We came to Sri Lanka for the first time and stayed at this hotel. We booked the best room on the 20th floor (No. 2002) - spacious, with a huge bed, bathroom and a stunning view of the city. The impressions of the room and service were only positive: excellent breakfasts, polite and attentive staff.
However, it is worth considering that this hotel is more suitable for a short stay - 1-2 nights before going on a trip around the island. We booked a room for a week and eventually realized that it is not very convenient for a beach holiday and tourism. There is a nice park in the area with lots of birds and trees, but we could not find a good cafe or restaurant nearby. In the end, we went to the mall, where we tried shawarma and other food. The embankment is nearby, but for a full-fledged rest it is better to go to the center of the island.
We tried to cancel part of the reservation, but we were refused, so we had to stay until the end of the week. In the end, we decided to rent a car, and it was the best decision - trips around the city turned out to be much more interesting. By the way, the hotel has a convenient underground parking.
Overall, if you need a comfortable hotel for a short stay before traveling around the island, this is a great choice. But for a long vacation or beach tourism, it is better to consider other options.

It's a nice hotel. There are problems with faulty plumbing in the shower in our room. The main advantage is the swimming pool and jacuzzi on the roof.

Overall a good 4 star hotels in an excellent location. We stayed for 3 nights during the busy Christmas period. Excellent buffet breakfast and rooftop view. Common areas could be cleaner such as the elevator which needs a good wipe down which was full of prints and scuff marks. The staff were the highlight with excellent service.
