We loved our stay ar Hanul! For as little as 50€ per night, totalling 25€ per person, we had a large room with a small living room and large bathroom downstairs and then an upstairs area with our two beds and even a fan! The courtyard is beautiful. All check-in and check-out was done contactless, the team sent me instructions before my arrival. Good location 12 min walk to the Old Town and 15 min walk to the train station. Did not need public transport except for going from thr Airport to there. Thanks!

Liked · Location is within walking distance from the centre and old town, but it is still a 20-25 minute walk. Clean room. Average breakfast. The deep fried zucchini is very good. I had a room towards the yard and it was very quiet (both towards the outside as well as towards the hallway). Disliked · The hotel interior feels sterile and not cozy. Part of the reason for this is that the lighting in the hotel throughout is cold white and in the rooms the lights are much too strong (except bathroom, where it is not strong enough). Suggestion to management: hire a lighting consultant for advice how to change to warmer light to make the lighting work to the hotel's advantage. Also add a few plants here and there to reduce the sterile feeling. I missed fresh bread for breakfast, only toast was available. The music during breakfast was extremely cheesy, elevator style (maybe suitable for pensioners?). However, the real problem was that I was double charged for a one night stay. I was getting suspicious about payment issues already when the owner asked me if I wanted to change the credit card that I had used for the reservation through another website. (Was it to cancel my original reservation in order to avoid paying commission to them?) Since the credit card reservation for the second night was never cancelled even though we decided to stay only one night, I had to write and complain. Despite writing four e-mails about it (of course using the correct e-mail adress) I never got a response from the hotel. Finally I turned to my bank showing them the proof and the bank swiftly reimbursed me for the double payment.

After much deliberation on choosing our hotel in Cluj, we were not disappointed. We had found our hidden gem! The hotel was perfect. It was very clean Our room was well equipped and great bathroom with a wonderful power shower The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was possibly one of the best I have ever had in a hotel stay. Lots of choice, well displayed and good quality. Elena our waitress wad very cheerful and is a credit to your hotel. Thanks for a wonderful stay

This was a great pick to stay. It was a bit far to walk to the centre but a taxi was 10 minutes and cost nothing. It has free onsite parking if you hire a car. You can walk to the centre, just takes 40 minutes or a bus stop is 5 minutes away. The room was a great size and it was really clean. Everything was new in the room. There wasn’t much to do in the hotel, an eating/drinking area is the most you’ll get but it’s a city break so you don’t need anything else. I’d definitely stay again. Staff spoke really good English and were really friendly. Good value for sure

A new apartment hotel in a quiet place, there is underground parking, a supermarket and a clothing store next door, a fully equipped kitchen and an option for breakfast delivered to the room. We were two families and we really enjoyed the warm and professional service. highly recommend .

I spent a great deal of time at The Hotel Platinia during a business trip and it was fantastic! The rooms are spacious, modern and extremely clean. The hotel staff could not be nicer, they will make sure your stay is very comfortable. The housekeeping services are unparalleled. I had an unusual over night work schedule and they were able to service my room at odd hours. The breakfast is great, and the waitresses were beyond friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

GGuest UserYou can find cheaper options in the city, but if you need an equipped (almost everything, except the dishwasher) apartment, with a kitchenette, plus a nice balcony with a beautiful view, in a good area of the city, it is strongly recommended to choose this apartment hotel. First of all, unlike many other aparthotels in Cluj, there's the reception working up to 10 PM which is very convenient if you need to ask something important for you, or need any other assistance (anyway, after you get an explanation of how easily enter and leave the apartment, and the building, by using a code, and if everything is good, no real necessity in interaction with the reception). Daily changing towels, taking out the trash, etc', location is great for this city (it looks not scary to walk around that neighborhood even late at night). The hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from a side entrance to Iulius Mall. In this big and modern mall there is also a big Aushan supermarket, a big selection of fast food chains, Starbucks and local caffe, etc' for almost every taste. You can also take a walk in the park around the lake and near the mall and the hotel. Taxis with affordable prices in Cluj, especially when you use apps and not catch on the street. Bolt is a bit cheaper than Uber. For example, the trip to airport from the hotel was ~ 30 romanian lei (about 6 euro).

GGuest UserMy favorite hotel to stay in while I am in Cluj-Napoca. I think the location is a bit far from the center, but the services and stay compensate for it. There aren't many restaurants close by, but the downstairs restaurant is good, and the service is impeccable. It's a bit more expensive than regular restaurants, but the food is very good. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The staff is professional, ready to help, and always smiling. I have stayed here 3-4 times already and will book again.

GGuest UserA wonderful 6 nights spent doing a combination of business and leisure. Impeccable staff service including organising a hair dressing appointment at very short notice. Swimming pool and spa are excellent after long flights or long days working. A delight is the quality of food in the Marco Polo Restaurant. While Cluj has many restaurants within walking distance, we were so impressed by the flavours, textures and variety that we chose to eat in. A great convenience is that the restuarant is open for lunch and then across the afternoon into the evening so no hassle to eat whenever you need to. Breakfasts have a wide variety and there is something different each day which is a nice touch when staying for 6 days. Very comfortable bed with both softer and firmer pillows and lovely fluffy bath sheets. Front desk staff were helpful whether day or night shift and speaking English was no problem - there was always at least one person who was more than proficient. Location is excellent - 5 - 8 mins walk into the old city centre which gives an immediate sense of being in Cluj. A park with a lake nearby too. Many restaurants serving both traditional Romanian dishes and a wide variety to suit different palates and diets. We embarked on an ice cream tasting and found it not possible to try out all the many outlets. History abounds and many photo opportunities. We will be back and will be very glad to stay at DoubleTree again

GGuest UserLocation: you could not wish a better spot for being in midst of Cluj....vibrant and live. No car traffic in the area. Plenty of nice pubs and restaurants. If you have a car then better look for a parking at the Central Building.. Rooms: seem is a new owner in town...the rooms are well designed and the space is comfortable. It is a yes from all points of view. Staff: well trained. Helpful. Nice.
