay there again. I give it Minus -5 stars.

Terrible place. Checked in at llama and breakfast area was still a mess with food, food crumbs up the stairs, top of the stairs part of the ceiling fell out and was in pieces on the ground. TiB water would not shut off and actively ran all night loudly. Dead bugs and what not on the floor all over and blood splatter on bathroom wall. Coffee maker didn’t work and they don’t provide downstairs. If you need anything in the morning there is no one at front desk.

Terrible Rude Staff lady with dog looked like she just woke up . Room not cleaned no clean towels Never had a problem $200 should not feel so expensive..

Old everything. Old heater/air, old bed, old bedsheets, old carpet, old toilet that kept running. No protein offered for breakfast. Receptionist was wearing an old t-shirt and did not look professional.

Why did I get a receipt for my room handwritten. Paid 100 cash. Why was ther absolutely no breakfast items. Why was there no phone in rooms. Why was there no one at front desk at 8:00 in morning. Why is there rooms with swing lock in door so no key needed. Have notified Wyndum on this property for illegal activity will send photo of my receipt to main office

When we arrived at this destination, I asked if we could have a handicap room. The receptionist was very accommodating, but when we started to get settled we discovered that the room had not been serviced. There were dirty, used towels all over the bathroom floor and the bed sheets had not been changed. When I reported it to the front desk, they immediately went to work to clean it up. The staff profusely apologized, several times, and we were asked to leave while they serviced it, which we did not mind. However, in a corner of the room, there were some kind of pills on the floor. The carpet in the hall looked as though it had not been vacuumed in weeks and was terribly stained. The floor in our room was buckling, the "planks" looked warped. The water pressure was low and the water did not get very hot. The bathtub faucet was hard to stop dripping. Here, as in all the Super 8s we have stayed at on this trip (1 in Durango, CO; 1 in Bloomfield, NM and this one), the coffee in the room was nothing more than colored water, and no breakfast of any kind was offered. At least in the other two we got breakfast and the coffee in the lobby was coffee, not brown water. We had stayed at this Super 8 several times on our trips between Oklahoma and New Mexico. Because our past experiences were good, we chose to stay at Super 8 for this trip. In the future, I will probably book somewhere else.

Return trip, 900 miles to The Point of Know Return, & I don’t attempt traveling across No Mans Land after dark, so Clayton Super 8 was the best choice I made before departing Trinidad Colorado. I had 218 & it was perfect. The linens smelled So Good! The towels were the same & so soft. The management were so kind, thank you, Nikki. I’m having your “birthday brownie” today! Keep partying, 1800 miles more, back to Clearwater FLA. Annual Maintenance on The Milky Way in Trinidad Colorado completed.

This place is what I will forever call the Murder Hotel. We found blood stains EVERYWHERE...on the carpet, along the door jams to the bathroom, the hairdryer and on the bedspread. Dirty everywhere. Breakfast is Quaker Oats, granola bar and mini doughnuts in a paper cup with a plastic spoon. Very noisy and full of inconsiderate guests. Staff is friendly and very helpful, as much as they can be.
