The room is high-class, the sanitary conditions are good, and the front desk staff is enthusiastic. The breakfast buffet is very delicious, with a wide variety of food. I had breakfast while looking at the sea view and the sea train!

Facilities: The location is very good. There is an infinity pool on the top floor with a good view. The room is also good and very comfortable. Health: pretty good Environment: Very comfortable Service: The receptionist at the hotel front desk, the guy who picked up and dropped off the luggage, and the guy who served the pool were all very good. Everyone is very nice, except for a lobby manager and a lady, who looked at the name tag and it seems she is called Mithma, but she is not very friendly. We have a friend who lives in another hotel who came to Sofia to wait for us to have dinner together. This lady is very pushy. We always wanted to chase our friend away; when we were leaving the store, the lady was very pushy and asked us to give her a good review. Another point is that they charge extra for two people to stay in the hotel, even if we booked a double room. We only ask for this when checking out. This is not good at all

New hotel, great location, swimming pool on the rooftop, great view from the reception on the 10th floor. Pink sky is often seen at sunset. The hotel rooms are clean and hygienic, the hardware is of five-star standard, the service is timely and warm, and the breakfast options are a little limited. High cost performance.

First of all, let me talk about Ctrip. It is very unreliable. After you book a room and confirm it, they will send you a message the next day telling you that the room you booked is full, and then directly refund you. It's ridiculous. Ctrip

The hotel cannot be beat. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was unbeatable. The location is also perfect. We will be back.

Unsatisfactory stay

My wife and I stayed at the Sofia Hotel for 18 days from 19th July to 6th August 2024. The room was very comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the ocean from the 5th floor. The bathrooms were modern and well equipped. All the staff at the Reception, Dining Room & Bar were very helpful and polite. I wish to make special mention of some staff members who made our stay most enjoyable. We were always greeted at any time of the day with a welcoming smile and cheerful chat from the 2 lovely ladies at the Front Office, Roche and Mimtha. Both ladies were most delightful and always attentive to our needs. We were also made welcome at the Lobby by the concierge staff, namely Kapila, Sadhees & Raj who were always very helpful & friendly. We can recommend this modern hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in the heart of Colombo which is most convenient to all amenities. We were extremely pleased with the overall service, the meals and the facilities, and will be definitely stay there in the future. Denis & Nihara Loos Sydney Australia

Unprofessional service by the hotel I was treated like a criminal at this hotel as every time I ordered something they were behind me for payment They don’t let you charge back to the room I have travelled the world and never witness that rude attitude from the hotel Management need to get their act to get her Will never ever recommend this hotel to anyone And I will never visit here when I visit Sri Lanka regularly Bad experience

THE ROOMS ARE VERY SMALL. We stayed from 17 JUNE 2024 and checked out on the 21JUNE 2024 morning. We booked a luxury room, and it was terrible, so small that we could hardly walk around the bed. The staff were rude, the breakfast was terrible. Do not go by reviews, do not waste your money staying in this place.
