We spent our first two nights in Costa Rica here. The hotel is beautiful and the garden is very beautiful and very well taken care of. There are monkeys in the trees. Location is great. It’s very near to all the activities, but still very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was very nice. You can use bikes from the hotel, but unfortunately they were not available when we got there.

This hotel is beautiful but it is not a "5-star" hotel and is not worth the price. The bad - Took 75 minutes to get our bags brought to our room - The hotel calls itself a 5star hotel but did not have a hairbrush - The hotel didn't have a phone charger for us to borrow and suggested we go to a supermarket (we told them it was our honeymoon) - The suites do not have natural light in the bedroom which makes it claustrophobic - Our key cards did not work which prevented us from going to the beach on our first day before sunset - No TV - It is a 3 minute walk to the beach (versus being on the beach) - Beach access is via a beach club - All of these things could be forgiven at a lower price point - but at the current price point and the claim that it's a "5-star" hotel, doesn't fly in our book The good - Beautifully designed hotel - Hotel has parking - You can't see any other building on the beach which makes you feel like you're in a secluded paradise - The beach had soft sand - They had a nice welcome drink - The Pavlova "Sweets" are spacious - The outdoor shower area is very spacious - The staff is friendly

I love my room, diferent concept from other hotels,also love the idea of rooms in the middle of jungle.

Beautiful setting in a lush jungle garden visited my all the wild animals of the area (howler monkeys, sloths, agoutis, raccoons, birds, hummingbirds, iguanas, frogs… right on your doorsteps). The one-room bungalows feature a roomy bedroom with A/C and outdoor kitchenette, sitting area and bathroom. It was fun to take our shower outside with the sound of nature all around us. Access to the beach is super easy and secluded. My son had fun playing in the waves which are usually mild but can become stronger depending on the weather. The main restaurant and the beach restaurant offer good quality local food and the staff is absolutely amazing. Dania, Jefferson and Michael, in particular, went out of their way to make sure we were always comfortable and not wanting for anything. There are plenty of coconuts to order « agua de coco » everyday, which is very refreshing. The Ghandi pavilion is a nice touch with complimentary yoga some mornings that left me refreshed and energized. It is fairly easy to go in town by the bikes offered at the reception or by calling a Tuk Tuk. The Jaguar Rescue Center is within walking distance, so are some bakeries, utility stores and restaurants. We loved our stay at Aguas Claras and were very sad to leave.

Really outstanding in every way. From the shabby chic plantation style rooms and reception to the boho styled pool area. The staff are warm and friendly, yet attentive. No tip chasing here. The beach club area is a sheltered glove, it’s curated but not noticeably contrived. The swimming in the sea is safe with a reef providing protection. I also really liked the hotel restaurant papaya. Felt like a private villa.

Wonderful hotel: very cosy and well equipped casitas with beautiful deck and garden. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent food for dinner and breakfast. BBQ night with live music on the day we arrived was very nice. Beautiful surroundings with a lot of wildlife. The bicycles are a perfect way to go to Cocles or other villages since traffic is heavy and slow.

Hans & Andrea: Su hotel en Limón es una belleza y la comida ESPECTACULAR! La atención de Freymar (Restaurante Papaya) es digna de rescatar a su vez! Consistente con Cayuga pues somos fans de sus hoteles (en Kura hemos estado en 3 ocasiones en su máster suite) Sin embargo, deben de saber que su Concierge (NICOLE) y su jefe, TADEO HOFFMANN están cometiendo errores CAPITALES en hotelería boutique que deberían atender inmediatamente! Les detallo: la noche de hoy solicitamos PAGAR por un late check out sin embargo la respuesta fue que no era posible porque tenían un early check in… “el siguiente huésped entra entre las 12 md y 1 pm” fue lo que nos dijo Nicole! 🤦🏻♂️ y que lo más podrían hacer era, primeramente hacerse cargo del equipaje (mi vehículo está al frente de la recepción, es decir lo mismo!). Además como se los indique por mensaje, si solicitamos el late check out fue porque queríamos almorzar acá y a las 11 no era opción! Tampoco lo era pasarnos de habitación por una hora cuando ya íbamos de salida! Que clase de solución es esta! También poco les importó saber que nuestro día de check in llegamos a las 2 am, después de 9.5 horas de viaje dado el colapso de la ruta 32 (obviamente no es culpa de nadie pero perdimos la primera noche de estadía!). Y finalmente tampoco tomaron en cuenta que consumimos servicios de SPA, restaurante y minibar… TODO MAL! Lamentablemente nos vamos un muy mal de sabor de boca por esta situación!

This hotel was a top notch boutique hotel with amazing service. From the noment of arrival til we left we experienced too class accomodation and service with a personal smile. Hotel is just z few minutes walk to a secluded beautiful beach. With bar, assorted chair types and sarongs and snorkeling equipment provided complimentary if you chose, this was a lovely spot to spend the day. So relaxing. The hotel pool was equally lovely, but without sea breeze a little hot. One criticism idhave was the limited loungers however i think the beach was the cooler option. Food here was lovely. We hadbreakfadt inclidex each day, vadtchoices and excellently presented. Dinner one evening equally delicious. We had abasic pavlova suite yet thd outside space, showers and seating areas within were super comfy. As were the large luxurious beds and linen . Thehotel provides afreedrying service andwater fladt andbeach bag to take with you to the bay. Top-notch seevice at reception as withwauters and house keeping. We would recommend and return. Wonderful way to finish our 3 week trip to Costa Rica. Thankyou Hotel Aguas Claras..you were amazing.
