Always a pleasure to stay at Taj Samudra. Great service and a fantastic Breakfast Buffet. Some of the pricing e.g Fresh Orange juice in the Lobby cafe was extortionate, maybe an oversight

Dirty window without looking out side location

Great location with amazing views.... rooms are v tired and need renovation for sure. Staff is super helpful :)

The facilities are old, but the location is very good. The food is delicious. The staff are nice. The price is not too high for a five-star hotel.

I strongly do not recommend it. It was the worst stay in my trip. When I checked in at the front desk, the hotel customer service made things difficult for me, saying that the online payment was not in place, and asked me to pay again at the front desk, saying that if the payment was repeated, I could get a refund. But in fact, Ctrip had already transferred the money to the hotel, and gave me two order numbers for the front desk to check. As a result, the front desk said that they did not know what the numbers were for, pretended to be stupid and did not want to check, and said that they had to pay again. Finally, Ctrip customer service helped solve the problem, and the hotel let me check in. After checking in, I found that this was an Indian hotel, and there were dirty and poisonous things in the hotel. It is strongly not recommended to stay!

The breakfast lineup is the best

Wonderful hospitality with delicious food and kind staff specially Mr. Lasantha treat us very kindly. Lobby environment very calm and spacious. Specially cappuccino with cookie’s warmth and tasties. We book High tea from feelo and they gives us good discounts as well.

To begin with, the welcome and service was excellent. The variety of starters were really refreshing and delicious, especially the chat corner. Loved the mains and the dessert menu as well. Cheesecake was brilliant. I would definitely recommend their dinner buffet to anyone looking for a memorable treat with family or friends. I was served by the staff Dilhara, as well as Oshan and Gayan and they were the most friendly and their service was great!

Wonderful family stay for a summer vacation in an off season. Super friendly and wonderful staff to take care of you. Centrally located and all daily visits of the city our near buy. Sea facing and city facing views makes it even better. Highly recommended

I had a lovely Iftar yesterday..i was by myself but because of ( dilhara ) and the exceptional service he provided me with..I felt like I’m in VIP restaurant..enjoying every single moment of my food and time Thanks everyone who helped to deliver such an incredible experience (dilhara , chathura , Dias , wasala , gayan , Ruwan )

This is our first experience in this hotel and the high quality of service and attention to details remain. My husband booked this hotel to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The staff is amazing. Specially I should mention the names Kasun and Lasantha. They were very friendly with us. We had Golden dragon rice. That was actually authentic. We had Dim sum also those were scrumptious.

I went with my family altogether 9 people Food was very bad No word .staffs are lazy today I had a stomach ace . Yesterday i ate rice but rice was half boil and other food was not matched I think is not International buffet every thing budget offer

Definitely recommend Port's of Call restaurant at Taj Samudra to everyone who is seeking the best in town. We have visited them several times and the quality is top notch every time. Special thanks to Dilhara, Chathura, Oshan, Gayan, Ruwan and the team. Highly recommended!!!
