Hotel Villa Vinum Cochem

Feels like staying as a guest in a home rather than a hotel. Large spacious rooms tastefully decorated with a shower where you have space. No trying to shower in a confined space without hitting something and water power that gives a great sensation. Just luxiourious. Good breakfast with beautifully fresh bread. Tea and coffee available, as part of the room rate, 24 hours a day in the dining area. Access to use the dining and living room space for relaxing. Plus access to a good selection of drinks, both chilled and at room temperature, (wines, beers, soft drinks) in the dining area. Just take and leave a note to put on your bill. A host and hostess available to answer questions and give good advice on local restaurants and things to do. Thank you Sebastian and family.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They make sure their guests have the best time in Cochem. Gives you advises on what to do’s and don’ts in the area ie- recreational drone flying, bike tour etc - they treat the guesrs as their family. Rooms are quite nice for their price - very quiet and clean. Very safe area and gorgeous scenery upfront as it is located right by tje riverside and just in front of the Castle on the mountain- Love my stay here and would stay again should I decide to come back here with friends or for a solo trip —-well deserved compliments Thank you for making the stay in Cochem memorable. Sincerely- Riri Sisters, John and Angelo
Hotel Villa Tummelchen

⭐️⭐️ - Excellent! ⭐️ ⭐️ We had a wonderful stay in the pension Tummelchen. Unfortunately, it was only 3 days! We were glad to stay longer! The guests are incredibly nice, friendly and helpful, which has made our visit particularly pleasant. The rooms are not only very clean, but also bright and attractive. The view of the Moselle and Reichsburg is simply genial. The location of the pension is quiet, which provides for relaxing nights. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious! This was a wonderful view of the terrace! Overall a perfect place for a relaxed relaxation and as a starting point for beautiful bike tours – we're happy to come back!
Moselstern Hotel Brixiade &Triton

Great hotel location and view of the castle. The room was very clean and tidy. Unfortunately even with the balcony door closed, the cigarette smoke gets in the room if one of the neighbor rooms has a smoker on the balcony puffing away. Very annoying in the middle if the night while trying to sleep. Breakfast was usual buffet but fresh and good selection of items. I look forward to the next visit.

Cochem is somewhere I have wanted to visit for many years and I was not disappointed by what I found. A most beautiful little town nestled in the Mosel Valley. As you enter the town along the banks of the river, you are stunned by the view of the castle perched high above the town. On the other side of the valley the vineyards stretch high up the steep slopes. It’s just a fantastic place. The hotel was situated in the very centre of the town right on the banks of the river. Our room had a balcony with a view across the river and down the valley, it was stunning. The room was a little dated but the staff were amazingly friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. We took a trip on the river on one of the many boats offering different variations of trips. We went on a two-hour round trip up the river. The boat serves food and drinks to enjoy as you take in the view. Good: Wonderful View Friendly Staff Great Location Great Breakfast Not so good: No Parking at the hotel, you can drop your bags off and then park in a multi story around 500m away (only €9 for 24 hours) No coffee making facilities in the room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Hotel Cochemer Jung

A very solid stay at the Hotel Cochemer Jung in December! We usually stay at the Marriott brands because spouse has status with them, so we hadn't stayed in a smaller hotel for a while but we had a great stay here! We had just finished a Christmas Markets group tour with Gate 1. Our plans included extending our stay in Germany for a couple more days to visit our son who's living and working in Germany and also to go to Luxembourg for a day trip. We decided to stay in the town of Cochem. Our friends thought the reviews at this hotel looked pretty good so we all booked our rooms. Unfortunately we arrived earlier than the stated check in time but the staff member was real nice and went and checked with housekeeping to find out when the rooms would be ready. They were able to have one room ready so we put all our luggage in that room and went to explore the town. This is a smaller but modern hotel. It's advertised as an eco friendly hotel, so they don't have in room mini fridges to save on wasting electricity and if you want daily housekeeping it's an extra cost. No real lobby but an area with some computer terminals where you can check in. The manager's office is nearby if you have any problems and the restaurant is right next door. Our friends paid a little bit more and got a larger room and larger bathroom and also a river front view. Our room and bathroom was smaller but fine for us and faced the back or alley, so not a fancy view but interesting. If you return to the hotel late/after hours, the doors are locked and there's a back door with a card reader so you use your room key to get back in the building Rooms are very clean, modern, solid wood type flooring with heating coils, so your feet wouldn't feel so cold! The bathroom also had those towel heating racks, a nice touch! On our departure day at breakfast we got to see a beautiful white dusting of snow on the hills across the river! Very pretty, like a postcard picture! Breakfast was included in the rate. While not a large selection, there was still plenty of variety and everything was tasty and fresh. One of the waitresses was very nice and brought and refilled our coffees and teas. They also gave us a chocolate Lindt Santa, so that was nice! The hotel's restaurant is closed for dinner. There are a lot of restaurants near the river, but during winter/non busy times many of them close earlier so we had to walk just a bit further for dinner. We found a nice restaurant with upstairs seating, so a nice view of the river, even at night. It wasn't crowded and appeared to be locals having dinner. Menu was in German, but Google Translate is helpful and surprisingly my husband actually remembers his high school German and was able to communicate good enough for most things! However the poor waitress couldn't understand us but one of the other customers was helpful and understood English and told her what we were asking. So we thanked him for his help! The restaurant
