How this place gets to eight out of 10 stars I have no idea. The floors aren't even level as you can feel the difference moving from one side of the room to another. The bathtub is so old that it doesn't even have an overflow drain and the toilet didn't seem to be attached to the floor whatsoever. I do even took a short video of me, moving it around substantially to the point where I was even scared to use it in case it would break loose from the floor. This site will not allow me to download the eight second video so you'll have to take my word for it. There are definitely better accommodations and this place should be avoided...

Our room was adequate. Things that we missed were outdoor garbage cans and a plug-in in the bathroom. There was a note in the bathroom that said the hairdryer was under the sink. The hairdryer was there but there was no plug-in in the bathroom and no other mirrors in the room. The bed was very high and almost impossible for my husband (who uses two canes for mobility) to get into.

As a senior I like to feel safe when I travel. I prefer smaller motel. I have never had a bad experience. Many years ago I worked Security for a large downtown Toronto hotel. Was working the day of 911 and the weeks that followed were challenging. For that reason I now choose smaller motels

We were quite dismayed with our check-in and the room. The first offence was that the office stunk of cigarette smoke. I had booked with ********** but the desk clerk told my husband he had no record of it and offered a rate of $109.00. When my husband said the rate we booked at was $82.00, the clerk said, "Okay. $99.00". My husband came back to me in the car and I gave him my phone with the app, showing our confirmation. My husband showed it to the clerk, who miraculously was then able to find the booking. This scenario makes me think the clerk was trying to pocket $100. The next thing he did was to take a copy of both sides of my husband's credit card, saying it was needed by the police! My husband checked with the credit card company who said this was not allowed and we should cancel the card, which he did. The bed is constructed on what seems to be a platform made for one mattress but they have put on what looks like a thin box-spring topped with a ridiculously thick mattress. (Look at photos.) I am 5'6" and had to pull a chair over to use to boost myself up on to the bed! The edge of the duvet, which was granted supposed to be covered by two sheets rather than a duvet cover (as some places do) was grimey. My husband accidently knocked off the air-conditioner cover and saw a MAT of dust on the filter. This is an old motel and it's nice to see it still going, but they made a mistake on the beds; need to clean the AC filters and the mess outside on the premises. Also, the clerk needs to be investigated.

This place is horrible! The rooms are filthy, the sinks, toilets, bathtubs are all dirty, baseboards have thick coats of dirt, doors are dirty, the shower curtains are stained. No one comes to clean the rooms or change the sheets, you are expected to do it yourself and most of the guys who stay here work 12+ hours of the day. Every time you want to do laundry you have to ask for a key and you will be charged $10, also the laundry room smells like urine. The washer and dryer are on their last legs and to use the dryer you have to risk electrocution to flip a switch behind the coin slot that doesn’t work to then press start. They have the dumpster locked so no one can throw trash away, the garbage can they want you to use isn’t emptied even on a weekly basis. The Manager is incredibly rude and constantly sends rude text messages out to the people staying there treating grown adults like children, and she won’t hold back when complaining about another guest to another guest. The BBQ pit looks like it has never been cleaned it’s covered in grease and dirt and is extremely unsanitary. The motel is covered in weeds. The “decorations” that are out are black, dead, crispy plants with Canadian flags in them on all the tables. The patio tables are covered in a thick layer of dirt. If you want to check in you have to call the manager (because she’s rarely there) and she will tell you where she hid the key so you can let yourself in. She is not there to greet you. There are many defects and issues and the manager is well aware of all the problems yet does nothing to try and have things repaired.
