Hotels near River to Reef Aquarium Coffs Harbour, Coffs Harbour

This is by far the cheapest place to stay in Coffs Harbour, so any review needs to take this into account. It's definitely not an upmarket place. The room was tiny, the TV remote was missing and reception didn't have a replacement, the aircon made noise but didn't cool down the room at all. The fridge was so cold that the milk I put in there was a block of ice in the morning. That said, the room was decently clean and the bed comfortable. The location is very good too, just across the road from the major shopping area in Coffs Harbour. If you're not expecting an upmarket place, this is absolutely value for money.

For a motor side inn, this was very good. Although close to the Pacific Highway, once we were inside our room, we could hear very little road noise. Our room was tidy, dark, had a comfortable bed and was well equipped (including a microwave). The shower was hot and powerful. Vanessa, on reception, was very helpful (with places to see, eat, etc).

The room is large and the bedding is very comfortable. Hygiene is also good. The triple apartment is a small independent villa with a large balcony and a garage. Fully equipped with microwave, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher and washing machine, it is very suitable for a family trip. Service: The front desk was very enthusiastic and patient. Check-in went smoothly. When checking out, they saw me sitting in the lobby and asked me if I wanted a cup of coffee.

Very satisfied, the pool is next to the balcony of the room! The bed was very comfortable and close to the plaza, within walking distance. About two kilometers away from the park beach.

Quiet room, 2 x QB's, suite was spacious with good quality beds, which were comfortable. We both slept well. Parking area was very hectic, fine when we booked in, but after going for a drive around the beach & the town, picking up dinner & back to the hotel, the car parks were all full. This was the only downside to our stay. Staff were very friendly on check-in & departure. If you were fit & able it was a short walk to eateries & the beach.

We have just been to Coffs Harbour stayed at this motel. We found this motel great it is across the road from the beach, quiter area, walking distance to some great food venues. Yes rooms might be older looking but they are very clean and has everything you need in them as far as a motel goes.Thank you to the new managers Mark and Donna you are amazing people 👍and so helpful nothing is an effort for these 2 people to help you. Outstanding friendly and helpful service, modern and fresh in a look in a historical context, brilliant, nostalgic. Good food in the bistro, great location close to the train station, easy to find for travellers who want to get away from the night time B-doubles using the highway. As close as you can get to the jetty, close to the marina and Mutton Bird Island, Coffs Creek, Park beach, Gallows beach in easy walking reach. Well worth staying more than one night if your schedule allows. The shared bathroom is a touch of authenticity and should not discourage staying there, it’s a corner pub. I will return for more than one night.

Overall,  a pleasant stay,  in a beautiful location,  but with a few much needed upgrades, it could be so much better.  The grounds around the resort were lovely.  The check in process was friendly and quick. Directions to room a bit vague.  Told that the wifi was having issues and we were unlikely to be able to get wifi or 5g from the room (on arrival to the room 5G was fine,  but wifi virtually non existent).  Car park was like a rabbit warren and difficult to find the correct lift to go up. Later the under cover car park was full,  over flow car park full.  Had to park over on the dirt with big muddy puddles everywhere. On arrival to room there was a dingy dark little entrance room, and the light was hard to find in there, so we had to use our phone torch to be able to see to open the door.  Very dissapointed in room on arrival.  Photos on the internet of the executive 1 bedroom apartment showed nicely updated kitchen and bathroom,  what we got was old and dated.  An old fashioned beige spa bath and an old fashioned shower over bath set up, and barely high enough to get my head under water.  It was nice and hot with decent pressure though. Bathroom seemed to only have 1 small soap and one small shower gel for 2 guests.   The kitchen was fine,  but had no overhead cupboards, splash back etc like in the photos on the internet.  I messaged reception about my dissatisfaction with the room, but received no reply.  The rest of the room was nice, and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.  The views to the golf course and lake were nice, and was good to have a balcony.  The TV in the bedroom was extremely tiny, and situated poorly so you have to look down to watch. There was a larger TV in the living area though.  We did not watch TV at all,  as knew Netflix etc would not work with no Wifi.  The fridge was not stocked at all,  apart from 1 tiny bottle of long life milk.  No water,  soft drink or any form of mini bar.  Things that really let down the room were things like the rusty air conditoner external unit, old creaky window in bathroom, window with slatted blinds that are very dusty, and that same window that didn't seem to seal properly. Also a few little cobwebs in the bathroom. With a bit more attention to detail,  this could be an amazing resort,  but at the moment,  I was very let down,  especially since our room didn't match what was on the internet.  Reasonably priced though. 

The breakfast is very rich, there are many fruit designs, and there are milk and coffee drinks. Egg bacon ham is delicious. The suites are large in size and have sofas for children. Be aware that there is a large area of forest near the beach, and children should not go out to run at night. There is free parking and it is suitable for self-driving.
