We had a wonderful stay at the Station House Hotel Clifden. We received a warm welcome from the staff and everyone we met was so friendly. Our room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Our evening meal exceeded our expectations The seafood was fresh, local and delicately cooked. The lamb was soo tender and full of flavour. We hope to return one day and would definitely recommend this charming unassuming hotel. Fabulous staff - hold onto them

We had a great time at Clifden Station House. Great staff, great rooms, great location and the best breakfast in Ireland. We stayed here 14 years ago and liked it. The total remodel was lovely and made the stay that much nicer. We love Clifden and we love the Station House.

We have travelled to many countries and stayed in many Hotels and The Station House Hotel in Clifden is by far the most interesting and friendly Hotel we have ever stayed in. the hosts James and Hannah Sweeney run a happy and efficient Hotel and the staff are always good humoured and having the craic between themselves and the guests, the guinness is good and the food is delicious we absolutely loved the Hotel and hated leaving it. Lovely hotel. Staff very welcoming, gave great advise on where to go in the area. We stayed in the hotel while other family member stayed in apartment. FABULOUS. Already booked our return visit in November. Food lovely and what a selection for breakfast!!! Rooms spotless too.

The hotel was perfect. I want to put in a special good word for the restaurant for the food was first class —fresh local and delicious and service excellent. Good wine list too. Essentially located in everything is convenient. Nice music in the lobby room are comfortable and have everything you need.

We stayed for one night and would like to commend the team on our excellent experience. Room and hotel generally clean and very well maintained. We ate in the Station House, lovely meal, nice ambience in the old building, great evening. I would like to particularly call-out the breakfast team, really lovely engagement from them, welcoming, chatty without being overbearing, excellent start to a our day in Connemara. We will be back and all in our party(4) would recommend, thanks for a lovely stay.

Excellent hotel. We stayed two nights, the room was clean, updated and quiet, with an excellent coffee maker in the room. The hotel restaurants were also both quite excellent, and when my wife hurt her knee the front desk was very helpful with how to get care.

Excellent hotel with amazing friendly staff and excellent food. We stayed in this hotel for four nights in September 2024. The standard here is very high everybody is so friendly and professional nothing is too much trouble. Excellent pianist on Saturday night. Keep up the good work. Tom & Marie

I booked this hotel for a family birthday celebration. We had 6 rooms in the hotel and 3 apartments. The families with small children stayed in the apartments and they were all sided by side and easily accessible to the hotel facilities. The rooms in the hotel had luxurious bedding and everything was spotless. The Manager,THanks James was very attentive to our needs and gave us a big welcome. He organised a lovely private room for the birthday celebration, and the food for 24 people was just super and 2 waiters we had on the night were so patient (with the small kids running around the place), helpful and attentive in every way. I had lots of contact for arrangements with the hotel prior to my stay at each call the staff again were so helpful. The location of the hotel is in a beautiful scenic area and well worth the journey, and there is lots to do in the town itself and the surrounding area. I can't recommend this hotel hit enough - A big thanks to James and all his staff. Cathrina (Roscommon)
